Dog Talent Search: Does your doggy have style?
.

Lime Crime is on the search for the next It Dog - and we need your help! We are looking for a medium to large-sized white dog to star in an upcoming photoshoot with Raquel Reed for our electric lipstick color, No She Didn’t.

No diva doggies, please! Your pooch must be well-behaved, not afraid of meeting strangers or being around large crowds, and must be calm and obedient on set. You must be able to bring your little star to NYC for the shoot on September 20th where you’ll have an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a Lime Crime photoshoot with photographer-extraordinaire Steve Prue. To thank you, you’ll receive a gift bag filled with Lime Crime goodies & glamorous photos of your canine. Your pup will also receive a doggy bag filled with yummy treats!
.
.
What: Lime Crime photoshoot with Raquel Reed
When: Sunday September 20th
Where: downtown NYC
- Any long-haired breed
- Medium to large
- White or close to all-white
- Well-behaved & not skittish around crowds (very important!)
So, is your pooch posh enough to model for Lime Crime? If you think yes, then post a link to your pet in comments and don’t forget to include your email so we can get in touch.

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1373401&l=067435be40&id=796055004 Flocon would have fit perfectly…
But I live in Montreal ^.^
Anyway, I have a suggestion since I cant participate. You could go to your local shelter and ask them to “borrow” a dog for a photoshoot. I know, where I volunteer we do allow those in exchange of a text explaining who is the dog and where to adopt him. It works wonder for the dogs that are harder to find a good family for.

My dog would love to do that haha. Shame we live in England, she’s small and has some black in her. I’ve always said in a previous life she was a model though.

I admit, I love Catherine’s ideas. Also, the pup in the pic on the post makes my miss my black standard.

Oh, Catherine, your dog is bee-u-ti-ful!
I also think your idea is stellar!
In my opinion, my dog is the cutest dog alive, but he’s a very high strung pug, and he’s not white… =)

oh my gosh! My dog’s name is Muffy LOL!
I wish I could do this! But there’s three minor setbacks:
1. My dog is a tiny pomeranian.
2. She’s not white.
3. I don’t live anywhere NEAR NYC :(
Ah well. I’m looking forward to seeing the shoot. ^_^

How cute! I wish I had a dog that you could use. But if you ever need a super cute and sweet black & white rabbit for a shoot let me know.

So my dog is white, fluffy, and all of the above except he’s not very big. He’s a chubby and adorable Maltese and weighs 14 lbs (which trust me, is huge for a maltese) but probably not considered medium.
But i was thinking of coming to NYC soon anyway, so if you’re interested please let me know! (as you probably know, i live in Maryland)
His name is Cupcake and he’s a beauty prince!

Catherine has a good idea Doe. Most dogs in shelters are purebreds and most usually have some sort of training or someone from the shelter could help you out. Snacks will always make a good dog!
I live near Chicago so no Zena for you! Well, actually, she’s staring at me saying, “Tell the woman to come to the northern burbs of Chicago and shoot!” Zena has tuxedo markings so she’s not white. Zena insists on my posting a photograph of her. If you’re ever in Northern IL and need an aristocratic looking dog, shoot me an e-mail!

P.S. She does have tuxedo markings, I assure you. I just don’t have a good picture on my computer of them!
P.S.S. Zena insists I tell you she says hihi!

Catherine, your dog is gorgeous! What breed is he? And Sammy Doll, Cupcake is too cute!
I really wish I had a dog now. Preferably a white, medium-size, long haired one… ;)

Oh dear, oh dear… you’d really be in trouble with my dog! She is a 9 year old Norwich terrier that has more energy than any pup and runs around like mad. It looks a bit funny though, as her senses are deteriorating and she goes crashing into everything. In addition she had flea’s and my mum cut off all her fur with kitchen scissors, so she resembles at rat more than a dog. Not exactly what you need for your photoshoot, but at least she’s no diva!

Good luck!

Try a Japanese Spitz, German Spitz, American Eskimo Dog, or Samoyed.
I also agree with Catherine. Devote a day to playing with the puppies at the pound!
I’d offer my white, fluffy puppy, but I live in Michigan, and he is a VERY high strung, neurotic dog!

And Buddy’s too small.
Sorry, sweetheart. If they could be your models, then I’d let you use them.

Catherine–you’re welcome. It’s a good idea as it seems every dog owner here lives outside NYC!!! Flocan est très mignon! And that’s enough French for the day for me.
I half-expected his eyes to be blue like most white Eskimos but I love his cute little brown eyes! Montréal isn’t horribly far from NY…unlike, say, the suburbs of Chicago like me! Zena is a horrible traveler. She whines and paces like no one else! She’s just too overstimulated in a car with all the smells and sights!

Kate & Zena :
The brown eyes make him look so innocent and charming ^.^ The distance isnt the real problem with Montreal, its the border :S There’s a lot of restrictions when traveling with pets. lollz and Flocon tends to act weirdly in a car too ^.^

Catherine:
Ah, I see. I’ve never traveled between countries with pets so I wouldn’t know. I know if you go to England and bring your pet with you, the pet (dog/cat) gets confined in decontamination for 6 weeks to make sure the pet doesn’t have rabies as they’ve completely eradicated the disease there.
Thank you. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like her! She’s such a people charmer. I think it’s the big ears.
