Any fans of the graffiti artist Fafi in here? Yes??? This one’s for you! :)

Every girl wants to be a Fafinette: the heart-cheeked, stripe-clad heroine of Fafi’s drawings. I got to play dress-up and transform myself into the character with the help of a wig, some jewelry and, of course, Lime Crime makeup!

INGREDIENTS
- Eyeshadows: Shoe Addict, Troubadour
- Eyes: Eyeshadow Helper waterproof primer, mascara, false lashes, liquid liner, white pencil
- Cheeks: Abracadabra magic dust
- Lips: Centrifuchsia lipstick
EYES
Because we’re going to be using such bright eyeshadow, it makes sense to do eyes first and skin later. Curl lashes and apply mascara to top lashes only, skipping the bottom. Let dry and curl again to open up the eyes. Dab on some Eyeshadow Helper and do a wash of Troubadour all over the top lid, blending out and up towards the brow. With a medium-sized brush, apply Shoe Addict over Troubadour, packing the color tightly for extra-vivid results.
Fafi’s character has big, curious eyes with lots of lashes on top and bottom and we’re going to fake some of them with eyeliner. Apply a dab of Foundation Primer under the eyes (this will prevent eyeliner from running) and finish with foundation/concealer. Set with loose power. Pick up the liquid liner and draw a long, winged line alongside top lashes, dropping it slightly below the tear duct. Draw another line underneath lower lashes, connecting the outer corners but leaving the inner open. Free-hand the bottom lashes. If you mess up, correct with q-tips (don’t forget to re-apply foundation in correction spots).
Stick on the false lashes to top lid only. If your falsies are thin, apply another pair and even another for a fuller look. You’ll be surprised how good it looks! Looking at the images now, I regret not defining my waterline with white pencil and filling in the space with pure white eyeshadow like Top Hattie. But you should!

FACE + CHEEKS
Moisturize skin with lotion. Apply foundation. Fix any spots with concealer, fill in eyebrows. Set face with loose powder.
Unless you do face-painting every day, drawing a heart on your own cheek can be tricky. I recommend doing it in front of a 3-piece vanity mirror so you can reference your work from an angle. Start out by drawing an outline with a dark-pink lip pencil. You can always correct it as you go along, just be sure to cover up the ‘erased’ parts with foundation. Once you’ve achieved the desired shape, fill in the heart with Eyeshadow Helper using a flat concealer brush. Pat Abracadabra on with a short-bristled brush.
LIPS
Fafinettes have an unusually thick pout. Seriously, I don’t think anyone’s lips are that plump in real life! But isn’t that what makeup is for? Fake fullnes by going outside your lip line with a dark pink pencil, and fill in with Centrifuchia. Dab a touch of Abracadabra, which has a glow to it, to the center of bottom lip for a 3-D pout. Voila!

I love Fafi! And you did her drawings justice. You look amazing! <3
OH! I love Fafi!! Those eyes are sooooo gorgeous, but I know drawing those hearts evenly is going to take a lot of practice. I might cheat and use a stencil! haha :)
I adore Fafi. I actually bought a pair of trainers (rare for me) when i saw her cute fafinettes on them.
OOh… loving the look!!!! <3
Where did you get that wig?
Also this is amazing and I cannot wait for the Lime Crime lipstick, that color is mad hot.

OMG I LOVE IT :3
You should’ve been the Fafi spokesperson, last year. Seriously, you would’ve totally kicked those Mac fafi wannabe chicks.

This is my favorite tutorial so far! The eyes are so gorgeous! Such a cute look!
my favourite!!!
I like fafi but i think Miss Van is better. I need a makeup tutorial:
“who can you become a Miss Van doll? “
I love it! Everything about this look screams fafinette unlike the M.A.C./Fafi line that came out last year. Fafi should have gone to you to collaborate with. Seriously.
Wouw! I love it it’s very inspiring :) I didn’t know there were comments I never saw it but I visit your site already 2 months something like that! Kisses from Holland

I love Fafi but I agree Miss Van is a little more raw and sexual around the edges, here is my favorite Miss Van graffiti mural in Barcelona

PS: Xenia your make-up is stunning, you put M.A.C to shame lol
I adore this look. It’s fantastic. That’s really all I can say. haha. <3
you look wonderful!!!! :)))))
I do love your makeup but I always think you overshop your pictures. It’s hard to know what you really look like sometimes.
Beautiful as always, Doe! You really captured the Fafi look :)
What type of foundation do you like to wear?
LOVE IT!
And you look great with darker brown/red hair.
And I also want to know what kind of foundation you wear. I need to buy a new kind (was using mineral powder foundation but i am unhappy with all the mica free ones so I need to go back to liquid or cream) and am unsure what to choose and you are about the same coloring as I.
Wow!! I really love this make-up tutorial. Sooo pretty!! I wish I could pull off a look like this. You have such beautiful colored eyes. And I love the hair. Stunning!! =)
this is fantastic!
You should do a Miss Van look too! :D
I so love Fafi!! The makeup here is so perfect!
Hey Doe, did you draw on your bottom lashes slightly outside your natural lashline or not? Because I’m wondering if that can make your eyes look even *larger*. And if some of us aren’t that handy with liquid liner, would sticking on false lashes on the bottom work too?
you look AMAZING. I love the eyes!
You are amazing.
:D gorge!
This look is gorgeous. I’ve never heard of Fafi before…
Might adapt this look for Valentines Day (I’m making a dress in pinks/whites/reds, with a skirt that looks like giant petals– think Madgie in the movie Fern Gully, one of my faves– and was at a loss for a makeup look to accompany it.)
Also bought more DELICIOUS Limecrime and am praying it gets here before Valentines Day!!
xoxo
Hey Doe!
You should try installing Disqus, a plug in that allows people to respond directly to each others comments. This is definitely something I missed from my days using Livejournal and I’m glad that my blog now has that function!

I’ve seen so many people try to pull of this look and mostly fail. Nice job!
I honestly never seen anyone so creative with makeup before. I’m in admiration of your style not anyone can pull vibrant colors off like you can.
I wish I could make pretty hearts on my cheeks like that! Mine get messy!
I loved the eyes! ^^
Fafi’s girls are really great! ^^
omg looks great, love the lip color
oh my, I love this look! You did it so well, it really looks like Fafi, great! <3
Oohh.. you’re looking so pretty in the first picture!! I wish I had a so beautiful pic of myself to remember for the rest of my life! I didnt know Fati, good to know! Did you make up yourself? I really like the way the eyes are done, congratulations! Have a nice day, greetings.
You’re too gorgeous, Missus!
May I ask where you got that wig from? =}
