I’m back from Disney World, which was amazing! This is just the fashion portion of my trip, or the outfits I managed to pull together out of a very limited number of items I’d packed. Enjoy!

First things first: my hair is now Draco Malfoy-white! I’m already entertaining fantasies of having pastel lavender locks though… The best part about having an, ahem, evolving hair color is getting to match up all the outfits with it. Suddenly, the colors you could never pull off before work splendidly!

Mickey Mouse hat, Luella dress, vintage blouse, Miu Miu knockoff heels. Yep, our hotel walls were, indeed, candy-purple — how perfect is that?!

No time for major makeup, but a touch of Nymph on the eyes and lips never hurt anyone. ;) Ahh, the beauty of multi-purpose products…

My favorite picture! This was in “Italy” at the EPCOT park.

Hand-dyed petticoat, Marc Jacobs sweater (buttons look like Valentine’s Day candy!), Forever 21 bag, Retrofuturist on the lips.

I love the way my nails turned out! China Glaze nail polish in Flyin’ High + gold glitter top coat.

If I could take this lolli-prop home, my living room would be complete!

An old Christmas ornament-turned-necklace.

I ♥ my Baby Phat cowboy boots. A little too much. I already got them re-heeled once, now it looks like they’re going to need new soles as well. That’s what I get for wearing them every day for the last 4 years!!!
Coming up next: pictures from the actual parks!

It looks like you stayed at an all-star resort, but I can’t tell which one. I only know because we stayed at all-star movies and the railing and everything about the ‘hotel-feel’ says All-Star!

Aww, I stayed in the 80s building at Pop Century. I loved that hotel!
Nice outfits!
I really like your hair and I’ve wanted to do that to my hair but I’m afraid of totally destroying it and also afraid that it’ll look weird with my dark eyebrows.

I’d LOVE to try that out. Does anyone know anyone/have pictures of someone with an olive complexion with white hair though?
Jessica Reply:

Chelsea: The only person I can think of off the top of my head would by Anne Hathaway? In Alice in Wonderland? I want to say she has a bit of an olive complexion? Not 100% sure on this as it took me 25 years to identify my own peach undertone LOL

@Jessica: Anne has a fair complexion with cool undertones. I’ve never seen someone olive complected with white hair.

Yeaaa, I’ve been searching and searching and I could just be ballsy and do it, but I just tried all red and while it was ok, I changed it in a week. I don’t want to try white and hate it after all the hard work. I have an asian-olivey skin tone, but I’ll find something that works!

I loved how they used gradient purple — a different shade for each floor. Rad!
Oh so kewt*!* I bet people thot you were a park attraction.
Ya mean *you* don’t have a giant lolly in your living room*?!*
I bet you can achieve that with a simple DIY…and now I’m gonna look into it.
A lil less razz than the real deal, but I am still completely in love with your knock-offs. I never even thought to *look* for knock-offs {knocks head against wall}

Hey, I don’t blame ya! Those shoes were EXTREMELY hard to find — when they first came out at the Miu Miu Soho store, they only had 1 pair in each size or something crazy like that.
I love your white hair color right now! It looks great on your pale skin, I’d look awful in that for example haha

Aside from my hips, nothing. ;) It’s a pretty full skirt on its color. The dye, I custom mixed out of a blue and green fabric dyes. I love dyeing clothes, it’s so much fun :)
Ohh, that petticoat is perfect! What brand is it? I’ve been trying to find one with that silhouette, and one that opaque enough to wear as a skirt..

Oh I love these outfits! I love how bold the first one is, it isn’t common to see you in black and white. Now I desperately want a dress like that! Augh I’m already getting ideas, I would definitely wear it with retrofuturist. I also love seeing you hair change color, it’s so much fun seeing what you come up with. Definitely looking forward to lavender locks.
I LOVE your Draco hair!!! And how you layered the dress over the blouse. I always enjoy your vacay pics because you find such interesting ways to rework the same pieces for an entirely different look!
Oh my, wowee! I especially like yor second look! It’s very cute! I think I’m now in need of a mickey mouse ears hat! Haha.. And your necklace is just too adorable!
Wow! The photo outside your resort is fantastic! So cute! I also really like how the purse string in your first photograph with the blue skirt looks a bit like garter straps! ^_^

Your nails are AMAZING!! I love them!
Your hair looks AMAZING! Really suiting. I absolutely love your Minnie outfit, it’s very cute. :)
Still jealous of your visit to Disney World, but at least I finally got to see Disney on Ice this weekend.
You look absolutely beautiful!!!
Doe your hair looks absolutely amazing white! I have wanted pure white hair since my teen years. My hair is so burnt out from dying it all these years I am afraid it might finally fall out though haha. Your photos are stunning as always and the colors really pop with the hair.
You guys must have had an awesome time down in florida. My friend and I are going down there in May for disney and Fabaic , the face and body art international convention. I can’t wait to be around so many artistic people and in the warm weather. Your post just made me even more excited now ^_^

OMG! Thank you for letting me know!
I love the outfits :D
You say you got those boots reheeled, and you might get them resoled? I didn’t know they still even did that. Where do they do that at? And how much does it cost? I’ve been holding onto a pair of worn out boots for months now because I can’t bear to let them go!
Doe Deere Reply:
January 29, 2011 at 6:54 pm
There are cobblers in most neighborhoods, although admittedly not a lot of people know about them. Most prefer to buy shoes and throw them away once they’re worn out.
Cost depends on where you are. I’ve gotten mine reheeled for $20, not sure how much the soles will cost though.
OMG! Might I ask what foundation, concealer, and powder you’re wearing? Your camera is “super” HD and you still look dare I say… Perfect? *lol* I checked your “Go-To Beauty Products” post, but I didn’t know if that’s what you’re wearing here. And, you didn’t list powder there.
Doe Deere Reply:

Doe Deere Reply:

You can get any hair this white, but it does take some know-how. I recommend getting it done professionally first, so you can observe and learn, that’s what I did. Eventually Mark and I learned to do each other’s hair.
love your outfits! I went to disney world when i was younger i cant wait to go back someday it so much fun! good thing you wore the boots because walking around disney in heels would kill!
