I wish I lived in NYC as I would of let you use my boxer dog Bilbo baggins!! Good luck with the search!

  • Catherine says:

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1373401&l=067435be40&id=796055004 Flocon would have fit perfectly…

But I live in Montreal ^.^

Anyway, I have a suggestion since I cant participate. You could go to your local shelter and ask them to “borrow” a dog for a photoshoot. I know, where I volunteer we do allow those in exchange of a text explaining who is the dog and where to adopt him. It works wonder for the dogs that are harder to find a good family for.

  • Kendall says:

Awww, if only it didn’t have to be a white dog. : (

  • Melinda says:

My dogs are well behaved, love cameras, but are neither white nor fluffy…well one is black and white, and the other is a corgi >.>

Good luck in finding the dog! ^_^ may i suggest my illtempered cat? she’s all grey and absolutely beautiful :-p

  • Neek says:

Can’t wait to see the outcome of this shoot good luck in your search Doe ^_^

  • My dog is going to be in a swedish movie next summer, you can find pic´s on him in my blog ;D

  • Kelly says:

My dog would love to do that haha. Shame we live in England, she’s small and has some black in her. I’ve always said in a previous life she was a model though.

  • Alison says:

This just makes me want a cute fluffy dog even more than I already do. :)

I really like Catherine’s idea. Good luck in your search!

  • Willow says:

I admit, I love Catherine’s ideas. Also, the pup in the pic on the post makes my miss my black standard.

  • Leslie says:

i wish i lived in NYC because i would have the perfect pup for you! His name is Maximus Bartholomew Brownlee aka Max and he is an American Bull Dog/Pitbull Mix and he is gorgeous! I believe he used to or may still have an agent. either way he’s a star*

  • BrassBird says:

Oh, Catherine, your dog is bee-u-ti-ful!
I also think your idea is stellar!
In my opinion, my dog is the cutest dog alive, but he’s a very high strung pug, and he’s not white… =)

  • Tamara says:

What a GREAT idea! Sadly I’m not from NYC :(

  • Andreea says:

oh my gosh! My dog’s name is Muffy LOL!
I wish I could do this! But there’s three minor setbacks:
    1. My dog is a tiny pomeranian.
    2. She’s not white.
    3. I don’t live anywhere NEAR NYC :(

Ah well. I’m looking forward to seeing the shoot. ^_^

  • Shayne says:

How cute! I wish I had a dog that you could use. But if you ever need a super cute and sweet black & white rabbit for a shoot let me know.

  • Sammy Doll says:

So my dog is white, fluffy, and all of the above except he’s not very big. He’s a chubby and adorable Maltese and weighs 14 lbs (which trust me, is huge for a maltese) but probably not considered medium.

But i was thinking of coming to NYC soon anyway, so if you’re interested please let me know! (as you probably know, i live in Maryland)

His name is Cupcake and he’s a beauty prince!

  • Kaylin says:

My dog is way too tiny for you. She’s about 7 pounds.

  • Liz P says:

My dog is a beagle >_<… But he loves people! haha

  • Smurfzilla says:

lol.. if boo was still alive id be up there in a heartbeat. he was an american eskimo corgi mix.. knew a bazillion tricks and would do anything for food.
all i have now though are lots of cats and lizards. lol.. lemme know if you need a bearded dragon for anything.

  • Rosie says:

I wish, but my dog is black, high strung, and in Canada.

  • Pinksky86 (Jackie) says:

Aww….what a cute idea…I can’t wait to see the end results. I have an Australian Shepard named Fred, but he isn’t all white, plus we live in California. I hope you find what you’re looking for!!! =)

  • Tiffany says:

    How cute!

My dog is the right size, nearby in CT, but unfortunately is a crazy puppy and is white with grey and black spots. Lol.

  • Kate & Zena says:

Catherine has a good idea Doe. Most dogs in shelters are purebreds and most usually have some sort of training or someone from the shelter could help you out. Snacks will always make a good dog!

