I love that orange! I can never find it when I want it, most companies veer towards coral and away from true orange. That one will definitely be mine!

Retrofuturistic;
Gala was sitting once more on her desk, distractedly fixing her nails while checking randomly and not very often on the waiting room she took care of, working as a secretary for the spaceship commander.
Everyone had a different complaint she didn’t care about, she chewed her cranberry flavoured gum and applied some more “Retrofuturistic” her favourite deep red lipstick. Once more she turned her face onto the computer screen and softly puffing she pressed it with her pointing finger, bored and beautiful as she was.

Retrofuturist:
She zipped up the front of her sleek space suit and stepped inside her rocket. They had entrusted her with this mission, and it was her duty to be successful. The space ship was decorated in shades of neon and chrome, and it was known who piloted that ship. She sat down in the captain’s chair and pulled out her favourite crimson lipstick, “Retrofuturist.” A voice droned over the intercom “All engines are go”

Cosmopop
Leena began to hyperventilate. It was the first time she realized just what was happening. Standing in the holograph capsule, she panicked. Her band mates were next to her, in their own capsules of course, but they were separate, which made her uneasy. They were about to make history. In moments, all four members of the break-out band, Cosmopop, would be projected into the viewing rooms of nearly every major talent executive in this part of the galaxy, something that had never been done before. She got a one minute warning, ran her fingers through her orange-cream hair, picked up her electric pink guitar with its silver-purple unicorn design, closed her eyes, and became the future…

The hotel room was dark and eerily quiet. Her ivory satin gloved hands were covered in a bright red substance that seemed to glow. She stood before a gold gilded mirror and dabbed her lips with the vibrant color from her fingertips. She smirked to herself as she looked at the reflection of a woman behind her lying motionless on the floor, while that lovely red color that she used for her lips oozed from the woman’s chest. The mission was a success Miss Retrofuturist had been taken down.

Cosmopop.
Lucietta was calmly steering her Neon Class Space-o-Tron 5000 around the Color Giants. An orange uni-bot approached her space craft and demanded a search for contrabands. With nothing to hide, Lucietta opened the doors and in walked the uni-bot.
The uni-bot searched up and down and found no such things in her space craft. As it was leaving, it noticed a little switch hidden behind a screw. The uni-bot flipped the switch and it was thrown into the power core of the Space-o-Tron 5000. Since the Space-o-Tron 5000 was running low on rainbow anti-matter, the core happily accepted the uni-bot and commenced turning it into fuel. The uni-bot, however, did not want this and struggled against the force of gravity. Thus, the struggling released the uni-bot’s battery and a gigantic explosion of epic proportions took place. Lucietta, the uni-bot, and the Space-o-Tron 500 all disappeared and all that was left was an amazing ring of the most beautiful orange color. The ring was massive and stretched all around the Color Giants and still remains to this day. Legend has it, that if you manage to get a bit of the dust in the ring, the dust will transform you and build your confidence and illuminate your radiance till it bursts out from beneath your stilettos.

Cosmopop:
Stout little jars of candy lined the shelves, the array of color surprising any adult or child that ventured in. Any candy one could dream of seemed to exist on one of those many shelves. In a rose-tinted jar were the chocolate unicorns, strangely pink and shimmery. In a crystal vase were lollipop roses that continued to bloom in the sunlight. And then there was the rocket ship-shaped jar, filled with spaceship jawbreakers that would whiz around in the air if the lid was left off.
Ms. Cosmopop smiled sweetly as she picked a rather small jar off the shelf. These were her treasures: little gummy crystals the same pastel orange as her plump lips.

Great Pink Planet
“This hasn’t been a nice day AT ALL!” thought Lyla, staring absently out of the glittered taxi window. It was raining, the sky looked grey and it made even the neon colored buildings look dull. As soon as she got home, Lyla looked at the clock and realized she was already late for her friend’s party. But she surely didn’t feel like partying! She was just about to go to sleep when she noticed a small pink container on her pillow. “Oh, the new lipstick! Right, let’s try it on” she thought.
She leaned towards the silver mirror, her mouth now colored of a lovely pastel pink. She pouted. she smiled. She made silly faces. She laughed. She was loving it!
Ten minutes later, Lyla was in the cab again, leading off to the party, pink lipstick in her pocket and pink heart-shaped glasses to match. And behind those lenses, even the rain looked fabulous!

