The Melanies are onto something with the silver!! That would be spectacular!!!!!!! I couldn’t imagine being more excited about a new color other than No She Didn’t until I read that…imagining a seriously metallic and possibly glittery silver gives me that same rush of hopeful anticipation!!! PLEASE make that one!!!

Also love the idea of the banana yellow!! Smooth and opaque like the others.

Also, I’m in love with anything glittery and will want any color you make with glitter in it.

  • Lauren says:

Do you have a nice lemon yellow one yet? I’d love to do a makeup look with my two favorite colors, yellow and purple. You’ve already got the eyeshadow I want!!

  • Shannon says:

I chose more wearable colors. I actually would have liked to see a darker, more blue toned purple in time for my Halloween costume but I’m probably going to wear the empress magic dust on my lips. Having more crazy colors would be cool because I have some ideas for photo shoots but I’d probably only wear them once. Maybe make some more bright colors and make a sampler of mini tubes.

    Nicole Reply:

A sample size would be excellent- I would love to try some of the crazier colors but I have a hard time imagining what they might look like on. It would be nice to be able to buy a smaller size, or even a kind of sample gift set of all the colors.

    Shannon Reply:

yea, if there where like 4 or 5 crazy colors in a sample pack I’d get them because I wouldn’t wear them to work but I could use them for photo shoots. Also if there were a sample pack of the more “normal” colors I’d buy that because I don’t wear lipstick often enough to justify buying one regular sized tube of one color, I’d like to have choices without having to spend $80

    Rickey Reply:

woah! How’d you get a picture up there?

    Rickey Reply:

Yes to the sample size! I know I change my style so often that I’ve never come CLOSE to finishing a tube, and it’s not like I don’t wear lipstick all the time, because i do. And who can’t resist a good deal?

    Shannon Reply:

absolutely! and I think the picture is there because I have a blogger account

    Rickey Reply:

    Oh…I have a blogger account…but I don’t really use it, and I don’t think I ever uploaded a picture… hm.

    Shayne Reply:

I think the sample size is a great idea. I can’t wear really dramatic make up most of the time (due to work and I tend to be lazy with make up when I have to be out of the door by 8:30am) so a small sample size of lipsticks for me would work better. Plus it will be good if you aren’t sure what a color will look like on you. At stores like Sephora you can try them out first but when you buy online you can’t so I think a sample set would sell well for you.

    Suzanne C. Reply:

OMG you have to do that Doe! I wouldn’t buy D’Lilac, Great pink planet or No she didn’t normally but i might try a little sample for a lot less. I’d still buy things I really know I’ll love like Airbourne Unicorn fullsize full price.

  • bridget says:

i came here to suggest a glittery silver and to my surprise and delight saw it was already suggested. so yeah, please please please make us a silver lip color that won’t make us look like the tin man.

  • Momoko says:

WHITE! Pleasepleaseplease! It’s impossible to find a perfect opaque white!

Or maybe a powder green? Oh, or rich opulent looking turquoise! <3

But white's the one I would like to see the most. :) I think it'd be a hit!

  • Elrodien says:

Im dreaming of golden lips…not glittery though…
Id love it to look like molden gold:strong yellowish color, matte, absolutely opaque with just the right amount of reflection…
Oh…just thinking about it makes me produce an uber amount of glee!!!!!!
Please please please…you’re the only one that can do it!!!! And i absolutely need it… *lovesick* :P

  • Melinda says:

Ok i know I voted for the Deep Colors, but there are a few things that would make lime crime stand out.

Make a good NUDE shade that goes well with color tones, just so that you have a natural staple for just in case :).

Aside from that I MUST HAVE A TAXI CAB YELLOW lipstick!!!! That is a definite must! Or a Lime Green and a Chartreuse-y type of color.

    anna Reply:

omg yes we MUST for the yellow!

    Mar Reply:

I totally said this down below! Word up. Yellow is definitely called for.

  • Sonia says:

Indigo with a touch of gold?

    elrodien Reply:

    wow…sounds fantastic!!!

