To enter, answer the following:
If someone was to create a makeup product in tribute to you, what would it be and what would it be called?
I will pick my favorite submission on the night of Tuesday, May 5th. Impress me! :)

F3! (F-Cubed!: Fierce, Fly and Fabulous!)
If someone were to create a makeup product for me it would be an eyeshadow/eye liner called musician’s delight. This product would be inspired by my firs solo clarinet concert in symphony hall, boston. It would be a rich black with flecks of silver to make it shine.
I’ve given this a lot of thought for the last few years. It’d be the PERFECT shimmery eyeshadow, purple with a electric-blue sheen to it, and it’d be called Serendipity. :)
Accidently hit enter before I finished. So like I said it would be called F3! and it would be an eyeshadow trio containing a matte, frost and glitter shadow. The matte would be a purpley-gold color, the frost would look white but actually show up a hot pink color and the glitter would be fire engine red. You don’t see a lot of red when it comes to eyeshadows.
It would be an eyeshadow to remind me that I do matter and the things I do make a great impact on my family..It would have to be a seagreen with lots of shine…tranquil…I would name it meaningful bliss…….
It would be a sky/sea blue eyeshadow very similar to the color of my eyes. I would call it Oceanic. Because there was a guy in college who one night looked deeply into my eyes and said completely serious “Your eyes are so OCEANIC!” It was an inside joke between my friends and I. Its one of my favorite memories from that time. I’m not even sure if that’s a real word.
it’d definitely be a line of lipglosses with super shine and no stickiness. It’d be called Sugar for your lips – so sweet it won’t go to your hips! can you just picture the infomercial now?!
If someone made me a product it would be a lipstick (I love lipsticks) in a dark red and a bit of violet tone vith some shiny sparkles in it. This is because of my need to always look proffessional in my work and I’m always happy and shining, it should have the name happy perfection.
I really love your blog by the way, and your makeup is always so full of fantasy and bright colours =)
If someone was to create me an item of makeup, it would have to finally be the perfect red lipstick. I love red lipstick, its the perfect vintage pinup colour and it has the possibility to look great with any skin toning or hair colour.
For years I’ve been changing brands, mixing them, experimenting with glosses, stains, eye shadows mixed with gloss and vaseline and more and have never found one that lasts properly. It would be glossy and bright, and most certainly never ever bleed, even without lipliner. I have quite large and pouty lips and run the risk of lipstick looking like its gone over the edges of my lips, so it would have to have perfect hold, but most definetly have the brightest and boldest shade.
They’d called it ‘Cherry Kitten’, and it would be versatile enough to match my skin no matter what colour I dyed my hair. It would be inspired by the true pinups of the 40′s and 50′s and modern enough to look fantastic no matter how you decided to dress that day. After all, red lipstick is the perfect finish to every outfit!
It would be loose powder and glitter in all sorts of BRIGHT colors. And it would be called DRAG because every time I wear bright glitter/shadow, all my friends say I look like I’m in drag! AND I LOVE IT!
if anyone made makeup for me it would be an eyeshadow pallette with three colors
the eyeshadows would be longlasting glitters in neon pink, green and yellow
they’d be called “ravers fantasy” because, hello, they’re neon glitter and can stay on all night
:D
also theyd make me the queen of the kandi kids
I would love for it to be an eyeshadow of a gorgeous teal color that would darken with friction (like the Jade from Kryolan) and coulr therefore be used as eyeshadow and matching eyeliner for a gorgeous winged out cat’s eye… So pretty! Teal is one of the most gorgeous and changing colors to me, and it just looks good in so any ways…
How fun!!! :) I think my “tribute” makeup product would be lipstick. Something in a fabulously dramatic package; black and white vertical stripes up and down the tube. And when you opened it up, it would be the most fantastic, bright red. Something that was opaque and creamy and gave the wearer the most dramatic red pout ever. A real red: with a hint of a blue undertone. The name would be “Ladybug”, since my childhood nickname was after the brightly colored bug! (Hence my love of black, white and red too, I believe… lol!)
If someone were to create a makeup product in tribute to me I think it would have to be the perfect red lipstick for pale natural blondes who’ve dyed their hair bright red.
It’d be deep and dramatic with more than a hint of glitter and it would be called “The Finishing Touch” because I coordinate everything else to my hair already!
As I am Brazilian by birth it`d be a beautiful shade of bronzer, with the right amount of shimmer to make you glow and the right amount of colour to make your skin look sun-kissed, just as I do when I`m in Brazil for Summer. You could use it on your cleavage and shoulders and look stunningly tanned! It`d be called “Girl from Ipanema”.
