I actually looked up a local cosmetics color lab in my area and the process they describe on their website is just like the process that Doe describes. It sounds like a lot of fun working with these experts to get exactly what you’re looking for and I think I might try to arrange visit to the lab I found one day.

Alana please read more carfully your comment is irrelevent to mine. I was wondering if the batches were different if a sample that the lab uses to match it is different. Or is it all from one original sample. It seems obvious to me now. but still you clarified nothing because you answered and insulted me for asking questions I did not ask!

I think it has been made clear that this is how she develops colour samples/ideas – not the actual product. The actual product which LimeCrime sells is made in a hygenic lab with specific procedures and measurements.
