Lime Crime Affiliate Program, yay!

Category Blogging

What’s an Affiliate Program? It’s an awesome new way to spread glee while making some cash! You can post a banner on your blog, website, Facebook or LiveJournal and watch the money roll in.

How do I sign up? Signing up takes less than a minute – just have a PayPal account on the ready so you can get paid. Once approved, you’ll be given a code with a banner to stick on your site. The program will automatically track all sales that happen through your link (you make 10% of every sale). Go to limecrimemakeup.com and click on this banner on the left to sign up.

Tips & Tricks: Affiliate programs are most effective if you write about the product, what it does, why you like it & why your readers might like it too. If you’ve used Lime Crime or wrote about it before, your readers will be a lot more likely to click and make a purchase. You may also use your special affiliate link for hyper-linking to the Lime Crime site – it will automatically re-direct to limecrimemakeup.com while you earn your percentage. Let me know if you have any other questions!

This is not the only update for today. Stay tuned for a special Holiday announcement later! :)

This is so exciting!!! I have a makeup blog! It is very new though, but once I have a few more followers I will definitely be adding this to it!!!

Once again you amaze me with your ingenuity!

Hey, so many people have promoted me out of the goodness of their heart, this is the least I can do to give something back. :)

My blog is for my photography and other art/craft stuff, so it will go pretty well on my blog.

Sounds like a good fit :)

I have a myspace, Facebook and Livejournal can I use all 3? I don’t have tons of friends on either but if you put my facebook and myspace together I’m sure somebody will click the link and buy.

If we can do this in multiple places can we add more after we sign up because I’m probably going to make a myspace page to sell hair accessories and jewlery on and would post the link there.

    Doe Deere Reply:

Of course you can! You can use your banner code wherever you like :)

Cool! :D When I get my own site up and running soon I’ll definitely do it! :)

  • Heathre says:

I would love to do this, but I don’t have a paypal account because I don’t have a credit card/bank account.

    Doe Deere Reply:

Aw it’s too bad. Unfortunately, it’s the only way I can pay my affiliates right now.

Sorry I’m turning this into my own personal FAQ but I have a few more questions:

I don’t really understand what this is refering to or where i can find whatever it is in order to read it: “To be an authorized affiliate of Lime Crime Makeup, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions contained in this agreement.”
    ???

    Also I found this:
“Payout Requirements $50.00 USD – Minimum balance required for payout. ”

Does that mean that if my links don’t make you at least $50.00 I don’t get the percentage of money for that month? Or worse that if My percent doesn’t equal at least $50 I don’t get anything?

    Cate Reply:

Actually, you get 10% of every sale, so you need people to spend at least $500 through your links.

It’s funny you started this program, I was just thinking of adding limecrime’s logo to the sidebar of my storyblog days ago! I could not find a good picture to use though…and now I can get paid for it?!?! yay! I can’t wait to buy some limecrime and write a review on it…

  • Cate says:

I love you Xenia, but you should really mention clearly that unless these girls manage to get their visitors to buy at least $500 worth of products, they won’t get a dime.

    Doe Deere Reply:

Wait, why do you say that?

    Cate Reply:

Well unless I’m mistaken, I believe iDevAffiliate’s policy requires you to have a balance of at least $50 to get a payment.

    Doe Deere Reply:

Not if I can lower it to $10! You seem familiar with iDevAffilite, do you know how I can edit that part? Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention, ahh!

  • Cate says:

Oh I’m not really, I just snooped a bit around their website. Now that I’ve read some more, I’m pretty sure you can change it but i have no idea how.. They don’t seem to offer much support, and their ‘Knowledgebase’ isn’t very helpful either. Maybe try ‘submitting a Ticket’? I hope you can work it out!

    Cate Reply:

Oops – i obviously meant to reply to your comment -_-

    Doe Deere Reply:

Thanks so much, I just submitted a ticket to support. I’m sure it can be changed!

    Doe Deere Reply:

Ok, they just got back to me and I set it at $10. Whew, much better!