Great Pink Planet:
Zella had been lovingly grooming her darling pet Dwee when she heard the mysterious noises coming from outside, noises like the big comets made as they whizzed through the cotton-candy-coloured clouds above. She dropped her hairbrush and rushed outside, where a strange sort of ship-craft had made a crash landing right into her beloved pleezot flower garden! A figure in a shiny yellow spacesuit stumbled out of the crumpled door and and into Zella’s flowers. It looked up through a black-visored helmet, then slowly took it off. “A human girl!” Zella thought, throwing a lavender-skinned hand to her mouth in surprise. The girl looked around in amazement at the strange planet she had discovered, as Zella admired the space traveller’s bright red hair. She took a step closer and touched the girl’s red hair, comparing it to her own deep blue ringlets. They both smiled at each other and Zella took the girl’s hand, ready to show her all the surprises her home had to offer. But first — so many cosmic beauty secrets to share, and so little time!
These new colours are great, I’ve never seen such pretty pastel lip shades before!

I really like a lot of the colors you’ve already posted for the Candyfuture line, but I have a couple questions.
Does Candyfuture contain petrolatum/paraffin, beeswax, carnauba, silicone, or other synthetic waxes and oils? My lips don’t seem to tolerate those ingredients, and it’s pretty hard to find a lipstick (or even a chapstick!) that doesn’t have one or more of those ingredients.
Also, how long-lasting are these lipsticks? Do they smudge or transfer onto food, or do they stay pretty well attached to the lip?
Thanks!

My entry for Retrofuturist:
Lorna stepped onto the soft plush carpet and closed the closet door behind her. Standing between her hot pink leggings and candy colored pumps, she closed her eyes and waited. She had to know how it would end. Would they think she was good enough? Did she have the talent? Her designs had never been shown to the public before and the anticipation was driving her crazy. Beginning as a pinprick, a violet-neon light began to grow and illuminate Lorna as visions of the future flashed before her eyes. She saw Paris and London and beauty; visions of ruffles, tulle and pinstripes. And she saw herself walking down a runway with her name in that same violet-neon light behind her.
As she breathed a sigh of relief, she smiled to herself as she realized she was going to make it.

That was IT for her.
The holographic touch-screen computer on her aqua perspex desk had never been “reliable”, exactly, but it certainly wasn’t responsible for bad news headlines. The flickering photo accompanying the article was enough to send her over the edge. She had loved him since the first Earth War, and if interplanetary distance hadn’t come between them, then this female stranger was only a minor threat.
She clocked out early and sped off into the orange sunset, smiling with lips that mocked the sky, as well as his so-called bride-to-be.

With her bleach blonde pin-curls and perfectly applied Retrofuture-red lipstick, people always said Roxie belonged in another era. It wasn’t that Roxie didn’t like her generation, she loved hover-bikes and robot maids as much as the next girl. Yet there was just something about the women in the old black and white films that deeply resonated with Roxie, something tragic and beautiful that didn’t seem to translate into the rainbow colored lights of candy future.
One day as Roxie dined alone in a neon-lit diner, someone she had never seen pulled up on a cherry-red retro hover-cycle. The man jumped off the bike, combing back his honey-colored locks to reveal a face that she would’ve sworn belonged to James Dean. It was instant fireworks, what they called “love at first site” in the old days. That night James and Roxie rode out to a fly-in movie to see a Jayne Mansfield marathon. As Roxie held on tight to James’ leather- clad back, leaving retro-future-red kisses all over his neck, she felt like she had truly found her home, her place in the neon colored world.

