Someone corrected me earlier saying that foundation and concealer should always be applied first, before the eye shadows or mascara. There is nothing wrong with that technique and it can certainly be used in simpler looks. However, with dramatic make-up, most of the time you end up making such a mess around your eyes that by the time you’re done, you might as well start all over on your skin. Some deviations from the traditional application are perfectly fine and encourages – don’t forget that make-up is an art and you should do what works, not what somebody had told you! (not even me! ;))

This look started out as a pair of $2.99 drug store eyelashes (don’t you just love when they bust out all the Halloween stuff??). These lashes have regular black hairs mixed with reflective foil ones and are suuuper shiny and beautiful! Put foundation on your eyelids all the way up to your brows. Blue eyeshadow is applied
first in this look, followed by the reflective creme which is blended over the blue. I put up close-ups this time so you can see how everything is applied.

I gave my right eye a bit of a ‘fishy’ look by drawing blue tails on the outer corners with a thin brush. Liquid eyeliner is applied closer to the natural lash line (this is where your falsies will go on).

I love glitter. Glitter is god! But the thing about glitter is that it won’t stay on your face unless you provide a sticky base for it. I usually dab some lotion lightly over my eyelids with my finger (careful not to smudge
the shadow!) and then quickly dab the glitter on. I used the Caboodles glitter which comes in different colors (I used light blue to go with the marine theme).

I applied hot pink brush to my cheeks (I recommend Milani’s Mango Tango) and pale lilac lipstick to the lips. Voila!
