One thing I love about LA is I get to collaborate with my West Coast friends. I did key makeup for my friend Maria’s mermaid-inspired jewelry collection, and our the model was… the inimitable Traci Hines! (Google her! I’m serious!)
MERMAID MAKEUP
My favorite part about doing makeup was working with Traci herself. She is pretty, petite, and incredibly sweet. I wanted the look to be playful yet romantic with peachy skin, jewel-toned eyes and flirty lashes. Tracy asked me to keep her signature beauty mark, so we did. :)
Cosmopop + a touch of Traci’s own MAC gloss on top = WIN!
I’m very happy with way eye makeup came out, especially the blue/pink/purple gradient. I used: Troubadour, Cupcake Thief (best-seller at IMATS!), Empress, & Mischief Managed on the eyes, and Centrifuchsia on the lips.

ugh what this is all so adorable.
Ooh, the makeup is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had the patience to do such complex blending and such though. Usually I just swipe on one colour, some mascara, and some chapstick.
I love mermaids!!! I was just playing mermaids with my little cousins in our pool, throwing cheap jewelry to the bottom so we could go diving for “buried treasure” :-). What a fun photoshoot and the makeup is awesome as always. Glad to see the glee! xo

Oh I love this…I love Traci too, she has an amazing singing voice and I love when she is Ariel from little mermaid so this is perfect!