Cosmopop ( Best color ever! )
As her bare and dirtied foot tapped along to the music the diner played from it’s angular, polished speakers; Peaches could feel the eyes of those nearby watching her with a nervous curiosity. She was unlike those in her town, and thus she was shunned by most she met. Like a ray of true sunshine, her long golden waves and flowing cream dress covered in miss matched buttons earned her sour glances from the women of the town. Perhaps out of jealousy over her beauty, they preferred wearing neat ‘plum with a sliver trim’ suits, harsh skyscraper heels and hair piled just as high. Smart, straight and to the point.
Peaches rolled her eyes before fluttering her lashes, shaded a mermaid aquamarine towards the new bar boy, who had been trying not to stare and failing terribly. She whistled once and he scuttled over, scrunching his greased apron between his hands.
” One Cosmopop please ” she whispered, before laying a crumpled 5 on the counter. A few minutes passed and soon in front of her was the reason she’d ventured from her forrest hide away in the first place. The drink was a cloudy apricot shade, with a frothy orange and lilac top. She spent an hour savoring every last drop through the pastel blue straw, making sure to get every sugar sparkle and every swirl of sweet berry sauce. She stood up, satisfied and winked once at the watching bar boy; before licking the last of the orange cream from her smiling lips.
Phew, that was long =)

Cosmopop
If anyone knew how to arrive in style, it was her: the line outside the Cosmopop Club couldn’t help but turn their heads in unison, as if by remote control, when she pulled up to the third floor entrance on Sixth Avenue. The spotless white door to her convertible Ferrari Hovercraft opened to reveal pale orange leather seats and, at first, a single, shining white boot. She was tall already–with the platforms, she owned the street. She parked her hovercraft with the authority of a queen beside a large sign that read No Parking, removed her large white sunglasses to take one quick look at the man taking money from the patrons, and strode through the open neon purple door behind him–and that was when the party began.

Retrofuturist:
She sat in the back waiting her turn at the first open mic night she had been brave enough to go to. Sitting at her table, she wondered if she would be laughed out of the club. As she made her way to the stage the snickers of the crowd could be heard. Who was this tiny girl clad in a poufy skirt and top hat? But as this mysterious girl took the microphone in her lacey gloved hand she knew it didn’t matter what they thought. With her head held high, she formed her bright red pout around the notes of the song. The twinkling chime of her voice filled the room and floated out into the night. Up on that stage she found her home. The future, and the world, was hers!

Our Pink Planet
“Save the Unicorns! Here, take a pamphlet,” she cried.
Lana was doing everything she could to grab the crowd’s attention–those poor unicorns in genetic testing needed saving, and if she couldn’t save them, then who on our pink planet could?–and yet, of the three hundred pamphlets Lana had had printed out of her own pocket money, two hundred and ninety-seven remained. Was there anything to be done?
“Save the Unicorns,” she shouted, as loud as she could, persisting while her voice remained. “Scientists all over this world and the others are capturing them from the few remaining forests on this great pink planet for genetic testing, and many of them will never be able to return to their homes!” Lana shed a tear, for no one seemed to pay her any attention– if they watched and listened at all, it was to make fun of her pigtails.
“Lana,” a voice whispered. Lana looked around, but saw no one. “Lana,” it said again. “Pay them no mind. Your voice will be heard, and you will have done great good.” Lana still could not see the speaker, but accepted that fact and listened, hoping for advice, or some small comfort. “You need no advice, Lana;” the voice finished. “Follow your heart!“

Great Pink Planet
As morning came Dahlia slowly peeled open the petals of her rose bed. She peeked through them to see if anyone was around to play. Then she saw something in the sky. It looked like a great pink planet. Never in her young three hundred years of life had she seen something so beautiful. She’d seen the Unicorn’s Medow and been to the Sugar Castle but nothing compared to this. It was even as pink as her hair! She wanted to reach it more by the minute. But she knew her small fairy wings would never reach that high, not until she was atleast five hundred years old. Maybe an aging potion? No too risky. Then she remembered her cousin Lilac’s electronic wing enhancer. But nobody would allow her to go, specially after the incident with the Dragoness 2000. It was so lame! Human kids got to use their jet packs and travel around the globe without even getting in trouble. But not fairy kids! It’s at least what she thought.
She wouldn’t have it, not this time! She snuck into her cousin Lilac’s home and took the machine. No one would notice because everybody in town was in Sugar drop’s “Ginger Bread of The Year Festival”. Lilac never even used it anyways, she wouldn’t miss it. She’d be back before the festival was over. She put the robotic wings in top of hers turned them on and blasted off to the sweet sugary Great Pink Planet.

