Limes & Lemons
Category: Makeup Tutorials

INGREDIENTS
- Neon Yellow glitter
- Neon green cream eyeshadow, regular green eyeshadow
- Black and dark green powder eye shadows
- Black liquid eyeliner
- Black mascara
- False eyelashes
- Fuchsia lip gloss
- Foundation
- Translucent powder
It helps to have a steady hand to do this look – but don’t worry, with practice you’ll be a pro in no time! Let’s start out with black mascara, applied thickly to top and bottom lashes. Cover eyelids with foundation
or eyeshadow base. Now take a big brush and fill up the eyelids with Apple Green up to the eyebrows. With a slanted brush (if you have one) apply black eyeshadow under the eye extending outwards for a cat-like look.
Wet a medium-sized brush and paint on Neon Green cream shadow onto the lids extending outwards again. Do not go over the crease. While the eyeshadow is still wet and sticky apply Neon Yellow glitter right on top with your finger. I added a bit of green under the inner corners as well, with yellow glitter on top.
Now on to the tricky part – ooooh! Liquid liner. Always start out from inner corners moving towards the temple. As you can see I drew in the crease and once again extended the line outwards. Keep your eye closed for a while, let the eyeliner dry otherwise it might smudge. Do the bottom part, extending the inner corners slightly downwards, like shown. Don’t worry about painting over the glitter, it’s ok. I like to use liquid liner on my waterline and top lid for stronger effect but if you aren’t comfortable with liquid, use regular pencil for those places. Clean up the glitter from under your eyes with scotch tape when you’re done.
Eyelashes part I found somewhat difficult. Instead of gluing them on top, I decided to glue them on the BOTTOM of my lashes. That’s a trick they use in all the mascara ads. The effect it creates is really cool – you can’t tell I’m wearing falsies even when my eyes are closed! All you do is put the glue on top of the lashes and you basically glue them on top of your own from below. Removal isn’t difficult or painful, by the way. Try it. If you can’t figure it out, do it the usual way – on top of the eyeliner.
Prep your skin with moisturizer, let it sip it for a bit. I used concealer under my eyes and in reddish/uneven areas. I’m on my period and my skin was looking a little blotchy, so I put on foundation on my entire face with a sponge. With a large powder brush and apply translucent powder all over your face and neck. I used hot pink blush here, and a lot of it to compete with the pink hair!!! If you don’t have pink hair (I would imaging most people don’t) you don’t need massive amounts of blush. :)
I did something different this time. First I put on pinkish lip gloss. Then, instead of covering my entire lips in lipstick, I only use it in the center (leaving the corners tint-free). As a result I got created a slightly pouty, fuller look. I used my favorite Shiseido hot pink lipstick for color by the way. Voila!
