Introducing: Indie Gems!

AD SPACES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

As someone who has built a brand from the ground up, I know that sometimes creating a great product is not enough. People need to know about it before it starts to sell like hotcakes, and it takes well-placed advertisement to push it over the edge. All through 2010 Doe Deere Blogazine was committed to helping small businesses just like yours gain exposure and build followings. Unfortunately, advertising can be expensive and often inaccessible to those who need it the most. Well, this isn’t the case any more!

It is with an indie business owner in mind that I’ve re-hauled advertising space on my blog to allow small businesses come on board — for a price that everyone can afford!

Why do it?

DoeDeereBlogazine.com gets 267,000 hits per month, with a 97% female audience. My readers love to shop indie and discover new things that allow them to express themselves & enhance their world. They are a smart, individualistic bunch. They don’t care about the latest sale at Macy’s, but their hearts start to beat a little faster when they discover a cool new Etsy seller. In short — and I know this first-hand — give them something unique and they will support it wholeheartedly!!!

Option #1: INDIE GEMS ~ most affordable & fun!

125 x 125 px button | $2/day

Perfect for start-up businesses, freelancers, makeup artists, bloggers, jewelry-makers, and everyone who wants to spread the word about their awesomeness! Claim your spot today for only $2 a day — yes, you heard that right! – for as many days as you’d like. Your ad will appear on the sidebar under INDIE GEMS.  Go here to get started!

Option #2: CUSTOM DURATION BANNER ~ most flexible

300 x 250 px banner | $5/day

Going away on vacation before the end of the month? Want to try it for a couple of weeks? Not a problem! Display your large banner for any number of days for only $5/day. Your ad will appear on the sidebar under SPONSORS. Go here to get started!

Option #3: MONTHLY BANNER best deal

300 x 250 px banner

Ideal for indie shops, the most bang for your buck! Have a sustained presence and get your message consistently into the minds of potential customers through a large banner. Your ad will appear on the sidebar under FEATURED PARTNERS. Email me at doedeere@gmail.com to get started!

1 month – $120
2 months – $220
3 months – $320

You’ve worked hard. You’ve created something you’re proud of. Don’t let it go unnoticed!

“I started advertising on Doe Deere Blogazine about half a year ago, because I figured that people who love colorful make-up, must surely love colorful jewelry & accessories too. Since then, my traffic has increased enormously. I advertise on various blogs, but the ad on Doe Deere Blogazine is the one that brings me most traffic. In fact, Google Analytics tells me it’s my number 3 traffic source, with only direct traffic & google searches bringing in more! Money well spent, I’d say!”

Maartje, Owner of Tizzalicious.com

“I’ve tried advertising on several blogs in the past, but wasn’t really having a lot of luck getting customers to my shop. When I found Doe Deere Blogazine, I figured the readers would really relate to Octopus Parlour’s aesthetic and I was right! Advertising with Doe’s blog has consistently brought more page views to my online store than any other site I’ve worked with. I highly recommend advertising here if you’re looking to stand out from the crowd and attract more customers!”

Lauren, Founder of Octopus Parlour

Got a question? I’d be happy to answer in comments!

NOT a business owner but know someone who could use some exposure? Be a good friend, forward this to them! :)

This is a bit off-topic, but I have the same owl ring! my friend and makeup artist David gave it to me and I painted it bronze because silver’s not really my thing. Hehe!

    Doe Deere Reply:

What a cute idea! I love animal rings and have several: a bunny, 2 owls, a turtle, a ladybug…

  • I don’t have a business but well done for supporting small business owners! :-) I like the updated blog look as well :-)

Thank you, once I get some spare cash I will try and get myself an ad spot :)
I would really love to get more attention to my Etsy shop. Crafting is something I have enjoyed since i was a child and it would be a dream if I could actually make a living from doing something I really enjoy xoxo

This is awesome! Once I can get a button/banner made I will have to do this! (I have no clue how to make them!) lol.