  • Leaa says:

I would love to see some awsome neon colours! like Yellow, Pink or Green! <3 I would love that! I also saw some girls suggesting multiplecolour-lipsticks.. like a Pink with a blue glow! Or a Purple with a green glow! woaah that would kick ass! <3

    Rickey Reply:

    ooh! iridescence… yum!

  • anna says:

I think more crazier “out there” colours like No She Didn’t because I think that just your normal, run of the mill colours would be a bit boring – however there’s always a way to “jazz” them up :)

I agree with what someone said about Taxi Cab yellow lipstick!

  • Kease says:

I would LOVE to see a dark forest green shade. I know it sounds insane, but it could be a lovely colour!

And I know lots of attention goes to Gold and Silver, but I’m IN LOVE with bronze and copper shades! A marvelous bronze would be divine with steam punk costuming too. Or even a futuristic look, but with a twist. It’s a beautiful warm shade that often get over looked. Heck, I’d adore an eye shadow in that colour too!

    Euphoria Reply:

The company that I buy a bronze shade from is more brown then I’d like and is crappy quality. Please, Doe Deere, help us Victorians!

    Tara Reply:

I second the dark forest green!

ever since I dyed my hair this color
    http://i37.tinypic.com/2r72gs8.jpg
I’ve been wanting a lipstick the same shade.

Also, deep jewel teals and matte silver

  • Laureth says:

I cannot even convey how bad I want a green lipstick! Maybe even a yellow or something crazy like white. Still, most of all, GREEN. :] And make it bright!

  • Allison says:

I would like to see some colors, especially purples and darker blues that are more suitable for olive and yellow skin tones. Gold and silver would also be very cool.

I love all the current colors but honestly many of them seem to be more suitable for pale or blue-based skin tones. You should have people of all different skin tones test and model your lipsticks!

    Mar Reply:

I agree! Yellow-based girl here. I love Retrofuturist but I’m afraid it’s too dark for me. Doe, if you made a yellow-based red I’d buy it quick as a wink.

  • Haley says:

I’d love to see a red/gold shade! Or just gold :)

  • Mar says:

A bright yellow lipstick would make my day!

  • TheStarcow says:

I’m sure any shade you create will be nothing less than FABULOUS! I nearly voted for the more Lime Crime colors option, but I chose other because I recently dreamed about a GOLD lipstick that was really awesome.

Some super chrome-y metallic shades would be cool, like silver and gold and in bright colors. A glam party for the lips!

  • Zoe says:

    Blueish violet!!!!

  • Nicole says:

I would like to see both more crazy colors and some more wearable colors (particularly in shades of pink).

I agree with those who have suggested vibrant, banana or taxi cab yellow, as well as various shades of green (perhaps a lime and a lush grass green). Greens could be particularly useful for costuming and I don’t think I’ve ever come across a good quality green lipstick in an appealing color. A deeper blue and plum would be nice as well.

I would love to have a soft, warm, gold or champagne-y-pink-gold that could easily be worn alone or layered/mixed with other colors for a delicate gold touch- a very fairy tale princessy color.

    Rickey Reply:

Yes to yellow and a super vibrant pure purple!

  • Hendrix says:

I vote for a collection of reds for different skin tones. It’s sometimes so difficult to find just the perfect red, and so many girls want it!

  • I’d love to see Circus Girl, Duchess/Mermaid and Empress (!!!) transformed into lipstick colors! A royal purple lipstick is what lacks this world. ;-)

  • Lexi says:

I second the sample pack with five mini lipsticks.

I want bright colors! Highly saturated neons! Purples that aren’t so red as the other companies make them!

Honestly, I think if I had such bright lipsticks, I’d wear them for the rest of my life, lol.

  • Apnea says:

“Darker shades, like blackened red & navy blue (26%, 159 Votes)”
We goths also want something ;)

    Rickey Reply:

I had to vote crazy colors, but when I saw that they were checkboxes instead of bubbles I tried to vote dark colors, too. I’m definitely getting into the whole black lipstick thing, and a super dark blue sounds really neat. I wonder what white would look like? Wasn’t that big in the sixties?