If someone would create make-up inspired by me, it would be a jar filled with pink glitters. These glitters could be used for your eyes, cheeks, lips but also for your body if you want a fantasy sparkle look. It would be called something like: ‘Outstanding’. Because that’s what I am.
My favourite color is pink and I love sparkles. Most of my make-up exist of sparkles.. If I wanted I could have sparkles everywhere. So it would be awsome to have pink sparkles in one jar, that I could use for everything. Because that would totally be me.
My tribute makeup would be a cheek bone/brow bone highlighter because I have high cheekbones and a great brow bone. Sometimes I have to lazy or in a huge rush to put my full make up routine on, so I just highlight my cheek bones and brown bone and I look polished. Plus one time when i got dressed up as an elf (for a Lord of the Rings) I used a lot of highlight powder all over my face to give my self that mysterious glow, I got lots of glances on the bus ride up to the theater . . . might have been my deep green velvet robes to :P
It would have a slight blueish sheen to it because I like the colour blue and it looks really good on me.
The name would be “Mystery wrapped in an Enigma” because a guy once told me I was a mystery wrapped in an enigma. (this was the same guy who bit my face when he tried to kiss me)
Strangely enough, I think mine would be a nailpolish, titled “Mischief Managed” (extra points to the Harry Potter geeks who catch the reference!).
I don’t wear polish often because it chips– so this stuff would be durable and dangerous. You can manage your mischief (and then some!) and not scratch a nail.
It’d be a dark navy blue, with the most amazing plum & violet hints when it catches the sunlight.
I’d be the tributee of the “Naughty librarian” lipstick – a deep vintage red with cold undertones of plum, wine and aubergine. The cartridge would be an Alphonse Mucha-inspired Art Noveau thing in pale champagne mother-of-pearl and silver, possibly with a couple of stylized leaves and tendrils curving around it.
This would be perfect with my work outfit at the Gothenburg Museum of Natural history – classic black pencil skirts and blouses which I feel I owe to the 1917 building with its many secret rooms and towers (and icky things in jars).
It would be called Black Mustang….it’s been my dream car ever since I was a little girl so I think it would do nicely as a makeup line as well…deep dark and mysterious colors would be the line.
my signature product would be a basic medium brown matte eye shadow to give your eyes a natural yet intense look.
it would be called PRESENT PERFECT for several reasons – 1) nerdy grammar, that fits. it’s just me 2) the idea that the present is perfect, als well as a gift. And I think that would be great for such a basic make up product because it just highlights who you are and that you dont need crazy colours to hide yourself behind a mask. it just brings the best out of you, present perfection – because every woman is perfect.
If someone was to create a makeup product in tribute to me, it would be the perfect Halloween-orange mineral pigment that I could use on my eyes, lips, and cheeks. It would be the perfect pumpkin colour with gold and silver reflects in it in the spirit of a jack-o-lantern with a gold flame in it and also reflect the traditional silver jewelry of Witches (which I am one ^__^). It would be versatile (mix with vaseline to create a lip or cheek stain, or use straight as a pigment) and over different bases the look will transform (i.e. on a black base, the gold and silver will really shine through with a hint of orange like fire), so it will never be a typically boring eyeshadow. And, naturally, it will be called “Samhain”, which is the traditional Gaelic word for the celebration we now call “Halloween”.
If there was a make up line inspired by me, I would want it to consist of lots of bright, almost neon, colors. Lots of duo chromes, since they’re my favorite. The line would be called Frankenstein Beauty: Cosmetics for the Bright Goth.
I think my ‘tribute’ makeup would be a line of glitters (kind of like the Lime Crime ones) that are super fine (so they don’t hurt your eyes) and super vibrant. My high school was always plan and boring, so when I started getting into makeup, I did the most vibrant, glittery eye makeup, that always got me noticed.
<3
If someone were to create a make up product in tribute to me it would be a rich, dark, plum lipstick with the sheen of a gloss. It’d be completely matte in the dark, but under a black light or in sunlight it’d have a kind of fuscia shimmer to it, and it’d be called “Gotham” (because I love Batman =P)
My eye makeup is always very bright and funky, so of course my product would have to be for your eyes.
It’d be an eye shadow duo — the first color would be like MAC’s Lollipop Lovin’ lipstick (my signature color) in eye shadow form: a bright, fun pink with chartreuse reflects. The second color would be a complimentary bright green with a bit of shimmer to it. Then you could pop open the bottom of the little eye shadow pot, and there’d be a little area filled with pink and green glitter gel housed in its own little plastic air-tight pot so that it wouldn’t dry out.
And of COURSE it’d be called Nuclear Cupcake. ;)
It would probably be a fun eyeshadow that can be dramatic if it wants to be, but is also easy to tone down for an everyday look. it would be called Dramatic Delight
If I were to have a tribute make up, it would be loose glitter.
