I say, open up a bank account and go for it! Sure, people steal other's ideas but that happens in real life all the time anyway...and if you can make quality products it doesn't matter. The main reason hardly anything sells is because people price things too high sometimes and combined with shipping creates an outrageous price...and yeah it is vast but if you have something original and people search for it, they will find you. My boyfriend made some peace pipes and put them up on my etsy two days ago and already sold almost all of them at $5.00 each because we were the only people carrying them on etsy. And you never know, maybe those mexican teenagers have crazy style too and will want your products...don't judge a book by it's cover! Don’t worry so much!
