Apple & pumpkin picking in the fall is a popular activity with New Yorkers – a rare chance to get out of the city and connect with the nature. For a workaholic like me, it also means an opportunity to shoot some beautiful pictures. :) After researching various apple picking sights, I decided on Battleview Orchard in Freehold, NJ – about an hour drive from Brooklyn. This place offers many different types of apples, as well as a pumpkin patch to the public. You go out with a red bucket and a paper bag, pick whatever you like and pay for it when you’re done. Plus – the real reason I picked this place! – there is a bakery on premises that serves cinnamon apple donuts and hot cider! Yum!
