When Nylon’s editor invited me to her office to chat about my lipstick line, my jaw was on the floor. It’s a publication I read religiously and the ONLY magazine I still subscribe to!!!
The whole experience was surreal. Nylon offices are as awesome as the magazine itself – from the neon sign in reception area to two sharpeis roaming around freely! Editor and I chatted for about an hour – with her jotting down notes – and covered, seemingly, every subject from crazy lipstick colors to importance of sticking to your guns to my favorite animals, unicorns. On the whole, I am pleased with the way it turned out – the only thing that got slightly misinterpreted was the part about ‘pigment-dulling fillers’. I just never put any in my products to begin with, so there was nothing to remove. Other than that, it’s a thumbs-up from me.
This issue will be available all throughout November so go pick it up! You can get Nylon in a bookstore like Borders.

Thanks sweetie, I really hope so too. But even if it doesn’t, I’m just glad to be in it.
i think that what Nylon was trying to say by “removing pigment-dulling fillers” is that you tried to make a lipstick without those fillers,as seen in other lipsticks, for exemple… i understand i can be interpreted otherwise though, but its no big deal imo ;)

Congrats! I really want to get the issue but where? My mom says she’s never heard of it and it looks and sounds familiar to me but i’ve no idea where I’ve seen it. I didn’t think i’d ever seen it at a drugstore and sure enough I searched and neither Walgreens nor CVS carries it and we no longer have Osco. No results at Target.com either. I’m in Tucson so it’s not a tiny town or anything but it’s no NYC or LA either. Where can I buy Nylon?

Ohhhh I’m so happy for you!! This is a marvellous step for LimeCrime – and it may help to combat a lot of the bad publicity that some bloggers have given you. I really hope things start to go better for LimeCrime :)
