The last day in Vegas was spent exploring the hotels on The Strip (there are about a dozen). I feel that The Venetian deserves a special mention because it was truly the hotel of my dreams. Next time we’re in Vegas, I’m staying there! As the name suggests, it’s a Rococo-styled hotel of unspeakable beauty, in and out. I was in such awe, that I didn’t take a single picture! (I’m not the best at interior photography anyway, so you’reĀ not missing much.) Good thing other people captured it.

All of the inside looks like this. It’s literally a palace, adorned in gold & frescos everywhere. Even the elevators are too gorgeous for words, and I think I want to live their public bathroom, haha. I’m very glad I saved my vintage dress for last. Although it doesn’t exactly scream Venice, the pleats and the ruffles helped me connect and experience the Venetian better.

Outside, they have these adorable stripey boats.

- Dress: vintage
- Crown necklace: Maylily
- Boots: Kenneth Cole
- Tights: Ellen Tracy
- Overcoat: my mom’s

Grenouille’s sailor outfit was pretty stylin’, too.

What an exquisitly beautiful hotel! I’d love to stay there to haha. The outfit was very nice, I like the vintage dress on you =)
I’d love to dress up like you do everyday, but I can never find anything that I can truley say is outstanding on me. If I did, I’d probably have a blog just like your one! hehe. As for my make-up, I can never seem to photograph it well enough =p I hope your holiday was fantastic hun x
It looks magnificent!
Wow, that hotel looks incredible!
The two of you should have totally gotten a picture together!!
To me it looks a little bit disgusting but it’s SO fake that’s it’s cool in a decadent – ‘antiheroic’ way… it’s so factice it looks just like western movie’s decor… and I kinda love it.
And of course, you’re stunning.
Yeah! you should take a picture together! you’re both looking very good, and I love that dress, especially the sleeves, really beautiful!! Have a nice time and enjoyyyy!!! greetings!
I love that dress as well what era is it from? 60′s or 70′s? together you guys must have looked like quite the couple walking through the hotel

I’m glad you enjoyed the Venetian :) I was quite spellbound by it as well. I also loved the fact that they had a David & Goliath shop there, haha….oh, and the singing gondoliers, too. :)
Mark definitely looks the part with his outfit!
xx
YAY! I am so glad you guys got the chance to make it over there! I thought you’d love it. Did you get a chance to check out Bouchoun?
So pretty! Has is warmed up there at all? Brooklyn is, I’m sorry to say, a little damp and cold today. :-(
I really love how you two dressed up. So good.
Oh that hotel is so pretty. If you sign up for their players club, they email you all sorts of awesome deals on rooms. But not spam. It’s really cool.
Oh goodness, that is my favorite hotel on the strip!! It has been since my very first visit there. (Caesar’s Palace is my 2nd favorite)
Your dress is oh so gorgeous, I just love how it looks with a simpler make up look and lovely pink lips. Stunning as usual.
I love, love the ventian!
You look incredible! That dress is gorgeous!
Marks coat is amazing.
And the hotel is gorgeous – you’d fit right in!
Now I want to visit Las Vegas too, haha. The hotel looks fantastic!
We stayed at the Mirage when we went to Vegas, but exploring all the hotels was so much fun. The Venetian has great restaurants too!
You both look so pissed in those photos.
Awesome pic of Mark – love the blue stripes on his shirt and the red stripes on the poles behind him! And what is that fabulous pendant he is wearing?
PS: that is an adorable dress. Want!!
Was Marc always so stylish or has your love of fashion expanded his style? I remeber thinking about 5 years ago he look very Trent Reznor goth hot. Now it looks like he is evolving a style all his own.
I echo most of the comments here and wish that there was a pic of both of you together. I love Vegas, but being from Ireland, the flights are beyond my budget at the moment. I love your posts, they are the sunshine of my mornings.
I stayed at the Venetian the one time I’ve been to Vegas. Unfortunately I was there working, so it wasn’t the most pleasant, but I think we left the hotel maybe once because everything we could have possibly needed/wanted was there.
I’m glad you enjoyed the Venetian, it’s one of my favorite hotels. I have a special connection, my mom used to work there.
The gondola rides are really fun, I’ve heard they even do weddings.
It’s definitely a very Doe-Deere -esque hotel. ^.^