It would be mostly iridescent, but with tiny hints of ice blue and mint green (favourite colours : ) ) so when applied it looked very light. It’d be almost as if it was the skin’s natural state, a bit like as though sunshine was shining through crystal onto it.
It’d be called ‘Artemis’ or ‘She-bear’ (can’t quite decide, hehe) because she’s free and pretty fierce.
The pot that it would be in would have a label with a water colour splodge of different colours as a back drop. On top there would be a hand drawn goddess’ body wearing a chiton, with a wolf’s head on top.
It would be a line of eyeshadows called “Dig Deeper.” They would range in color from beige to taupe, til you put them on – then they turn bright pink, navy, chocolate, violet, kelly green – because I seem very average until you get to know me..once you do you find out I’m a quite strange!
It would defiantly have to be an eye shadow. I think it’d have to be a duo, with this perfect red and blue that I can never seem to find! (Yours was close, Doe, but not quite. I’m not sure if anyone has my red. =P) The red would be that absolute fire-engine red with no real noticeable other colors in it. So many have other colors as bases and it ruins my red. The blue would be between that true, colbalt blue but darker. Both matte! The blue I guess I’ve seen but I’ve never liked the quality once I got it. SO, my red and blue together and it would have to be called “Harlequin.” =D
If somebody would ever want to do something like that, I’d say they would create an eyeshadow (propably loose or as pigment) named “Tremere”.
A dark red sparkling eyeshadow, where the red realy pops out when the light gets caught in the glittery particles, otherwise it would look more like black. (Your magicdust “Siren” comes very close to what I envision, but is a tad too bright.)
It would be called “Tremere” because of my fondness for the Vampire-Clan I fictionaly belong to and, accounting to my friends, I am a purfect representative of. (For those who don’t know the World of Darkness, Tremere are Vampires with the skill of “Bloodmagik”.)
Eyeliner or wet eyeshadow that would be an iridescent black with purple and green reflective colors. The name….Raven’s Wing, of course. This could also be used to apply temporary tattoos of Ravens!
I would have to say lipstick. And it would be a special edition 3 pack! A matte red, a nude, and a bright hot pink. I kind of have three sides to myself, and those shades reflect that.
red = sultry
nude = subdued
hot pink = crazy and fun
I also have very full lips too!
I have always been afraid to wear makeup because I worry about someone laughing. That sounds strange coming from a girl who has had her hair most of the colors of the rainbow but it’s true. So I think my product would be called Confidence. It would be the most perfect wild color of eye shadow I could come up with. One of my eyes is slightly higher than the other and slightly bigger than the other. Only noticeable when I wear makeup, but I think because of that it would be important for me to wear eye shadow any way and embrace my flaws.
This is so fun!
I have a bunch of ideas, but I think the one I like the most is a four-eye shadow palette called “Flower Eater.”
The star would be a frosty and vibrant seafoam shade. It’d also include a cool white shimmer (for highlighting and browbone), and two fun complementary shades – a beautiful baby pink (matte) and a kelly green shadow (pearlescent).
And just because I love this idea: I’d like an eyeshadow trio of the most translucent jade green, Alice-in-Wonderland blue, and shimmery chartreuse. They are meant to be layered on top of one another and finished with a light layer of lacquer (or, you know, vaseline), to give your eyes that beautiful appearance of Celadon pottery.
I would definitely want a liquid eyeliner in a bright, yellow orange, like the inside of a tangerine. There would also be tiny flecks of pale yellow glitter, making it one of those delicious, candy colors you just want to eat. Personally, I feel that when a color makes me want to taste it, or touch it, or smell it, then it’s a great color.
That color has always been difficult for me, no matter what I want, whether it’s nail polish, lipstick, or eyeshadow.
I think I’d call it Fruit Brulee, mostly because it’s such a fun word to say, plus it’s a yummy and super colorful dessert. If I could make it a real line, I’d probably include all sorts of other colors reminiscent of yummy candies and desserts. :3
I think it’d be a great, sparkly lime green eyeshadow, with a tiny hint of purple, and it’d be called Tea Party!
My product would be be a loose-powder eye shadow. It would come in a little pot shaped like an hourglass, and the powder would actually move through it as you flipped it upside-down and right-side-up again. It would be a soft mother-of-pearl inspired hue, which changes colors dramatically in different lights. It would be called “Moody”…Wouldn’t it be great if it could actually detect moods, like a mood ring?
It would be a hot red lipstick(I know unspectacular but typical me) and it would be called “Damage” because I’m very clumsy and always break things, fall and hurt myself by accident. People know me like that.
