One-sided lashes, mascara running… This was the stage make-up I wore for a show with my former band Sky Salt, at the legendary NYC club The Bitter End.
INGREDIENTS
- Light Blue Glitter
- Electric Blue eyeshadow
- Black cream shadow
- Revlon Illuminance creme shadow in light yellow
- False lashes
- Black liquid eyeliner
- Black mascara
- Pinkish-red lipstick
Let’s start out with mascara and eyeliner which needs to be applied on the upper lids close to the lash line and the inside rims of the lower lids. I use liquid eyeliner by Prestige, but any liquid eyeliner will do. Apply Blue Glitter eyeshadow with a large brush all around your eyes leaving inner corner underneath the eye blank. Add depth by applying darker blue (Electric Blue) into the crease.
Now grab a medium sized brush. Wet it and pick up some of that black creme shadow. Apply generously underneath the eyes once again leaving the inner corner blank but kind of blending into it. The “run” isn’t an actual run but rather an illusion – I simply drew it on with a brush. :) You can make it as long as you want, but make sure to put a heavier ‘drop’ on its end so it looks natural. For the false eyelash look, take black eyeliner and draw 3 lines, extending from the black. I applied light yellow reflective creme shadow on the inner corners and blended it into the black under the eye.
I used metallic glitter eyelashes but any kind will work as long as they aren’t too thick and don’t overpower the drawn-on bottom lashes. :) Rosy-pink blush works great with this look, but so would apricot. I lined my lips with a red pencil and filled it in with pinkish red lipstick. My natural eyebrow shape was changed to… unnatural, haha, by extending them outwards, toward the temple. If you have dark eyebrows, simply fill them in with darker eyeshadow. Voila!

ohhh, i totally remember all these! i loooved them, i’m so glad they’re finally home!
