Thank for writing this- I needed to read it. I am makeup artist and creator of Pedicureans Indulgent Foot & Body Care. Last year I camped out for the Open See while pregnant with twins! My response was great, but after beong told to set up a follow up meeting two weeks later I never heard anything again. My twins 4 months and this week is the first 2011 Open See. I will be there and hopefully I’ll get answers. Either way my line has soared and with or without this opportunity Like you said “I’ll live.”

Hmmm….on the one hand, I love that you march to the beat of your own drummer and offer these awesomely unique lip colors. At the same time I hate that everyone is bashing “wearable” colors. I mean, as someone who has followed you since the Live Journal days, I know that “wearable” to you is NOT going to be bland, nude, beige OR boring! I personally would looooooooove to see your take on classic, vibrant reds or bold magentas or (as someone else already suggested), amazing iridescent lip glosses. All “wearable”, but by no means average or pedestrian! Why limit yourself?? Be bold….and do it your way!

All great points! Our world isn’t black and white (or blue and beige???). I’d also like to point out that NOT wearing blue lipstick doesn’t mean you aren’t adventurous or bold. I think all the Candyfuture colors are amazing. I adore the packaging, I wear lots of wild, clashing, colors….but to be honest, blue lips stick isn’t my cup of tea. I don’t find it flattering on me (or on most! Doe of course the exception) and doubt I’d ever wear it. Doesn’t mean I consider myself “normal” or someone who would wear beige. I agree with Doe’s comment that it’s good it isn’t the norm! I love it as a more special color that a few unique people choose to wear! Who wants everyone to look alike? : -)

Uh, this really surprises me. I’m a quiet reader, but when I first saw your entry about Hendry Bendel, I was sure they’d be AMAZED by seeing your outstanding shades.. I’m sorry for that, but that just means you’ll get your success in a difficult way and THAT means you’ll be damn successful!
