Tales of the Unicorn Queen

Beauty editor Heather & I chatted about why I started Lime Crime, inspiration behind color names and what makes L.C. different from Makeup Forever & MAC.

“Makeup and fashion are my pleasures! Sometimes your pleasures can get you in trouble. It can even be illegal! (Get your mind out the gutter!) Founder and owner of Lime Crime Makeup, Doe Deere, believes in the same philosophy through the presence of her fabulously bright and unique color palettes. Lime Crime Makeup allows you to make a scene…a beauty crime scene that will have heads turning and jaws dropping so much that someone will want to make a citizen’s arrest! Just tell them to put down the handcuffs and dip their brush in a pot of Circus Girl or Cleopatra Magic Dust!” Read more

    Weird It won’t display the webpage for me so I went to the examiner.com and searched Limecrime. I found several articles related to you but none were this. I did read an interesting one from the examiner Phoenix by Mela Strangie. I liked her idea of using a clear mascara and pixie dust to highlight your hair. That could be crunchy though…hmm…

    Cool new feature, I’ll go read the article now.

    I found the same article, but not this one… maybe it hasn’t been officially released yet? Hm. Anyhoo… still so excited! By the way, where on earth do you manage to find japanese nail extensions? Also, you may have done this already (i forget, and I’m going to check after this comment), but could you do a tutorial expressly on applying fake eyelashes and cutting them to the right size? And do you use whatever glue is sold with the lashes, or… etc, etc, etc. Once you’re not under so much stress, of course. Well. I do hope your wrist is feeling much better? And, do continue to be as fabulous as you are.

    Hey darling. I think there’s something wrong with your link. You have an extra Http:// in there. When I took it out the link worked. Great work in being in the article!

  • Doe Deere says:

    Link fixed! Thanks for letting me know :)

  • Great little feature! I love what Lime Crime represents. :}

    NOOOOOO! A new lipstick every month for 9 months?! I can’t even decide on a few out of the 10 there are now!

  • Howdy are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and create my own. Do you need any coding expertise to make your own blog? Any help would be really appreciated!
