Full of glee
Category: Makeup Tutorials

INGREDIENTS
- Turquoise, lime green, yellow, off-white and hot pink eyeshadow
- Light blue glitter
- Black liquid eyeliner
- Black mascara
- False lashes
I never bother doing the skin until I’m done with all the bright eyeshadows, so let’s do the eyes first (Most make-up artists do face first, then eyeshadow, then mascara but I’m not here to play by the rules). I am messy with mascara so I always put it on first to avoid messing up the eyeshadow later. Next step is to apply base (I use Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Liquid Make-Up) to your eyelids and start with light yellowish green on the inner corners. Blend into sparkling blue-green on the outer corners extending far outside the eye. The yellow goes above the greens, and highlighter above yellow directly under the eyebrow. Pink is applied with a thin brush (I used a lip brush) right under the lower lashes and is extended far towards the temples in a thin line. Apply false lashes as usual (see my other tutorials for more detailed tips).
Now it’s time to apply the glitter. (Please note that glitter doesn’t usually come out well in pictures even though it may be absolutely blinding in real life. But who cares as long as real people get to see it, right?). Glitter won’t stick to your eyelids on its own so I use a clear sticky foundation such as Vaseline Extensive Care lotion. Carefully dab the lotion onto your eyelids as well as over the pink underneath the eye (you don’t want to smudge all the eyeshadow!)
and quickly apply glitter with your finger or medium-sized brush.
I used hot pink eyeshadow for blush and mixed my own lip color out of several pink-tinted lipsticks with a dab of clear gloss in the center of the lower lip. Voila!

P.S. I spilled a bunch of glitter all over when doing this look – now everything is precious and sparkly! Wheee! :D
