Las Vegas Day 2 – Daily Outfit
Category: Style Diary

I’m wearing:
- Armani Exchange sweater
- Vintage belt
- Vintage hat (gift from Mark’s mom)
- Vintage circle skirt
- Kenneth Cole boots

Mark is still on his 80s glam kick in his plaid jacket (sleeves rolled up, of course), lurex scarf & and a pair of vintage acid-washed jeans tapered so narrow on the bottom, he can barely stick his feet through the holes, haha. When he saw this ridiculous cowboy hat for sale, he knew it was fate. Now we have a souvenir to take home. :)
Both of us enjoy dressing up very much. Wherever we go, we try to make it a more special event by dressing the part. But much like in NY, few people in Las Vegas dress up; the tourists much prefer the comfortable ‘vacation’ clothes, which usually consist of shorts, baseball caps and t-shirts. Time and again I was convinced that dressing up actually pays off – all morning, everyone was super-nice to us & saying hello, and then we were given free tickets to see the Variety show + free lunch as part of some promotion. Rad. :D

You both look amazing. I’d be worried about that skirt though… I may have to steal it!

You look really cosy! Actually, to me you look vaguely Scottish in this outfit and that hat (which is beautiful by the way: why can’t I find good vintage?!).
PS: Mark’s hat should win the 80s contest…just BECAUSE.

You look so charmingly posh. I wish everyone who came to Vegas would take the effort to beautify our Vegas Strip with your sense of style. For my own selfish reasons, I hope Sin City visitors follow your lead. Simply gorgeous!

People don’t dress up in New York? I am thoroughly disappointed. I hate looking casual, or normal… even my ‘dressed down’ outfits, where I feel super-scruffy are pretty smart by most people’s standards.
You two look amazing, I love your skirt! xx

Oh dear, I’m horribly jealous of your hat– I’ve been looking for one like that for ages and ages!
Ms. Xenia, you’re a fox, and you and Mark are a power couple for the ages.

Gotta say it, even though it’s been repeatedly stated: LOVE the hat. Amazing ensemble. I like the touch of caramel your bag offers. Cute!

You look stunning. I love how you make Vegas a little classier. I usually let me slutty side come out a little when I go there.. I am ashamed. ;)
By the way I love love your hair color.

I LOVE this entire outfit. Also: want want want that hat! You’ve such an original yet “put together” style (and enviously tiny waist!) – fabulous darling!

It really is true… people do treat you better if you act and dress confidently or even “rich”. You’ve got to love dressing *awesome* on the cheap with vintage and hand/home-made wear! :D
