This is a contractual, percentage-based agreement with Bideawee. I am not at liberty to arbitrarily select an amount beforehand.

You should probably understand that the percentage might differ depending on sales. I’d certainly not want to announce I’m giving x percent to charity and then that amount turning out to be disappointingly insignificant. I think sometimes people overanalyze things to the point that anything seems negative. I, too, would be uncomfortable announcing how much money I make to the world, and therefore releasing the percentage of a donation to my earnings as well as the amount of a donation would allow those who will to extrapolate and judge me based on the money I make, rather than my actions.
My blog doesn’t support more than 5 replies per thread.
I think the final amount (which I don’t know and can’t predict) will be more meaningful than X%. In addition, my company’s monthly earnings are not to be disclosed to the public.
I wish people would see this for what it is – a charitable gesture towards an organization I respect and admire, and not try to turn it into some kind of a negative thing. *sigh*
I will try my best to buy two lipsticks to support Bidawee. Maybe you should put like a goal of $100 raised and it keeps going up till it reaches the amount. That way people will keep buying and supporting until it reaches the desired charitable amount :)
I wonder if you would offer some advice? I’m interested in your lipsticks, but I’m a little chicken about the bold, out-there colors. I know that really, the trick is just to put on what makes you feel beautiful and strut it with confidence, but I’m a bit intimidated. What color(s) would you recommend for a VERY dark brunette with glasses (hot ones) and a pale and slightly yellow complexion? In the past I’ve just gone for berry, maroon-y reds with brown tones to them. Certainly not gonna find that from Lime Crime!

I think you could rock any of Doe’s colors :)
The most out there of course being Styletto and No She Didn’t but really, don’t be afraid to try color.
I have brown hair and really pale skin and looove Airborne Unicorn, though it fades a bit pinker than it applies (it does fade evenly though). It looks great, I feel great when I wear it, and it is moisturizing.
Hope you see this and it helps you with your decision to be bold!
p.s. I felt self-conscious wearing this lipstick the first time but it wasn’t long before I was feeling more confidant than ever before :)

Hi Reba :) I recently gave this advice to a friend who wants to wear brighter lip colours. Go for what you like, what makes you happy. Wear it around the house for a few days, or until you don’t do a double take when you look in the mirror! ;) Then wear it out and smile brightly at everyone. If you feel uncomfortable in your lipstick, it will show. But if you simply delight in the colour and how fabulous you look, people will notice how gorgeous you are :)
Colour wise, if you feel more comfortable in berry tones, Centrifuchsia applies as a deep berry pink on me. It could be a colour to get you started on Lime Crime’s awesome lippies :D I love them sooo much.
Kelly, I noticed that with Airborne Unicorn too! It doesn’t do that with me, but it does on my friend Nicole. Yesterday we were both wearing the same colour but it looked quite different on both of us, even though we have the same skin tone.
Airborne Unicorn comes out either pink or neon purple depending on the light with me! Its my all the time color to wear! I’m more of a medium olive complexion, I have black hair and brown eyes, I wear black zebra eyeglasses all the time, and I love my Airborne Unicorn!
Centrifucshia is my next color choice! As it comes out a true fuschia on my skin tone!
I think it’s absolutely wonderful that you’re donating some of the profits to Bideawee. I got my dog there a few years ago and was saddened to see the Wantagh shelter in Long Island, NY close last year. I’m very excited about my first order arriving.

I didn’t!!! *runs out to buy*
This sounds like a great cause. What percentage of your profits will you be donating?

We will be announcing the total amount at the end of the month.

Yes, but what percentage will it be?
If you don’t announce the percentage then it looks like you’ve already decided the amount you’re donating.

So what is the percentage in the agreement with Bideawee? Why are you evading the actual question, and why are you disabling replies?

Hm, I guess it does support more than five! I’ll be damned. It’s still locking the bottom posts though, not sure why. :\
This photograph is just charming.

It’s just a picture, I highly doubt that was fed to the cat afterwards.