I live near Chicago so no Zena for you! Well, actually, she’s staring at me saying, “Tell the woman to come to the northern burbs of Chicago and shoot!” Zena has tuxedo markings so she’s not white. Zena insists on my posting a photograph of her. If you’re ever in Northern IL and need an aristocratic looking dog, shoot me an e-mail!

P.S. She does have tuxedo markings, I assure you. I just don’t have a good picture on my computer of them!

P.S.S. Zena insists I tell you she says hihi!

  • Rebecca says:

Catherine, your dog is gorgeous! What breed is he? And Sammy Doll, Cupcake is too cute!
    I really wish I had a dog now. Preferably a white, medium-size, long haired one… ;)

  • Jasmin says:

Oh dear, oh dear… you’d really be in trouble with my dog! She is a 9 year old Norwich terrier that has more energy than any pup and runs around like mad. It looks a bit funny though, as her senses are deteriorating and she goes crashing into everything. In addition she had flea’s and my mum cut off all her fur with kitchen scissors, so she resembles at rat more than a dog. Not exactly what you need for your photoshoot, but at least she’s no diva!

  • Jasmin says:

Good luck in your search, btw!

  • andrea says:

Kate- oh my goodness, is your Zena a basenji?

  • Kate & Zena says:

andrea- Nope, she’s a Decker Rat Terrier. I’m asked a lot if she is though!

  • ChantalPoppy says:

    whoops! Bad link…here he is:

    andd

    xx

  • Ephie says:

Fun thing, I call my bestfriend Muffy, Though she’s blonde, she is unfortunately a human. But well-behaved and social!
    Good luck!

  • Annie Belle says:

Try a Japanese Spitz, German Spitz, American Eskimo Dog, or Samoyed.

I also agree with Catherine. Devote a day to playing with the puppies at the pound!

I’d offer my white, fluffy puppy, but I live in Michigan, and he is a VERY high strung, neurotic dog!

  • Samantha says:

Man, I wish my little Lily wasn’t short furred- she’s so gorgeous!

    And Buddy’s too small.

Sorry, sweetheart. If they could be your models, then I’d let you use them.

  • Nicole Vance says:

When you look at the website look at “Tori” She is a White (Cream) Golden Retriever..

  • Catherine says:

oh my.. I never tought people would answer my comment like this ^.^ ”’ Sorry for the lateness of my answer :

Thanks Alison, Willow, BrassBird, Kate & Zena, Rebecca (he’s an American Eskimo)and Annie Belle

  • Kate & Zena says:

Catherine–you’re welcome. It’s a good idea as it seems every dog owner here lives outside NYC!!! Flocan est très mignon! And that’s enough French for the day for me.

I half-expected his eyes to be blue like most white Eskimos but I love his cute little brown eyes! Montréal isn’t horribly far from NY…unlike, say, the suburbs of Chicago like me! Zena is a horrible traveler. She whines and paces like no one else! She’s just too overstimulated in a car with all the smells and sights!

  • Catherine says:

    Kate & Zena :
The brown eyes make him look so innocent and charming ^.^ The distance isnt the real problem with Montreal, its the border :S There’s a lot of restrictions when traveling with pets. lollz and Flocon tends to act weirdly in a car too ^.^

  • Catherine says:

oh and Zena is a cutie ^.^ !!!

  • Kate & Zena says:

    Catherine:
Ah, I see. I’ve never traveled between countries with pets so I wouldn’t know. I know if you go to England and bring your pet with you, the pet (dog/cat) gets confined in decontamination for 6 weeks to make sure the pet doesn’t have rabies as they’ve completely eradicated the disease there.

Thank you. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like her! She’s such a people charmer. I think it’s the big ears.

  • Barrett says:

I’m reluctant that the Pit bull needs a particular sort of owner…these dogs, regardless of how ‘supportive’ nevertheless have teeth, are still creatures not having moral principles and when they DO bite, won’t let go. As in all animals…some have a tendency to be more suseptable to instinctual habits and time and time once again, this breed tends to do just that.
