Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately – been preoccupied with making future happen, if you know what I mean. Oh, you don’t? (You will, when the time is right.)
So what’s new in the Deere-land? Here’s a quick run-down:
- May 8: doing makeup for the fashion show of London designer Emma Bell. She is like a wilder version of Heatherette, amazing!
- May 16: walking the runway for Hey Sailor! at Dances of Vice on May 16th. The theme of the evening is Les Secrets du Boudoir – garter belts, lingerie, cone bras… oh yes, sign me up!
- May 27th, 9 pm Eastern time: blog-talk-radio interview with Glass of Win. I’m calling in for a 30-minute special to chat about everything from my new lipstick line to my favorite animals (ermine & unicorn). Got any questions you want me to answer? Post them here or log onto the live chatroom during the interview!
- June 13-16: celebrating my 28th birthday in LaLa Land! Sometimes I feel like I have more friends in L.A. than I do in New York, yet it’s my first visit. Photoshoots, adventures and a wild party in the works!

You must be so excited to be doing makeup for that fashion show. Congratulations! I’ve never heard of the designer(because I’m horribley out of the high-end fashion loop), but she looks really amazing. I love the bejeweled dog masks. Beautiful surreal imagery. I hope you post lots of pics of your makeup you do!

Love your vintage finds! I like pointy shoes others but they are not me.
And have fun in LA! Make sure you wear extra sunscreen in LA. I went there once and my pale skin got a rash from the sun in LA. Must be the whole desert & depleted ozone layer over there. And this was just me walking up and down Melrose and I had sunscreen on too. My skin was fine in San Diego (where I spent the majority of my vacation at).
