Champagne glasses chime, the clock strikes 12, and we’re ready to welcome the new year. If there was one thing I could tell you on this magical night, it would be “Dare to dream”. Let your imagination take flight and you’ll see the possibilities you never thought existed.
There is no harm in a little day-dreaming. Some of the best things in life begin as a simple wish. Don’t sensor your imagination – perfect what comes afterwards. Too many of us nip our ideas in the bud, before they had a chance to develop. Hold on to that bud, nurture it, and you will see the fruits. There will always be naysayers, but don’t listen to them; they know nothing about how dreams work. Fight for your dream – no matter how simple, complex or unrealistic it may appear – and I promise you you’ll do better than those who didn’t.
When you make a wish tonight, I want you to picture it clearly. Close your eyes and visualize as many details as you can. Your dream is possible – if you believe it.
May 2010 be the year when we let ourselves dream!
Thanks for the inspiration! I think that censoring my imagination is something that I have trouble with some times, but you are totally right about fighting for our dreams. I’ll try to keep this in mind during 2010! Happy New Year!

We all sensor our imagination sometimes, it’s normal. You just don’t want to do it to the point where every idea you have gets shot down by your rational side. ;)

This year, I plan to dive deeper into the pool of my true nature and swim in those warm waters. Not sure exactly what I’ll experience but, as you say, that uncertainty is not a reason to stay on the pool’s edge.

Thank you so much for this. Sometimes I’m so passive when it comes to going for the things I want and trying the things I wish I could do. Or I feel like maybe I’m just not good enough. But, I’m going to save this somewhere or print it out and stick it on my memo board and try to go through 2010 with this in mind. I’m going to try to start the new year with no fears about just going for my dreams! <3

Awesome way of life, doe. Super inspirational. My one wish to “see” tonight is for my amazing ex bf to finally realize that the girl he left me for isn’t half as fun as moi. I want to hear everyone else’s one wish!! some people say that if you tell your wish, it won’t come true, but i think the opposite!
This year will be the year i live my childhood dream of going overseas. This decade will be the one in which I am an adult with a degree and a job. Is it wierd that someone who has never had a boyfriend (or experienced all those things a boyfriend entails) dreams of getting married…

2009 was a very hard year for me. Hard, hard work every day, with very little fruitation. But this year will be different, I know it will. This is the year everything will come back to us.
Did you know that we had a full moon, and the first blue moon in 10 years last night, and the part of the world saw a partial eclipse? What a way to start off a new year!

Yes, yes I did! I was so excited to see the full moon for the second time. So that’s where the expression “once in a blue moon” comes from!

I have so many wishes and resolutions for 2010! I want to travel more, photograph far-away places (I’m a photography student), and help others. Not only those, but I want to let my creative juices flow more often. I’m tired of having to dress the way others want me to or think I should. This year, I’ll take the risk and dress in those neon brights and wear the funky makeup looks I design. Thanks for the inspiration here at your blogazine!