  • Narcissique says:

I have discovered your blog recently, it is so cute!! I have voted the red colours, I love red lipstick!

  • Dana says:

No to glitter lipstick! Unless it doesn’t leave chunks of glitter lagging about.

I’d definitely love to see something like sephora’s metrochic transformed into a lipcolor though. I mean, crazy colors don’t necessarily have to equal primary colors. They could be greyish browns or dark purples or something.

    Euphoria Reply:

I second the no glitter lipstick vote. They always leave glitter in your hair and all over your face. Plus they never apply evenly…. maybe I’d consider it if it applied nicely and the glitter STAYED ON YOUR LIPS.

    Rickey Reply:

Ditto on the glitter thing- if you want glitter in your lipstick, put on lipstick and pat on some glitter! Coastal Scents has some great deals– $4 an ounce and $1 for a teaspoon sample- the oz is a better deal but the teaspoon is bigger than you think!

    Shayne Reply:

I agree! Every glitter lipstick I have ever worn dried out my lips and the glitter got everywhere.

Just do what Dita does. She wears red lipstick and puts loose glitter on top. I met her at a goth club ages ago and I asked her what lipstick she was wearing and this is what she told me.

  • Euphoria says:

I’d REALLY like to see a grey and a beautiful, creamy taupe… maybe even a puce. Hard to find those old looking colors with a Victorian feel.

  • Rickey says:

Def more crazy colors– would LOVE to see a lime green or chartreuse like I said yesterday! Also, if you felt like doing a metallic pink (like a countessa fluorescent, sort of, only intensely metallic) (or metallic versions of any of your colors), that would be completely effing amazing.

  • Izzy says:

I’d love to see lime green or white. Definitely keep the crazy colors coming! You can go into any department store and find millions of normal shades.

I also love the idea of colored mascara, all the ones I have are so subtle. I would also LOVE for you to make false eyelashes! Peacock feathers and tropical bird inspired lashes, etc.

  • Luxferra says:

Definitely a dark, bloody red. Every time I look for one the color is way too brown for my tastes. :(

  • kiesha'ra says:

I think an opaque goldeny-yellow lipstick would be absolutely fantastic.

Also, I love the idea some ladies had about iridescent and metallic shades, that would be too awesome.

  • KIKI says:

I would also love a really beautiful, soft pink, like the inside of a stawberry

    KIKI Reply:

i have another idea!!! It would be cool if you made nail polishes!!

  • Tanya says:

Yellow. A bright yellow. I can picture it now and its bold and beautiful.

  • Rickey says:

    haha! “unicarton”!

    Rickey Reply:

Where did your super-awesome banner go?

  • Sunny says:

How about mood lipsticks?! I recently found my mother’s old favorite mood changing lipstick from the 80′s, its BRIGHT orange but comes out in other colors, yours however, would really come out bright orange and others colors ;]. I know it may not be possible to have one go from blue to red and such but maybe some fun colors that change to similar colors.

And yes please to golds, a wearable but vibrant purple, and some metallics! Something along the lines of the Kryolan gold colors!

  • Kristen says:

I want to say that I want more wearable colours, but I feel like if you take some of the bright colours, and wear them in such a way that they are more ‘wearable’, then you’re even better off!

  • Melissa says:

I would love to see a coral with gold in it. There are so many mediocre coral lipsticks out there, it would be so nice to have one that is actually pigmented and in a pretty package. They also never have gold in them even though the combo is really pretty.
I just discovered the color this year after snubbing it, and realized how fantastic it looks on my fair skinned blonde haired complexion.

  • Sara says:

I would love to see some rare/unique colors like lime green, white, light gray, or silver. All of these have already been mentioned, but I thought I’d second them.

  • Lyndsey says:

I personally would LOVE to see a peachy pink with gold sheen/shimmer.

