This is the outfit I wore to Nubby & Gala’s birthday party this Saturday. The instructions were to dress nice. :)

My new deer necklace! :D

Nine West, you are amazing!!
- Top: cute t-shirt from Yellow Rat Bastard
- Tutu: handmade it out of an unraveling vintage dress
- Purse: Hollywould
- Tights: Target
- Shoes: Nine West – in bright patent purple! With a weird ‘frame’ heel! Ahh!
- Deer necklace: Girl Props
- Nail polish: Jesse’s Girl (review below)
Gala and Nubby were born only one day apart and decided to celebrate their birthdays together this year. I loved the location – Strawberry Fields in Central Park (so many sweet memories…). In addition to meeting these two lovely ladies, I also got to meet Gilda, Star, Marie, Bianca as well as many other awesome, memorable people! Everybody was dressed up incredibly pretty – little Doe was in heaven. :) I think my GLEE-induced exuberance may have rubbed off on the passersby a little – they kept taking pictures of our group, haha! Someone yelled that I looked like a video game character. :)
I gave the birthday girls some fancy tights (black/white herringbone for Nubby, pink glitter Betsey Johnson for Gala) and some samples of my new eye shadows from the upcoming line (black sparkle with a twist for Nubby and bright violet for Gala). I hope they like them. :) I didn’t take any photos of the party itself, but I’m sure there will be plenty in the above-mentioned blogs soon.
P.S. Make-up tutorial coming soon!

oh myyy, i wish i lived near NY so I could of gone to this. I loved all the outfits the girls wore, but i especially love yours. im lusting after those tights. &
Nine West! I went into a department store a while back & saw a huge stand of shoes from there, & instantly ran towards a pair of AMAZING glittery super-high heels. i need them so badly, they will be my first pair of high heels >_< They are an excellent price as well :D
Here is a link to them (although I wanted them in the purple) http://www.shoewawa.com/2008/08/glitter_covered.html

So gorgeous :D
I handmade a tutu a while ago for a friend,
it was much much harder than I was expecting, but totally worth it. I love the lace edging on that one xxx

This outfit reminds me of my very first impression of you. There was a photograph of you on the Lime Crime website’s front page, years back, I’ll never forget it. I didn’t know that much neon existed and that it could all look so good together! I wish I still had that photo, it was so awesome. this seriously had to be like, 2004 or something. haha.

Hi, it’s Renée! I had a wonderful time meeting you and all of the other amazing people!! I wish I was more talkative but I was WAY nervous being around so many fabulous people!
I was totally inspired by your outfit and makeup that I’m going to do an abstracted painting of it! I’ll keep you updated on how it turns out!

This outfit is amazing! I love these colors together! You look great. I want that lipstick. I tried on a color like that at Sephora but it didn’t really show up bright enough. <3

You probably mean that picture of me wearing a lime green top with a hot pink ‘lime’ skirt. Yep, that was 2004. It’s sort of cyclical with me, except each round has a different spin on it. :)
♣ Mary
You know, I’ve heard so many great things about Berlin, yet I’ve never been. Perhaps one day we can meet!
♣ Nicole
Go ahead, shoot. I get so many questions about NY that I’m compiling a post about it anyway. Add yours to the list!
♣ Elizabeth
Aren’t those fabulous?! I’d had them for months, until I finally found that t-shirt to wear them with. ;)

Aww, you look so cute and you co-ordinate your colours like I do!
I adore Nine West, but they seem to have pulled out of UK retail entirely. Their shops have all closed down, and they’re not in department stores either. With my big feet I can’t do ordering online. It’s especially rubbish as they are one of the few brands that make my size.

Ooo I love the colour of those tights! I had some like that but they got a ladder and now I can’t find a new pair. :( Are those shoes hard to walk in with that heel?

If anyone is looking for those shoes, they’re called “egret” from Nine West, but I can only find black leather or black patent available now. They’re going for about $40.
I always like to check out e-bay for unique shoes that are out of season, too :)
