Mid-October. Far Rockaway Beach, NY. Finally, global warming is coming through for me!!!

The beach was EMPTY. We swam alone, only interrupted by an occasional cry of a seagull.

Feets.
A lot of clams got washed up on the shore and the seagulls were trying to eat them. I felt bad for the clams, so we found ones that were still alive and threw them back into the ocean. There were still plenty of less-than-alive ones left for the birds to eat though. :)

I got this cute strawberry bikini at Target!
Far Rockaway

On the way back, we saw this random Jewish guy sitting by the roadside, reading a book.

Deerlings: did you see/do anything out of the ordinary this weekend?
P.S. Due to a great number of repeating questions, I opened an F.A.Q. section. Thanks for reading it before asking a question!

Firstly; your photos are lovely as always! I’m glad you got the chance to go out there :)
Secondly; It’s not so much as odd, as it is that time of the year; I’ve noticed over the last few days that the colours are changing in the trees, and it’s still one of the most beautiful things to see a maple tree with mostly green leaves and a few pink-ish red ones dotting the branches, along with some golds. I’m sure the changes have been there for a few weeks already, but I didn’t realize it ’til I was headed home from work this past Saturday.

Looking lovely as always!
This weekend was the Canadian Thanksgiving, so I spent my weekend with my family and my boyfriends family working my way through a massive amount of food.
And I discovered that I really really enjoy red cabbage, a holiday side dish I could not stand when I was a child.
So my plate was loaded up with Brussel sprouts and red cabbage

Aww you look like a beautiful sea nymph. The feets picture makes me think someone had a leg transplant and got the wrong gender. lol I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary this weekend.. just caught up on watching an old show I used to love. I am taking a trip to Detroit next weekend for a concert though, that should be… interesting.

how FUN! i love going to the beach in autumn, just as the weather’s getting cooler. this Rockaway beach is awesome, it reminds me a lot of the old, weathered Boardwalk in Santa Cruz.

those are some great photos. you are simply lovely! i love the jewish guy though, i wonder if his horse broke down and he’s waiting for a spare…
my friends and i went to a local pumpkin patch at sunday night to parade around a giant corn maze. some of us dressed up in black capes and makeup. one of my friends found their way out in only 22 minutes while me and my mother in law took almost 2 hours to find the victory bridge exit haha

I went to the renaissance fair this past Saturday, and I saw Darth Vadar, Princess Leiah, and a storm trooper; on Oktoberfest day.

Aside from attending a surprise birthday party for my cousin’s boyfriend, this weekend my husband and I celebrated our 6th anniversary…by doing absolutely nothing. :) It was greatest nothing I’ve ever done, actually.

You have prettier feet than your husband. :) lol
I had a lovely weekend full of (Canadian) Thanksgiving-ness(Mmm Turkey). It was so fun, with my whole family there, and all the food, then going to my boyfriend’s for a repeat.

This weekend I went to a gay-bar that celebrating their 20th year anniversary, and danced.
Even your feet are gorgeous, I’m amazed!

Oh darn, half my post got swooshed away somehow.
I was dancing with my boyfriend at the gay-bar, to songs like Gina G – “just a little bit”, I wonder why the gay love that song so much?

Great photos – grey watery background makes your hair glow.
I love the photo of that Jewish guy.
The most random thing I’ve seen this week was a little old lady – and she was LITTLE, she looked like a wrinkled old gnome lady – walking this humongous dog that nearly came up to her shoulder. The dog was old too and looked really placid, but I wonder how she went with him when he was a frolicking puppy!

We don’t know each other, but I just happened upon your blog about your visit to Rockaway Beach. I was born and raised there, and now I’m a washed up, never been musician residing in central New York. Your pictures are lovely, and they complimented the beach that I long to get back to. Just thought I’d drop you a line to say I hope you enjoyed your visit to my birthplace.