Orrrr a buttery yellow, pastel even?
And seafoam green, definitely seafoam. :]<3

    Lyndsey Reply:

Im kicking myself for not mentioning this in the first one, but when I scrolled up I noticed the adds on the page and the color of the scarf in the ModCloth Ad would be lovely :]

Not too bright, not too dark. A little sage-esque, a little lime. You cant go wrong :]

  • Rebecca says:

Ooh, all this talk of expansion is getting me excited! I’d like to see some dark colors, but I agree with what a lot of people before me have commented – keep the super unique shades coming! That’s what makes Lime Crime so special.

  • Ali says:

I have to agree with almost all the comments here. It would be Awesome to see a nude, some reds, some darker colours and some crazy ones! (esp. a yellow!) I also love the idea of white, as a color to mix!
I voted for nudes, because, I generally focus on Lips or eyes (I’ve never done really strong eyes and lips at the same time), And would love a fabulous nude for the times I go for a really bright eye. But now with my Oh no She didn’t coming soon, I might just have to revise that!

  • Mononoke says:

Cobalt blue. Navy blue. White. Gold. Silver. Copper. Taxi yellow. Forest green. Lime green. Dark blood red. Dark indigo. Dark violet. Any color with a contrasting metallic iridescence. Dark colors with bright iridescence x over9000 [ex. Dark indigo with sky blue iridescence, dark violet with red iridescence, black with any sort of iridescence.] Neon anything/everything.

    Yes.

    Mononoke Reply:

    Forgot: seafoam.

So yeah, a lot of these are previously mentioned, some of them I dreamed of last night, but the point is, I agree with all of the aforementioned items.

    Let the lipstick roll.

  • Anna says:

    Yellow would be really cool))

  • Nix says:

I love the shades you have now, but I’d like to see some more everyday friendly shades – although the opacity has got to stay! I hate sheer lipstick. I was especially fond of the idea of a truly opaque nude that someone mentioned above? =).

Oh! Also, more neon-tinted shades would be a-mazing =).

  • kagitsune says:

I voted more wearable… I’d love to see some nice plums and peaches with that same one-stroke opacity your current shades have. :3

BTW, I love that you ask your customers/readers for advice every step of the way. You are awesome. :D

  • jfiend says:

Wow Doe, look at the HUGE response! How good it must feel to have so many people involved with your awesome work. Teal & yellow lipsticks would be INCREDIBLE! A more greeny teal though

  • Rebecca says:

I want to kick myself for voting for more wearable colors… but I’m afraid to wear anything that’s really crazy! What I love about your line right now is the neon kick that your colors have, which make them really unique. If you could throw some more wearable shades in with a real opaque, neon punch, I would totally get them. I’m thinking a deeper purple, an uber-bright peach, and maybe a couple of crazy colors like green or teal. :D

    Roxie Reply:

TOTALLY AGREE :]. Absolutely <3 the crazy colors, but in moderation. I mean come on! The boys are going to crazy if we give it to them all at once ;).

Love the idea of silver or green crazay lippie, but i know i want to rock my lime crime everyday and here in SC aka bible belt im going to have to wean them to my craziness by zingy lippies with a punch.

Perhaps a totally awesome nude with a neon twist to it?
Sounds impossible…but Doe makes the impossible POSSIBLE :D

    Nefabit Reply:

Bright peach would be amazing! :D

  • Noelle says:

I would love to see a bright canary yellow, lime green, forest green, teal, plum.. generaly bright and fun.

  • Ruth says:

I would love to see some wearble but pale shades

  • DeathButterfly says:

I’d also like to see bright or “strange” colours. Do lipstick colours that you can’t buy just anywhere. I’d be interested in a yellow shade, a bright grassy green, an orangy brick red, maybe a silver or grey.

  • Lena says:

    God, I love everyones ideas!!

Gold, please. And a nude that flatters everyone.

These days I’ve been dreaming of a gorgous pink lipstick, but it may just be your Great Pink Planet. I love doing my cheeks in that color, and I want my lips to be that color, too.