Her head rested against the cool glass, lights rushed past illuminating her face: red, blue, yellow. She had come this far, no sense in stopping now. Lifting her wrist from her lap she tilted her delicate face to read the time on her wrist watch, 12:42 a.m. the day has just begun.
The air-train glided to a stop, Bunny gathered her belongings and exited the monumental vehicle and stepped out into the shimmering metropolis smiling, her lips shone a confident red in the candy bright glow. She had earned her independence and the now basking in the glow of the neon lights she knew she will earn her fame as a starlet on the silver screens.

As Linda read her new issue of Retrofuturist she let out a big long sigh. What was she doing at the interview for Retrofuturist’s new face? There was no way she could compete with these girls. She was the complete opposite of what Retrofuturist stood for. They looked for fair, blonde, blue eyed girls with a great scence of fashion. Almost angel like. Not exactly what the sweat pants lover, bronzed skin, deep chesnut hair, and black eyed Linda looked like. She should just run back to her pegasus farm over cotton candy cloud. I mean she couldn’t even sport Retrofuturist’s signature crimson apple lipstick. Even her never aging nymph nana would agree this was a bad idea. But there was no other choice. If she wanted to save the trolls of Gummy Island, that were being attacked by the wild gummy bears. She had to win the prize. A snow queen’s sugar tiara. Worth more than even Neo Queen Elizabeth’s electronic flying cat. She would sell the tiara and buy a dimensional portal, so the trolls could have a new home on the gum drop forest. Every one was counting on her. This thought alone gave her the confidence she so desperately needed. At that moment she shone brigher than pixie dust. She was going to win and there was nothing these futuristic angels could do about it.

Product ‘Melody’ moved down the production line, parts being assembled precisely to order. Eyelashes extra long to flutter with programmed nervousness, skin the milky pale color of vanilla cream, soft and supple, and ready to warm with passion. Her hair was colored and coiffed to match an image of a pin-up the customer had uploaded. Finally, but most importantly, the naturally pouting lips swathed in a perfect red a reminder of a past love and the backseat of a cadillac, ready to yield to his whenever the need is there.

Even though everything went so well so far, now it was clear to everyone that the sweets-hating patriarchal system couldn’t be so easily overthrowned. She was one of the main leaders of revolutionary – women fighting for better world, for world with more chocolate and less stinky kippered herrings. Everybody was being arrested and she wasn’t an exception. But as they were taking her to the prison cell, she was smiling. As long as they didn’t take her fabulous Retrofuturistic lipstick, the universe was quite functioning.

Life sure was tough. When her parents found out about her passion for graffiti, they made a huge fuss and confiscated all of her spray paint. As if something like THAT was enough to stop her. Sneaking through the back door, she put a candy into her mouth and took of into the promising night.
Next morning, a police patrol went by a painted wall and couldn’t believe their eyes. “Who the hell would make a graffiti with lipstick?”

I lick the orange cream-sicle slowly, savoring the flavor and texture of the frozen treat. I’m on a bench in the Unicorn Preserve, in the center of the great Diamond City, on an overlook that has the perfect view of the Rainbow Herd. As they canter by, I sigh and wish that I could be as colorful as they are. A light bulb goes on over my head and with a smile I reach into my purse, and pull out my purple, unicorn-decorated tube and open it. A flash of cream-sicle orange dazzles my eyes and when I apply it, it’s smoother than silk. Who needs to be a unicorn to be colorful?

I pull it out and am disappointed in it, it’s not Ravishing Red, it’s not even Really Red. It’s red. With a sigh I pick up the phone, an iridescent violet colored imitation unicorn horn, and dial my BFF Stella. “Stella! I have the most perfectly fantasmic costume, but I don’t have the Right Red! Can you help me?”
She knows what I need right away, and dashes over with time to spare.
When my preparations are finished, I look perfect! The color is Retrofuturist Red, and it’s the most Radically Radiantly Ridiculously Red lipstick I’ve ever used. At the party, my costume is a hit, but it’s nowhere near as popular as my Rose Red lips.