I’m addicted to nail polish :D I’d love it if someone created a nail colour that would catch everyone’s eye and instantly make their day cause the colour would be so bright and happy. Something electric, maybe a pink or purple, the kind of amazing colour that has everyone complimenting your nails. They should call it “be happy” or anything that will remind people of brightness and happines :D
ooh, fun question! thanks for posting it!
if i were lucky enough to have a makeup tribute, it would be a hot pink shimmer creme eyeshadow with some serious shine and glitter, and would be called “unhinged knitter”.
why? because that’s who i am! my name is tonks (so named for my *coughs* naturally pink hair, and thus the color of the makeup), and i run a knitting podcast called “unhinged knitter” and an online group called “knitherapy”. both of these places advocate for the use of knitting to cope with mental disorders. i love what i do, and i wouldn’t change a thing about it!
xoxo
tonks, aka the unhinged knitter
It would be called Starshine. Brilliant yellow and turquoise eye liners with a sweeping shimmery black eye shadow.
If anyone were to create a makeup product in honour of me, it would be an eyeshadow palette in vibrant and long lasting (no need for a primer) shades of purple and teal!
It would be called A-Me (Amy)
I’ve given this alot of thought previously.
It would be a sweet yet bright pink lipstick called Cinderella’s Kisses.
The obvious choice would be some sort of Mascara (My last name is Lash).
But if I had a CHOICE. I’d Like to have Eye shadows In bright primary colors- Like a kindergarten classroom. Maybe in a dual Pallet with Both a Matte and an iridescent variety- Or a Matte shadow and a glitter. I’d Probably end up calling it Ivy (I’m Lazy and It doesn’t sound horrible.)
My product would be an eyeshadow in a shimmery green with a nice touch of glitter and it would be called “Schnockered Irish”.
Mine would be called “GLITTERS” or “SHINY”(it’s a joke with my friends, when I really like something, I always use the excuse, that it’s shiny or it glitters)
It’d have:
* The perfect mascara – doesn’t clump, makes your lashes look like falsies, and comes in crazy colors, like blue, pink, green, silver and gold! (called “False Love”)
* A gel-stick eyeliner that actually stays on your waterline, and comes in a lot of colors. (called “Staying Power”)
* Lipsticks that won’t bleed! Comes in multiple shades of red, fushia, royal blue, green, and plenty of metallics. (called “Kiss and Tell”)
* Metallic and black-light eyeshadows. Comes in trios, singles and pallettes. Also, a trio based on an old one I got from my grandmother: has a white with ultraviolet shimmer, a light blue with silver shimmer, and a mettalic sapphire. (called “RAVE/POWER”) **(If anyone recognizes this shadow, please tell me, I can’t find it anywhere! It’s a rectangular navy plastic compact)
Sorry for the novel. :)
Ooh, this is so hard! I’m pretty sure a product in tribute to me would be.. a sweet palette, because it would be impossible to be just one thing. A couple of intensely bright, sparkly eyeshadows, blues, greens, pinks, oranges, yellows, purples.. :) With some matching, super shiny(and not at all sticky) glosses. But nothing like those silly makeup palettes that end up being full of really cheap stuff. Nothing but the best quality, when it comes to “*Fluorescent Starburst*”.. Ooh, now I just wish it was real so I could play with it.
Hmm… a Hendrix-inspired beauty product would have to be an all-over body dust that would give a perfect matte smoothness to any and every skin colour. I am a history student and my style is most inspired by bygone eras — Victoriana, the Roaring 20s. The women in vintage photographs seem to always have such flawless porcelain skin, so my dusting powder will give us modern vintage vixens the same!
I think it would have a long, overly descriptive name like beauty elixirs used to have back in the day. Something like “Miss Hendrix’s Beautifying Fine Complexion Powder for Smoothlicious Skin and Feminine Fabulosity.” And it would come in an ornate-looking dish with a fluffy poof on a handle for the ultimate in flashy application. The powder would also have sunscreen in it, by miracle of magic or science, to protect ladylike cheeks from unsightly sun damage.
Plus, everyone knows that healthy, beautiful skin is the best base for fabulous lipstick and eyeshadow!
I’m a long-time reader but a first-time commenter. LOVE your blog, Miss Deere!
I believe it would be a few things. for one, a vivid, hot pink iridescent multi-purpose glitter, called ‘Cosmic Lolita’, that changed from sparkling blue on one side, to bright yellow on the other, with smaller golden particles! (that would be perfection) as well as some super-pigmented shadow that was black with rainbow sparks, called ‘skinny jeans’. Also, a deep true wine matte lipstick called ‘poverty’. How lovely that would be!
