Crown of Candy Canes
Category: Photoshoots
Sometimes I get so much into the Christmas spirit, I go running through the woods with a crown of candy canes on my head. Sometimes Grenouille captures it.

Makeup: Nymph over a beige eyeshadow, red lipstick & blush, brown pencil for freckles.

I made this. Sort of. Bought the wreath and glued candy canes to it.

December 7th, 2009 at 2:25 pm[...] *sigh*I guess this means I’m baking Lucia’s cats on my own this year. I already wore a Crown of Candy Canes last year as a tribute, this time around I’m hoping to be rocking a pointy white [...]

That’s adorable! I kind of want to make a candy cane crown for myself now. MAYBE I WILL. And I’ve ALWAYS wanted freckles, my entire life. I used to draw them on, but I was little. Merry Christmas, Xenia!

You remind me of the “American Girl” doll named Kirsten when she is dressed for St. Lucia.

I just was like, “Did I miss something? Does she really have freckles?”, so I’m relieved that you only drew them on with a pencil. But they do look great and cute on you! The whole shoot is full of glee and so is your crown. :)

Wow, amazing! You look like a character from a fairy tale. Your makeup looks like you’re all frost-bitten and chilled. You have an adorable wreath-crown, by the way– were the candy canes edible? ;D
The freckles are absolutely adorable! At first I was confused since I never saw any in other pictures of yours, but then I realized you must have drawn them in.
Oh, and sorry I’ve never commented on any of your posts before! I began reading this a few weeks ago, but I was too nervous. I love reading your blog, it’s inspired me to be more confidant and expressive with my femininity and creativity.

You look amazing!! Great job!!
Your wreath reminds me of the Yule wreath I made for my Yule altar last year: Yule Wreath. But mine has candles instead of candy canes.:)
Yours is so cute! And I second an earlier poster, the first thought that popped into my mind when I saw you with the wreath on, was of St. Lucia.
The freckles are adorable on you. Great job!! :D

Exquisite! Lovely makeup. It’s funny how drawn-on freckles can look so cute, yet I have real ones that I can’t stand, and spend so much time trying to cover up!
I’d make a candycane crown….only I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t survive that long around me :)
Merry Christmas to you!

So pretty! We’ve been having horrible weather in Chicago, I just made it to the south for Christmas with my family, and now it’s been raining. No running in the woods for me.

Hi Xenia!
Just today I found your blogazine, and I am in love with all of your makeup. This look was one of my favorites, and I was wondering if you could please tell me what kind of blush and lipstick you used, because both are quite fabulous.
Thank you so much,
Jenna