Lola lived in a small galaxy where colors
were almost extinct.
A planet built on nothing but grey stone,
Lola wanted a color of her own
When she passed the rare garden of weeds,
she would admire the beautiful greens.
One day she looked at the stars
towards the distant planet
called Mars.
A man in a white suit who can
he be? An Cosmonaut from a
nearby galaxy?
He was by a planet filled with green.
She took her space shuttle out for
a quick ride, parked it close to
the Cosmonauts planet nearby.
It was a beautiful site
the blue,green and the white.
She left that day and came to Earth
her eyes popping at the magic
of a beautiful sunrise.
She was staring looking at the
sun, and vowed to stay,
and leave the dark and drab colours of grey.
Onto this planet filled with Cosmopop sunrises!

Oh, yay! My major is creative writing, this is right up my alley (or not; it took a lot to resist punning “write up my alley”. The mere fact that I was tempted to embarrasses me to no end.)
Okay. One for each, I guess.
Retrofuturistic: (I love your “Snow White” description, so I’m using it as a jumping off point. It’s a bit more retro than futuristic).
In the evenings, it would get dull around the castle. With so many balls to attend and princes (charming, of course) to persue, what princess wanted to be stuck at home? But Snow White’s stepmother didn’t like her going out on the weekends, so she’d wait until Step-Mom and Dad had gone to bed, whip out her favorite lipstick and minidress, then climb out the window to freedom. “Someday my prince will come”? Hell no: Snow White was sick of waiting and ready to chase some royal tail of her own.
Great Pink Planet:
As a little girl, Megan loved bubble gum. She’d chew and chew and chew for hours on end, blowing bubbles that were almost big as her own head. As a professional astronomer, however, she had to leave the gum at home and pay attention to her telescope. One afternoon, as she was pouring over some numbers from the day’s sky-searching, she noticed an anomoly — just a blip in the data. But she had a hunch. The next morning, as she and her research partners stood, looking in awe at the Hubble images of the planet she had discovered, Megan realized what the colors of the planet’s surface reminded her of. “Mmmm,” she thought, “Bubblicious.” as she reached into her labcoat pocket for her emergency stash.
Cosmopop:
They were the hottest new band in Candyland. They played all the great venues: Queen Frostine’s club, the arena in the Lollipop Forest, even Lord Licorice’s Fashion Week Gala. And every night, when they closed the show, Cosmopop’s lead singer Dreamsicle Lee would shout out, “We love you, Candyland!” and hurl herself into the adoring crown.

Neon wheels spun beneath her feet, shimmering shades of lemon drop and sky blue that sparked with glitter as she raced from one table to the next. Soon the weather would turn cold, icy flecks of snow falling like the entire world was being shaken in a glass globe, but for now it was warm and sticky out.
His eyes were the same colour blue as her shirt, his hands as delicate against her cheeks as a dove’s wing. When he kissed her it was like she had woken up, and the entire world had with her. A retrofuturistic world were love came suddenly and frequently and a girl that had once lived in a world of white could wake up to the intensity of colour.

Great Pink Planet:
For longer than she could remember there had been nothing but darkness. Inky black and going on forever. Some might have been bothered but she saw it like diamonds and glitter on a field of velvet.
That was until the planet had come into view.
This was the new beginning. Candy Pink from a distant, the stars were muted next to the sparkle of her new home. This was the start she had wished for her entire life. A place where colour wasn’t something you thought about but something you were. A place where sparkle came with the words and the very air. A new beginning on a great pink planet.

Cosmopop:
Spinning idly on the stool, her legs kicked in a way she thought was flirty. It was a legend that more than one starlet had been discovered this way. Play your cards right, act the part, get the part.
Giving another spin, she wondered how many of the orange and ice cream concoctions she’d drink before she was discovered. Not that she minded in the least. They tasted like orange laced heaven and matched her lipstick to perfection.
“Another cosmopop,’ she said, not knowing it was those candy coated lips that had just gotten her noticed.

