Got this in my mail today:

Interesting encounter I just thought I would share with you: I was in the MAC store browsing their new romance line that released yesterday (looks to have potential) and I struck up a conversation with a girl working there. We were discussing MAC makeup and I was on the fence because I have been toying with the idea of picking up some of your glitters and going glam for this summer. Before I knew it, she asked who MACs competition was and when I told her she couldn’t believe that I was a reader of your blog, and we spent about an hour and a half discussing your products! She has never tried any before, so I promised that I would sneak her some of my Circus Girl, because she wanted to see how it would show up (all the while standing in the very busy MAC store.) Its crazy how you just find people all over like that who know of what I’m talking about!

But! The main focus of our conversation was your new lipstick line, we’re both sooo excited about it! We redheads are huge fans of bright lip colors, and I purposely picked up a whole new MAC palette of colors that I think will work wonderfully with the bright hues that I am expecting, even though I don’t even know what you’re releasing yet lol.

Anyways, it was a fun experience, and I wanted to share it with you :)
Thanks!

This made my week. Thank you, Natalie!

First of all, I’m a huge MAC fan & look up to them in so many ways. A lot of cosmetic companies are in this business for one reason: to make money. They aren’t interested in inventing anything new, don’t solve any problems and simply follow trends because they are a ‘hot sell’. As a result, we have a bunch of companies selling the same thing – beige lipstick, brown eyeshadow. Yuckity-yuck!

MAC is different. The amount of thought they pour into each line is truly inspirational. As a makeup artist and a girly girl, I genuinely care about the product I put out – if I am not happy with it, I’m not going to release it, it’s that simple. Like MAC, I just want to break some rules and have fun with it!

Thinking up this lipstick line has been the most exciting thing I ever got to do in my life. I can’t divulge much yet, but I can tell you this: there’s going to be about 10 shades – from wearable to quite outrageous – all just a little bit on the outside. ;) Oh, and the packaging will be… how do I put it… you’ll never want to leave it out of your make-up purse!
