Mickey sunglasses, rose dress, red lips, cross necklace, tennis shoes, a cute plushie!
I am so excited to finally have a pair of the “Mickey mouse” shades a-la Lady Gaga in Paparazzi! You know me and my sunglasses… These are round with clear lenses but have two black ‘doors’ that pop up like mouse ears. I got themĀ for only $14 (!), and they come in colors such as red, white, black, hot pink, etc. Mine are tortoise.

Loving the pop-up ‘doors’!

What I love about these is that they make the plainest outfits FUN!

- Dress: you can get it here for $38 (thanks, Jess!)
- Necklace: Forever21
- Lipstick: Lime Crime in Retrofuturist
- Tennis shoes: Payless Shoe Source (awesome candy pattern!)
- Sunglasses: SunglassWarehouse, $14
- Sheepy: Target

I need that shoe!!!!
so cute!!!
and the sunglasses are not my type =)
I love your little sheep :] that’s just adorable.
Love and Turtledoves,
Jaco

Those are damn cute though, I’d be playing with them all day too.
I love how the sunglasses I wore as a kid (they sell all sorts and shapes at novelty/beach stores in Florida) are now a fashionable thing to have!
I wish i still had my flamingo ones D:
Aw, I had those as a kid! I think I’m going to find myself a pink pair and some jelly shoes. (:
Cute collection, as always!

Where is the dress in the collage from?! I love it, it’s PERFECT!
The sunglasses are tons of fun, and you can def. pull them off! Hot pink ones could’ve been a bit too much, but the tortoise ones are great!

I tried a pair of those sunglasses today! They’re cool but one of the ‘doors’ kept closing. >.<
I love the dress.
I think it’s funny, how everyone calls them the Lady Gaga Micky Mouse eyelgasses.
I First saw them years ago in Korean mini series. So they aren’t really new. (I have to remember the name of korean drama)
So cute,i can see the photographer in your glasses on second photo
cute look
Okay, I know this post is about the Gaga sunglasses, but the cute little doggy in the Polyvore set got all my attention! “It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!” (from Despicable Me)
Love your sheep! <3
I have the same one his name is cabbage!
your thighs look like tree trunks & the glasses make you appear cross-eyed
Dear Doe,
I love the way you can express your individuality through your clothing while I find it difficult to do the same thing here in America. All your outfits remind me so much of home and how lots of Japanese girls dress. Your mickey mouse sunglasses and adorable dress and shoes made me very nostalgic today; especially your little sheep because he looks like a very popular alpaca plushie I often see.
Being half American and half Japanese I have grown up both here and over there. It’s strange… in Japan I feel like I can wear high heels, dresses, and “unique” outfits every single day. Japan is very accepting of kawaii fashion but in America the same same standards do not seem to apply.
As soon as I get to my college back here I don’t feel the same type of acceptance towards that type of individuality. People wear pajamas or sports shorts and tees to class. I find it difficult to put together the same combinations I would wear back at home.
This past trip home I stopped myself many times from buying an item because I realized I wouldn’t have the confidence to wear it at college. Of course there are students that can express themselves just fine and I just wish I had the same confidence.
Reading your blog I have realized that anyone should feel comfortable to wear whatever they want wherever they may be. I should be the only one who cares how I dress so starting this school year I’m going to wear all the cute outfits I bought while I was back home instead of hiding them in the closet until my return to Japan. Likewise I’ll be looking for plenty of opportunities to find new and exciting ways of expressing myself.
As a girl caught between two cultures I feel like I can relate to you. Thank you for being so inspirational and a great role model to so many people.
Hello….I want one of these glasses also!!!!!!!!!
