Monday is here and I’m ready to unveil the first 3 colors from Lime Crime’s Candyfuture collection!
- #1 Countessa Fluorescent - clean, bright neon pink for that perfect Barbie pout!
- #2 Styletto – smooth, creamy black. Finally, a black that’s opaque right out of the tube!
- #3 D’Lilac – boutique crème de lavender dessert in a tube. For post-modern Marie Antoinettes only!
Quick snapshot of the tubes – front & back. Yes, it is a holographic unicorn! :D
FAQ
Q: When is the collection going to be available?
A: Pre-sales begin September 1st, with all orders shipped on October 1st.
Q: How many colors will there be in the collection?
A: The core collection of 10 colors, followed by the booster collection with 1 new color dropping every month!
Q: What are the rest of the colors?
A: You’ll just have to wait and see! I will be announcing them throughout August. :)
Q: How much will it cost to have this beauty in my makeup purse?
A: $16.
Q: Any chance I can win one?
A: Yes! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s challenge. :)
The next 3 colors will be revealed next Monday, then the Monday after next, etc.!

I may buy one just for the container! I don’t really wear lipstick because usually it doesn’t show up nicely on my super pigmented lips, and they never stay for long either and/or dry out my lips.

Doe – That purple shade is beyond magnificent! I’m so happy I’m not the only girl – aside from Lady Gaga – who loves rockin’ a purple pout! And gorgeous packaging – like a little treasure for your purse! It’s practically cosmetic jewelry.

Ohhhh! The packaging is so girly, I love it!
I hope there will be a cherry red. It might overturn my hatred of lipsticky feeling, I tend to focus on eyes and just slick on lipbalm or a weightless sheer balm-like lipstick with a non-sticky non-heavy non-drying feeling.
Have you been wearing Countessa Flourescent in any of the recent pics?

EEEK! I’m so excited about these! I’m instantly drawn to “Countessa Flourescent”; I’ve discovered a huge weakness for bright pink lipsticks! I only have one, and now I know to save my pennies for the LC one! (Believe me, I am saving my beauty pennies… every time I’m tempted to go spend them, I think “Doe is coming out with her new line of lipsticks soon! …I’m not even a huge fan of lipstick but these look amazing! I’ve never seen a lip colour that ’shade’ of black before. The texture looks really unusual, too…or is that just because of the surface?
Anyway, they look great. I swear when I come into some proper money I’m going to buy one of everything from your make-up collection, and that’s a promise.

I’m afraid I haven’t the skin tone for the lilac, but the Barbie-pink looks quite fun! And the tubes are cute, but the somewhat unfortunately remind me of the fake plastic lipsticks I used to play with when I was 5 or 6…

Awesome job, Doe. The pink is a color I’ve been looking for forever and unable to find, so THANK YOU. I found a similar one from the Heatherette line for MAC but found it too late and didn’t want to spend fifty bucks on Ebay. And I’m OBSESSED with Lilac/Lavender/Violet lately. I feel like you’re a mind reader.
Don’t listen to the haters, the packaging is amazing. If it looked like every other lipstick out there I wouldn’t be so interested.

Oh my. Everything is better with unicorns on it, I’m going to need to own one just for the packaging. Although I do wish you could somehow combined top hats and unicorns in some magnificent way.

To be completely honest, I’m not very excited about these three colors, but, I’m still pretty excited.
I already own a barbie pink, it’s awesome to know if I do need a black, that there will be an actual good quality one, and lilac really does not agree with my skin tone.
But, the little taste does make me excited about what the rest will look like, and I’m hoping for a deeper plum/purple, or orange.
Even if I hated every color you put out, I would still at least purchase one for the packaging, I’m such a nut for cute packaging it’s crazy, so out of everything from this post, the packaging has me foaming at the mouth for more. :)

Black lipstick is a statement color which can work in a right situation. You might want to sport it at a 1920s event, a photoshoot, a costume party or if you’re Lady Gaga. :)) It can also be used to darken you existing lipsticks. Turn, say, light red into a deep wine.

WANT! Especially the pink, I actually bought a kids barbie lipstick a few years ago. The quality was absolute crap but it was the only lippy I could find in that colour.

It’s so amazing that you’re doing matte colors that are unusual. Everything in fun colors, I find, is a gloss. Which doesn’t show up that well on my dark lips. And everything matte is beige or red.
I’m totally in love with those colors. I can just imagine how cool Styletto would look with Dragon Scales/Medusa eye shadow. :D

Of course! Matte colors are super-versatile because you get serious color coverage which can be played up with a dab of gloss on top. It’s so easy to make a statement with these!

I can’t WAIT to buy D’liac. However I love the colors, what first came to mind when I saw the packing was a very discreet vibrator. So my only hopes is that the packing will evolve with the makeup line. Since someone has to start somewhere and learn from their customer’s views.

The colors are wonderful! for some strange reason they make me want to eat peanut butter? Deliciously creamy?
I should food dye my family’s peanut butter hot pink, that would be a spurt of color in everyday life~!

Countessa Fluorescent
The Countessa looked out across the city as the setting sun bathed the sky in gold and pink light. How long had she been locked in her tower? How long since she had felt the breeze on her face and smelt the scent of the spring flowers or the spicy food sold in the city’s exotic resturants? How long since she had run and laughed with other people? Years upon years spent locked away awaiting Prince Charming. It turned out that Prince Charming wasn’t altogether thatreliable. There had been plenty who had tried mind you, scrambling up the tower or trying to catapult themselves through her window. One enterprising young man had tried to drop out of a zeplin onto the roof. He was due out of the hospital any day now.
“All I want to do” thought the Countessa “Is go and have some fun! I’ve never even been to a disco!” As she watched the people bustle about far below her going shopping, dancing, to the park or to their jobs, a feeling arose in her. Screw Prince Charming. She grabbed a glittery purse and threw on her best dress and heels. This damsel in distress was rescuing herself…
D’Lilac
Marienne stood at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, gazing up at the impressive structure bathed in a million glittering lights. It was as if the city had wrapped itself in the very fabric of space. A thousand stars winked at her through the windows and streetlights. There was no darkness here. She spun around until the stars blurred into a rive of light and the air around her smelt of sugar and lavender. Marienne let out a laughed as she danced her way down the streets greeting her fellow (and sometimes bemused) travellers with a wink and a sprig of lucky French Lavender and soft sensual lilacs. They gazed after her, the glittering star-girl decorating the sparkling streets in flowers…

Countess Flourescent
Red carpets reflect crisp crimson into the camera flashes and virtual feeds radiating throughout the land. The cacophonic clamor of crowds ebbing and flowing through Hologram Street creates a sort of music that sings to both the eyes and ears. Up ahead on this hypnotic horizon is a carousel standing like a stalwart beacon of Candy Sovereignty. And down below, weaving over gumdrop grass and licorice lanes…leaving a subtle hue of perfect pink in her wake, rushes the modern marvelous woman giving her all to every turn.
Yeah, she may’ve been yesterday’s soccer mom…but in this Candyfuture…she’s hailed as the always effervescent, Countess Fluorescent.
D’Lilac
Sweet as icecream, they said. Beautiful and kind and always ready for fun. She was the girl of any man’s dreams with lips perfect for kissing. The right color, the right shape…just perfect. Always an affectionate purple she was one of a kind. Her smile could melt the iciest hearts and turn the most stubborn minds. So the day she disappeared everyone was shocked. Where was their lovely and loving D’lilac.
