Hello deerlings!

Friday is here, and so is a new tutorial – just in time for your Friday night adventures! ;) I adore glitter bugs – or anything that glitters for that matter, tee hee! – and had a lot of fun coming up with this look. All colors used are from my upcoming line, Lime Crime Makeup, and will be available sooooonnnnnn! :)))

INGREDIENTS

  • L.C. shadows: Ice Queen (white/turquoise sparkle), Nymph (white/gold), Empress (purple),  Duchess (blue-green).
  • Turquoise eyeliner pencil
  • Lips: violet lipstick + L.C. Lip Sugar in Blue Crystal
  • Blush: L.C. Marie Antoinette (pale pink)
  • Black mascara
  • Finishing powder: L.C. Sheer Magik Pixie Dust (wheee!)

Eyes

Prep your lids with a primer (I recommend Urban Decay, $16, or you can just use some liquid foundation) and applying bright purple eyeshadow on outer corners and under the eye. Blend Duchess (blue/green) gradually into the purple and into the crease. Apply a highlighter color like Ice Queen turquoise sparkle in inner corners and the brow bone. Blend all colors well. I put just a dab of Nymph white/gold sparkle shadow onto the very center of lids and inner corners.

I used bright turquoise pencil on the waterline. Two coats of black mascara on top and bottom lashes. Curl your lashes once the mascara’s dried. Fill in eyebrows as usual.

Tip: If you have lighter eyebrows, fill them in using a pencil or eyeshadow that’s about two tones darker than your hair.

Face

Moisturize your face and apply foundation & concealer where needed. I used an awesome pale pink blush from my own line, which will be available for sale soon. (Detailed tutorial on blush application can be found here.) Theeeen I set the whole thing with my new Sheer Magik Pixie Dust finishing powder.

Lips

I enlarged by lips about 10 million times here. Draw the desired shape with a hot pink lip pencil, then fill in with a pinkish-violet lipstick. To make it 3-dimensional, I used some L.C. Lip Sugar in Blue Crystal on the center of the mouth. Voila!