I would be more than happy to help out with a banner/button. And when I say help, I do mean free. ;)

I’d love to advertise with you! You’re one of my biggest inspirations! <3 I'd like to be able to offer more before I start advertising I think. Definitely in the future!! :D

No worries, the program will be around if it’s a success! xo

    I’m too young to have a business, but just HAD to say this;
I went on ths site as I usually do, and took a huge gasp when I saw the site! It’s absolutley awesome!!

Also, I was thinking, it would be cool if you experimented with releasing some male makeup.. like, coloured guy-liner or something. I thought about this while thinking about how cool mark is, with his ‘out of the ordinary’ colour choices, and your awesome makeup (and guy liner). :D In my opinion I think it could become a hit within groups of young leftfield males. :D

    Colleen W. Reply:

:o I’m all for guys wearing makeup, but I don’t see why they can’t just use the makeup girls use. The only difference I could think of is packaging/style (kind of how girl’s shower gel is just expensive men’s shaving gel but it smells better and is in girly packaging).

    Kaiya Reply:

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. It would probably be less off putting for them if it was less pink? All I meant was, atm Lime Crime seems very focused at women and girls, and if this were to happen it would probably have to be called “mens”, you know?

    Doe Deere Reply:

Hey Kaiya! I believe that color is unisex (boys can and do like pink & unicorns!), and so is makeup. If you’re a boy who likes to wear makeup, don’t let anything stop you!!! ;)

    Kaiya Reply:

I’m not a boy, just thought it would be interesting to see more boys wearing your awesome colours :D

I need to get my web address upp and running I’ve been working on it forever just need to get the rest of the photo content up. I have an etsy but don’t have a huge amount posted atm. Can’t wait to advertise with you though!

    Doe Deere Reply:

    Candy Reply:

You can check out my etsy if you like. Not much on there right now because I’m trying not to post too much new before my site launch ^.^

  • Thanks for doing this, Deerie : ) … I’ve sold handmade jewelry off and on for the past few years. But I decided that I’m going to really try to put some effort into it and perhaps make a small business out of it. After I work on some new pieces, I reckon I’ll make a cute banner and advertise on here. Thanks again : )

    Doe Deere Reply:

I can’t wait to see your jewelry and your banner, Jolene!

  • Sarah says:

This is completely unrelated to this post, but I absolutely adore your new webpage banner! You are so insanely stunning miss Doe Deere.

    Doe Deere Reply:

Thanks so much Sarah. :) It’s from a photoshoot coming up this week!

  • Gothbarbie says:

OOOOH FABULOUS!!! I’ll have to do this for my etsy shop- first of course I need to fill up the shop a little more…

  • AMY! says:

    1. awesome new banner yourself!!!!!!!!! show off those hot legs more often!!!!!

    2. I have the sneaking suspicion that youre new product will be some form of clothing once more, since it was your first dream

    3. sooooooo glad you are going back to the princess look! you totally got me hooked on it and i adore you most in it! also, i wish you’d do more fun outlandish makeup styles!

    4. and not to say that you regreat cutting off your hair, but i knew you’d miss it!!! there are just so many more possibilities with longer hair, especially for someone who dresses up constantly! *hint* i take prenatal vitamins and drink red tea to make mine grow… also horse shampoo and conditioner, even though i’m skeptical of it even working lol but i will tell you this, after having bleached my hair and dying it red so many times… the ends are always horrible forcing me to constantly trim it and preventing it from being as long as i wish… if you already have the answer for that dilemma i’d greatly appreciate it!

  • Pippy says:

I know this is marginally off topic but I am the biggest fanatic of pandas (even stooping to naming my boyfriend Panda and refering to everyone as ” panda” (a.k.a Sad Panda/ Excited Panda) And have gone so far as to obtain other animal dressed up as pandas… odd fetishes aside….

I must ask where on earth you got that beautiful kitch blouse and how can I get my hands on one!

In addition and more on topis! I have recommended a specific one of my friends to come and check this out.

She started a small textile buisness a while ago and is trying to get it off the ground! This could be amazing for her as she is still a student and the cost is amazing all things considering!

    Thanks Doe! ^_^