Okay, second post. I’m coming late to the party; I just gt back from vacation and missed the first Monday’s color-story fun. I’m assuming that if I want to write abou tContessa Flourescent and D’Lilac now, I should do it here. If I’m wrong, let me know and I’ll re-post in the first vignette’s comments.
Contessa Flourescent:
Ken played soccer. He played tennis and he wrestled and, when he was bored in the afternoons, he’d throw the pigskin around with his brothers in the back yard. None of this, however, prevented Ken from strapping on a pair of platform stilettos and slipping into a more-than-skin-tight go-go dress and icy blonde wig every Saturday night then going down and Contessa Flourescent’s and becoming Kendra, Fantasmic Goddess of the Disco, doing her best to sing her way into a enough cash for an engagement ring and two spaceship tickets all the way to Planet Hollywood. His fiance never seemed to mind; if she asked nicely enough, Ken would let her borrow his lipstick.
D’Lilac: (Sigh. Another Candyland entry — I can’t help it it’s just such a perfect setting).
D’Lilac was the hottest club in Candyland — and that Friday, it was filled to bursting with writing dancers and pounding synth-pop.Lord Licorice was well into his second martini when he saw her: The One. She was rocking out in the center of the dancefloor, her lavender-blonde hair cascading around her and her icy blue dress glittering in the lights. He fell for the moment he saw her. Downing the rest of his drink, he carefully danced his way over to her. “Hey,” he stuttered. “Do you, uh, come here often?” “Are you kidding?”she asked. “I’m Queen Frostine. I own this place.”

Cosmopop
As Nina slowly regained conscience she noticed she had crashed in a strange forest like place. There were pieces of shredded metal all around her. The only intact piece that remained from her new creamy orange space ship, the “Cosmopop”, was the sugar insulator. What was she going to do? She’d definitely be late for the ball. She couldn’t even remeber the coordinates to the Jawbreaker Palace. She started to panic when suddenly she heard a rustle. A pegasus and her “prince in a shining space suit” appeared. He immediately apologized for not arriving sooner, but he had to make a stop at the Marshmallow Clouds for diretions. “Did you know a mile from here there is a chocolate fudge spring? I thought maybe you’de like to go with me. Or do you still want to go to the ball?”, he said without making eye contact. “Hmph! Do you even need to ask?! Ofcourse I want to go to the ball! Everybody is going to be there! But…. I guess we can make a quick stop before we go”, she said. Truth to be told there was nothing this future queen to be enjoyed more in life than chocolate fudge springs. She was feeling wild. Maybe she should bring a chocolate splattered gown as proof of her adventure. That would surely be the shock of the evening. “Perhaps”, she thought to herself as her lip curled into a smile.

Until the day he presented her a custom made luscious-retro-red lipstick…
“Retrofuturistic…”she whispered in awe!
“Now you can carry on your lips the color of the tales themselves, miss” he said…and she, once again, fell in love with her, now retro, android.

Great Pink Planet
The taste of cotton candy filled Vivic’s mouth as she stepped out of the crowded tram, . Neon butterflies greeted her and she explored the nearby park of minty green and lavender trees with white bark. The grass beneath her ribboned mary janes was a rose shade. As were the clouds floating lazily above her head. And the wind seemed to sweep into her ear, “Welcome to the Great Pink Planet.”
Vivic’s child heart leaped as she fell to the pink grass and rolled in some sudden delight. She was home.

The Retrofuturists:
They wore eyeshades so red, so vibrant you could see both love and rage in them. Their bodies were vinyl suits, sharp heels and slick straight hair in colors that hurt your eyes. In their bullet motorcycles they traveled time forward and back, conquering the ages with their calm but riotous music of change, celebration and romance. They were invincible. The were the Retrofuturists.

Another sticky, summer day in the lunar bio-dome. She was a brilliant botanist on earth and was now blazing ahead in the field of cosmic citrus cultivation. After watching the delicate hydrobots mist rainbow-refracting droplets across the orange groves, she desired some replenishment herself. A 50s-era creamsicle was selected from the Dessertus Digitalis™ and in seconds made manifest before her eyes. The frozen juice and cool cream melted over her lips as the stars scintillated in the distance. The future would indeed be sweet.
*Note of coincidence – August 14th is National Creamsicle Day!

