Friday was Fashion’s Night Out, an annual event in New York and some other cities as well, where all fashion-related businesses throw in-store parties and invite people in for a glass of champagne.
Sephora event was awesome, although very crowded! I got to hang out with my dear friend Richie Nickel, who is in town for Fashion Week, meet YouTube superstars Koren of EnkoreMakeup and Aubrey aka Fafinettex3, and even get a glimpse of miss Kat Von D!
After Sephora, we headed down to SpaceNK to say hello to our staff, then off to the Irregular Choice party. I am simply in love with their shoes and store – if you haven’t been, I highly recommend it! It’s like waking up in a magical world of color, textures, elephants and unicorns! They even have a unicorn carousel installed in the middle of the store (!!!). Lime Crime is so doing a photoshoot there!
Thennn we went to Wonderland Beauty Parlour to support our friends at OCC and the launch of their line. Founder David is a total sweetheart, and I got to meet makeup artist Katie Pellegrino whom I’ve admired for ages.
By midnight, my feet were done (that’s what you get for walking in 5″ heels on cobblestone), and we ducked into the subway to go back to Brooklyn. While we were waiting for a train, a cop walked by and asked where we went tonight. Mark replied “Where haven’t we been?!” and the cop said “That’s what I like to hear!”. That pretty much summarizes my Fashion’s Night Out. Am I going next year? Absolutely!!!

Deerlings, is there a FNO where you live? Did you go anywhere?

i missed the london FNO by one day :( they dont have it in switzerland
I’m originally from Boston, but am studying music in London right now. There was a Fashion’s Night Out, and I went with some friends for all the free champagne! Some places had various snacks as well, from sushi to mini glittery cupcakes that were 100% edible!! The winner for best drinks was Louis Vuitton, hands down. There were various cocktails from Mojitos to some mysterious but delicious fruity ones.
The best part of the night was that everyone was unbelievably beautiful and fashionable.

I bet those glitter cupcakes were from Hummingbird Bakery! They catered our events at SpaceNK back in October. :) Is this it?

I love your button hat, is it handmade? it’s adorable :)
I didn’t do anything but then again I live in a small town which isn’t really interested in fashion, oh well one year I’ll fly over to NY to get that fashion week experience xoxo

The button hat is by a French designer Clara Cherie. I linked to her in the post :)
What great photos! You look like you had fun.
And that hat is super! I have the same white tights — but they look better on you. :)

Actually, mine are light pink! And yes, they are so soft, they’re my favorite!
Sounds like the best night ever! you look really, really beautiful in the pictures; perfect outfit, stunning eye make-up
Awww, Kat! <3

She seemed really sweet. :)
I don’t think there’s a FNO where I live, but RISD (the art school in this state) has a huge fashion show every spring right before graduation.
That’s usually a major event that has been known to launch careers.
Also, LOVE the button hat!
that looks so amazing! i think i belong in that shop! but im all the way in England. anyway, i love picture 7!! and the carousel looks ah-maaazing!
Heehee–I have those socks! Damned if they aren’t just the cutest, comfiest things ever. I’ve been following Irregular Choice for a while online, but I didn’t know they had an actual store! The fashion department here at Baylor is going to Montreal and New York this summer, though (there every other summer, and Europe every other summer), so if I don’t go this summer, I’ll for sure hit it up my junior year! I cannot believe that I was BORN in New York, and I’ve never really been! It drives me crazy… I got to live in NY a whole YEAR and I don’t remember ANY of it!! :P
Ah, well–glad you had fun. No, there’e no FNO in Waco, TX, but there isn’t really anything here, so I wasn’t exactly surprised. ;-)

Not FROM Waco… I’m originally from the Los Angeles area (depending on your definition of originally, as you can see I was born in NY), but I just moved into the dorms at Baylor as a freshman.
BTDubs, your eye makeup is so gorgeous it’s killing me.
>>–LOVE—>

Yay! Thank you for that!
By the way, are you going to be creating the shop by look feature for your older get the look tutorials (the ones in get the look but not shop by look, not the old-old tutorials), or only the newest ones?
I love that dress!
wow it looks like you had a fun time! wish i could have been there!
I loooooove OCC! :D
I didn’t hear about any FNO’s here in Cali. They probably have them, I’m just not aware of it, lol.
If there was a FNO in my town, I didn’t know about it. :/
omg, I was at Sephora and didn’t even see you there, that’s too funny!! I guess I was too caught up with my excitement over Kat
I watched Richie’s videos and he is AWESOME!!! I subscribed to him and I hope other people do too!!!
This post was great! I love it when you inspire me by showing bold and fun looks!
Along with almost everything that appears to be building within this specific area, all your perspectives tend to be rather radical. On the other hand, I appologize, but I can not give credence to your whole plan, all be it exciting none the less. It looks to everybody that your comments are generally not totally justified and in reality you are yourself not fully convinced of your assertion. In any case I did appreciate examining it.
