We do those too, just not this time. Soon though!
Yay! I’m going to pick up another Dragon Scales (my 3rd one!). It’s my favorite eyeshadow color and I always get tons of compliments on it!
Everytime I try to add something in my bag, it shows that my shopping cart is empty. Why is that happening just now? :(
Hey.
Every time i try to add something to my cart it shows that LC is under maintenance. Whats going on?!

i enter this blog entirely for fun – the comments are fantastic and doe knows her stuff. but doe, :( your clients lola and nalia are first AND you have technical difficulties. they should be entitiled to a gift package of sorts. i’m just saying.
=x is everthing ok doe?
I love the tutorials! Especially the 2nd one, very dramatic. I think the use of fable to explain the process is very creative and fun, but I found it to be confusing in areas (such as the eyeliner directions) due to the lack of implicit detail. Looking forward to spending up big in the sale x
loving the tutorials :) – especially the hot pink + black one – very unusual ;D
While I do like the tutorial look, I find it very disappointing that Miss Reckless decides to skip the powder just to have her skin very obviously photoshopped into a poreless mask. Images like these gave me issues as a teenager for they made me think skin like that was natural. I do understand that a beauty shot is intended to look perfect but it really did send out the wrong message to me. I don’t mean to be rude, just wanted to get that off my chest.
Still, I do think the black eyeshadow was very skillfully applied :3

glittermuffin has a good point, although there is something about that comment that disturbs me. teenagers, like the one in the promo add above, have many issues aside from “poreless mask” skin. commonly one can argue photoshopping is a betrayal of the real beauty under the makeup. after saying that, beauty advertising actually promotes teenagers to look well and feel well about themselves. i’ve see n photos of xenia both with makeup and without, they look great but are very different. perfect is the wrong word. i don;t know the right one – = maybe someone can answer.

Don’t get me wrong – I totally do not mind photoshopping in beauty ads, as long as it doesn’t falsify the claims made. And yes, I’ve always had terrible skin and nothing would help, so the idea that perfect skin naturally looks like the first photo (or the many ads in magazines) really did bother me. It seemed like an ideal that was just unreachable and I felt bad and worthless. It really depends on how confident you are about your looks but not every teenager knows what photoshop and makeup can do and a lot of them have body issues already. Maybe I’m too touchy here and I definitely do not mean to shift any blame on Doe or whatever. I just wanted to note that it would have been nice not to claim the one thing and do the other.

Hi Glittermuffin,
I’m sorry to hear that overly-retouched images gave you low self-esteem as a teen. :( I hope you’re doing better now.
I’m not happy with the way the first image was retouched either; very heavy-handed… Sam has a beautiful skin and I like it much better in the other two pictures.
I love the Miss Reckless look, it’s different and I love the second part with the pink scattered across the eye! :)

This is an eyeshadow + primer sale, so the code only works for eye products — so if you added lipsticks, it won’t affect the total.
Hi! What happened with the launch of Lime Crime color gel liners in the spring?

Still working on them. Scheduled for Spring 2012 release. :)
I like it.
I love the new tutorial! I’m new to your blog but not to Lime Crime, already a happy owner of 2 lipsticks and the primer, I have just taken advantage of the awesome sale and purchased a load of eyeshadows, thank you sooo much!
love the makeup in the ad!
I can’t believe this deal Doe! Thanks you so much for giving 55% off some lime crime stuff, and congrats on reaching 55’000 FB Fans!
I typed in ICANTDRIVE55 and nothing happened?
So excited- this sale practically FORCED me to give in and finally pick up a few Lime Crime goodies. I grabbed the primer, a Medusa eyeshadow, and the Coquette lipstick. Can’t wait to do the smokey-eye-nude-lip look, Lime Crime style. :D
Just crossing my fingers now that my order comes in before Halloween- that is exactly what I need to complete my ensemble.
why does it work for others?? Am I doing something wrong?

Kelly,
Code only works for eyeshadows & primer. It won’t be reflected if you added only lipsticks to the cart.

Oh wow, it says it right there. I guess I got too excited to read the large small print. Thanks for letting me know!
Too bad you don’t still have the suuuuper sparkly eyeshadows…I should have stocked up back when I had the chance :(
Any chance they’ll be back?
The eye shadow was already on sale and it was taken off sale in order to have this sale. What is the point of this special code sale?
seriously? no one points out that this is seriously just a HUGE rip off of taylor momsen’s look? the model even looks identical to her. eh, whatever.

I knew it was associated with Taylor Momsen the second I read “Miss Reckless”. Although I wouldn’t say it’s a rip off, but more of an inspired look.
Is this Taylor Momsen? *O*