Candice adorned in nothing but her lingerie rolled on top of her soft white linen sheets before bouncing up and crossing the room with a graceful glide. With one eyebrow coyly raised, she tilted her head slightly and pressed her lips on to his. And then before he could stop her, Retrofuturism was painted on the collar of his shirt. Letting out a smirk, Candice flounced back on to the bed. Nobody escaped this room without her claiming them as hers.

My entry for Cosmopop:
Back on Earth, Izzy had been addicted to soda pop. The tickle of the fizz of her lips, the whoosh of the tab being opened and the delicious, refreshing taste was one of her favorite things she reported back to the Cosmo Council. They were intrigued and decided to make a concoction to match this wondrous “soda pop”. A little starlight, asteroid nectar and a dash of moonbeam combined to make the velvety smooth, complete with fizz and the sound of a whoosh, Cosmopop.

Limecrime to me seems like the perfect place to buy items that are hard to find, due to being somewhat extreme and outrageous, but are very desireable. For example, it can be quite difficult to find loose eye and lip safe glitter or eyeshadow with such intense pigment anywhere else.
You mentioned earlier, in your “80’s alterego” post, that a properly frosted lipstick is hard to come by. I was wondering if frosted lipstick is to become available from Limecrime in the future. This would fit perfectly into what I imagine to be the ideals of Limecrime.

Here’s my entry for Great Pink Planet!
As the triplet suns rose over the horizon, Delphine hesitantly entered the airlock of her landing pod. No one had ever set foot on the surface of this planet before, and the thought of discovery was at the forefront of her mind. She nodded to the Robo-Cam that was hovering in mid-air, broadcasting every moment of her landing to billions of anxious viewers back on Earth. Moments before stepping into the airlock, she had slicked on a fresh coat of her favorite lipstick in preparation for her historic close-up. The blast doors of her craft slid open, letting in streams of sunlight. Blinking from the bright rays, Delphine took her first step onto the planet. Her defined lips opened in a delighted smile when she saw that the planet was the exact shade of her lipstick! From the delicate, towering trees to the grass that swayed in the wind, everything was colored a fanciful pastel pink.
Still grinning, Delphine turned to the Robo-Cam and simply said, “I give you….the Great Pink Planet!”.

Cosmopop:
The Art Gallery was abuzz with Sophisticates and Socialites all sipping champagne and marveling over the ‘lovely’ holograms. Lulu’s work with Holographic Photograms had revolutionized the medium and these snooty people had gathered tonight at this exclusive event to get a piece of this brand new fad.
Lulu smoothed her frothy skirt, frustrated with its dull black color. The clothes that her manager said were ‘appropriate’ frankly bored her. Everything in her life right now was controlled. Lulu, who never wore black and had no schedule, wanted to be herself again. Fishing around in her bag she pulled out the bright pink tube. She applied the sherbet colored shade to her lips with a small smile. You could take the girl out of color, but you couldn’t take the Cosmopop out of the girl.

She stretched on her bed wondering what she should tackle that day. Perhaps I’ll start a master piece… She rolled the idea around in her mind like a brightly colored ball. Stroll through the Square to find that perfect– but no that wouldn’t do either. Rolling out of bed she slid her feet into fluffy ermine slippers, wrapped herself in a matching robe and slid to the window. She peered out through the bubblegum tinted window that made the whole town look like one great pink planet and smiled. Perhaps another day… she thought, snuggling deeper into the folds of her robe before heading back to bed.

Countessa Fluorescent
The Countessa strolled through the park savoring the delicious taste of her new candy. Hot off the factory floor it was certainly the next big thing in bubble gum. As she crossed paths with a mother holding a little girl’s hand the Countessa Flourescent bent down to grin slyly at the wee child who shyly smiled back. Without a word the Countessa blew a bright pink bubble which grew bigger and bigger as the child’s smile grew wider and wider. When the bubble was the size of the fluffiest of cats she bit it off, whipped a lime green ribbon from her hair and tied it to the bottom of the bright pink bubble-turned-balloon! She handed it to the little girl with a reminder to always believe in magic before disappearing down the path.

