Tales of the Unicorn Queen

Photography: Grenouille

This is the outfit I wore to the Lady Gaga show. Stupid rock band opening encouraged a mosh pit (at a pop show!), and I accidentally ended up amidst it. Somebody pushed me, I fell, lost my umbrella, remote for the camera AND my vintage belt!!! The umbrella I found later, but the remote and, most importantly, the belt were gone. I almost died of grief right then and there, haha. I can’t believe how I attached I get to my clothes sometimes… But the show was really good, so it was almost worth it. ;)

Aren’t these fabulous?? 5 inch heel and still walkable!

  • Vixel says:

I love that skirt! Sorry to hear about the belt, I get attached to things like that too!

  • That’s a bummer but you look amazing as usual!

I think you’re so lucky to comfortably wear bright makeup and beautiful outfits every day! I don’t know if I could 1. pull it off and 2. avoid strange looks. I usually wear darker clothes and dark makeup. In my small town most people dress pretty “normal”.

Those shoes are truly to die for (and it sounds like you almost did!)

  • Em says:

Absolutely beautiful as always. Im sorry about your belt, how sad :(

  • patatafrita says:

Love your top! That’s one of my favorite blues you’re wearing… :)

  • Your skirt reminds me of a super cute elf from the north pole! Yay whimsy!

  • Kat says:

Love this outfit! The blue is so vibrant!!

  • Krisitina says:

Haha, I have those tights, they are super comfortable. I wouldn’t be able to go on if I lost a belt like that- I get attached easily. :P

  • Aether says:

This whole look is really great! You are gonna make me like blue! I have started to like it more anyway recently.. That’s terrible you lost that belt. :( It reminds me of India or something.. I love the shoes too.

OH poor dear. I feel the same way about my clothes. I had to throw away a beautiful black velvet vintage coat cause it was moldy and water damaged : /

    Shoes are gorgeous

  • Clara says:

    Ooooo loving the shoes!
You have my sympathy over the belt. I remember losing my favourite hoodie, I used to live in it and when I realised I didn’t have it anymore I was devestated!

A mosh pit at a pop show?

  • Gaiya says:

Of course we get attached to clothes… they’re like our bbf that don’t talk but make you feel and look pretty. :) So… I totally sympathize about losing the belt. It looks so unique.. That was a great outfit. The blue really brought out your lovely hair >_< You also did an awesome job with the skirt.

  • Lola says:

I can totally relate to losing cherished items of clothing in mosh pits! Oh the misery!

On the bright side, girl you looked fabulous!

  • christal says:

do you ever get weird or nasty comments because your dress sense is not what they call “the Norm”? people seem to pick on things that dont conform just wondering what kind of stuff you may have to put up with because you like being yourself :)

I have a top a lot like that one but mine is a very light pink and, unfortunately, does not have the little collar yours does.

Shame about your belt and camera remote, but I’m glad you had fun!

  • Jackie says:

i mourn for your belt, it’s gorgeous!
at least you got a picture of it first.
    >;o

My favorite Daily Outfit yet! The blues look amazing on you and go so well with your red hair. I freaking love the top the most, I don’t know what it is, maybe the sleeves or the collar but I know I’m loving it!

  • Kelly says:

I always love your outfits and makeup so much! But also, your gorgeous hair! I am a red-head with about the same length hair and I would LOVE it if you did hair tutorials as well… :)

  • Gem says:

gorgeous! i particularly like the top.

  • Kellee says:

Sucks about losing that stuff. :(
But you looking fab! And I love leopard print, so yay for that bra!

  • You are a total vision, Doe Deere! If I saw you walking down the street, I would be INSANELY happy – your outfit is spectacular! :)

  • Adam says:

Hey! It’s Adam from the Lady Gaga concert! He who recognized you as we were heading in, in the Heatherette tee?

Sorry to hear about your belt. Semi Precious Weapons created a mosh pit that night? I guess I didn’t get swept up in it. If you want, I could send some of the pictures I took that night… the decent one at least, if you’d like.

It was so nice bumping into you that night! Love the blog!

  • Eyeliah says:

  • Meg says:

Oh my gosh I love those shoes!! That is one amazing outfit.

How do you lose a belt in a mosh pit? did someone take it off you?