The tune of “Pop Goes the Weasel” from the neighborhood icecream truck somehow managed to squeeze its way through the soundproof window. Eloise was glad though, even if it meant the expensive glass had stopped working. She rushed out the door without even taking the time to remove her old bunny slippers. “One orange dreamsicle, please!” she said, her mouth watering in excitement. Quickly, she unwrapped the cold package. The orange icecream melted as she licked it and dribbled onto her lips. Just how she liked it.

He couldn’t bear to part with her, not even for a second. He insisted on walking her home, even though he knew she would be perfectly safe walking alone. As the night grew colder, he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her close, making sure her bare shoulders were covered in his warmth. Suddenly, she stopped walking. Confused, he finally noticed they were standing on her door step. She slowly leaned in and kissed him, then slipped through the cracked door and shut it. “That was it,” he thought. She’d left nothing behind but the print of her red lips, pressed heavily to his cheek.

She skidded around the corner of the dark street, she had one of the last wheeled cars on earth and the flashing red lights of the soaring police car were catching up to her fast. In the age of flying ships, and saucers in the sky.
A day where every question was answered and there remained no “why”.
Looking through the tinted glass as lovely as it seems,
Lilah traveled back in time to the roaring twenties.
Where she saw girls dancing having fun, with
bee-stung lips and eyelashes that fluttered
in the hot sun. She borrowed a few things that day, to take back to remind her of that place. A great inspriration of what to wear in Outer Space. What fun she had when she finally found a Retrofuturist look to wear around.

Appearing out on the event horizon, the spacemen spied what appeared to be a poofy ball of cotton candy in the distance. But the closer they drew to it, the more the crushing gravity pulled them in, until they were swiftly plummeting through the misty rose-hued atmosphere. Miraculously, the spacemen survived the crash, thanks in large part to the huge pale pink flowers that grew as far as the eye could see. More investigation revealed rivers that ran uphill, filled with pink lemonade, and mountains made of frosting. The daring spacemen had discovered The Great Pink Planet.

Traveling alone is very hard, even harder when you are only six but it is down right annoying when you are six, traveling alone, and the daughter of the king of a new planet. Keeley was just that. Her parents had so tired of her sass they had requested that she stay on earth a few days after they departed. “It will be nothing but rainbows and lollipops there.” Her father had told her about the new planet but she just scoffed and rolled her eyes. She knew better than to believe him, she was six after all. Sitting all huffy and cross in her first class seat, surrounded on all sides by an army of servants, the captain’s voice announced ” Ladies and Gentlemen we are beginning our decent. Thank you for riding the SSUnicorn3000. Please look to the left for a beautiful view of our destination.” Keeley’s eyes widened, her frown twitched into a rare smile. It was big, it was pink, and it was hers.

New episodes of “Whats In” showed twice daily on hover-screens around the world and the women of New New York were expected to always be in the height of daily fashion. Tabitha tore through her closet in search of something, anything that would work, careful not to smudge her bright red lipstick. Among all the chaos, Tabitha smiled to herself. No matter what year, 1880 or 3260, bright red lips will always be “In”.

The Countess walked down the streets in a dismal array of bland colors encased in a gray sky. The whole world felt as if it were fading. That was until her eyes caught something that made her heart twitter. It was a window painting. As her eyes soaked in the delightful menagerie of color, she caught sight of her reflection in the glass. Her lips had formed into the Retrofuturist red that belonged to the painted woman before her. She closed her eyes in wishful hope and put a finger to her lips. When she fluttered open her eyes, there lay a stain of red upon her finger. She could hear the conductor of a hovercraft trolly begin to give the last call for passengers. She smacked her lips, a vivid and deep red, and peered upwards towards the starlit sky. “I guess I’ll wait here a little longer,” she whispered, clouds of mist issuing forth from her electrifying red lips as she spoke, the chilly winds turning her cheeks a red nearly matching the shade of her lips. Great Pink Planet
Once a year the Great Pink Planet hosts the most elaborate ball in the universe. The royal family makes an appearance for it is a most illustrious and notorious affair. Once a year they descend from those steps with their elaborate costumes and masked faces. There is nothing more beautiful or more terrible then to see a royal glide down those stone stairs. They remind us why we are here and why they are there. Nothing is more regal then they, more regal…or more deadly.
