Metallics are associated with luxury and elegance. Whether you’re going for subtle glamour or all-out dazzle this spring, metallic accents are a great way to heat up your look!
The best way to tell whether an eyeshadow you’re buying is metallic is to test it on the back of your hand – simply looking at the color won’t do the trick. Metallics have exceptional reflective abilities and superb coverage. Rubbing it on the back of your hand should look like a thin layer of foil has been painted onto your skin – think the gold leaf effect.

I love this trend. I love metallic silver, especially, around my eyes to give me that 80’s rock-star look. ;) Besides, I love anything sparkly, shimmery, etc. and metallic is in that same glamorous family!

I recently purchased a kryolan aquacolor palette, and I’m in love with the gold and the silver inside it. It’s a little bit hard to use because you have to get it wet, but the results are fab.

Color Design Eyeshadow – # 501 Silver Shines, is my favourite metallic product in my collection. It has amazing colour payoff and lasts all day. Gotta love the metallics, you can create some very bold looks with them.

CURRENTLY my favorite metallic beauty product is a little set I bought from Charlotte Russe — it has 3 little pots that stack on top of each other — one has a silvery cream shadow and another a purple metallic cream shadow and the third has a loose silver glitter. :) I LOVE to give myself that silver metallic base and then pack in the glitter on top for special occasions — usually concert going because the glitter pops in the dark with low lighting. :)

Suddenly I’m feeling like my metallics collection is a bit underrated… right now the closest/best I have would be this gunmetal/greenish color by MAC. I love how thickly it goes on, the unusual color, and how I can seem to wear it with anything…

Treasure chest looks the best to me, bright golds are just so stunning, and they seem to bring back the warmth, even in this time of year.
My second favorite is Mirror Mirror, but since I’m yearning for some heat I’ll give my vote to the gold.

My absooolute favorite metallic make-up is this kryolan set I bought, it came with a gold, bronze and silver lip gloss set that came out true to color, and the best part? The watercolor metallic that came with it! I wear the silver almost every single day wet, either by itself or with my eyeshadow over it. It enhances the color of the eyeshadow and its my favorite base and eye make up!

At the moment, my favourite product is a gold eyeshadow by Bobbi Brown which gives a nice understated shimmer. I don’t really have any strong metallic colours but the new Lime Crime ones definitely look as if they’ll do the trick!

I have this new liquid liner by Kat Von D… it is a shade of metallic purple. It takes a few coats, which sucks, but once done looks freaking awesome!

My favourite metallic product is GOSH’s Velvet Touch / No7’s Metallic eyeliner pencils.
I love them because I can either be lazy and wear a neutral shadow with the liner as a dazzling pop of colour, or I can use them to make a smokey eye more interesting.
I think coloured metallic liners have more.. dimension than usual kohl ones.

Hmmm… I guess my favourite is an eyeliner I bought with a friend of mine. We both liked that colour so much that we decided to both buy it :)
She recently came over to my place and brought her eyeliner too. It’s not even a quarter of the size it used to be :D And mine was as big as hers! We both use it almost every day :)
So this is not only my favourite because of the beautiful bronze colour, but also because of the memories and the fact that we both have the same one :)

My favourite metallic beauty product is the ‘Dazzle Me!’ Eye Dust by Collection 2000 in ‘Bedazzle.’ It’s a fantastic light golden colour, but the effect is hard to put into words, so I wrote a poem instead :D
Thin as pixie dust, light as air,
Bold in colour, yet barely there.
Like a sunrise on a winters day,
Smooth and golden, like a sun ray.
Dazzle me eye dust is the way to go,
That’s a thing everyone should know.
More shades, that’s the only thing I lack,
Once you try Bedazzle, you’ll never go back!

I haven’t had the pleasure of trying any of the Lime Crime metallic products, but I would definitely say that my favorite metallic product that I have right now is a Lancome color that is a deep, high shimmer bronze that is too dark to use as a bronzer for my all-over skin, but looks absolutely amazing when used in contrast with a lighter champagne sparkle eyeshadow that I have. Depending on whether its evening wear, or I’m just looking to spice something up for the daytime, it makes an EXCELLENT base, or contrast color. I have strawberry blonde hair with cinnamon/hazel eyes, so especially when I use it in the crease of my eyelid with a lighter color it really makes my features pop. Love it!

I absolutely love ben nye’s metallic shimmer powder, they can be applied wet or dry and are super vibrant! kroylan also has some neat products, who cares if their meant for the stage ;)

I had a nail polish that I bought at a Sanrio store a long time ago. It was a gorgeous silvery neon green that I’ve never been able to find again ): It was a tiny bottle too, so I used it up really fast.

My favorite metallic cosmetic would definiatly be Rimmel’s Stir It Up cream eyeshadow in No Way! It’s an amazing silver with lighter and darker tones mixed in, with amazing shine. My favorite eyeshadow so far, but that’s only because I haven’t bought any Lime Crime yet ;P

Metallic is definitely my favorite beauty trend right now! I have a fierce bronze eyeshadow from Maybelline that came in a brown eyeshadow combo. It surprised me how vibrant it was when I put it on wet – I even prefer it to my MAC shades of gold :)

It is sooo turquoise and shimmery that it makes my brown eyes and red hair totally pop. Its so unusual and yet so quick and easy. I can look fabulous in like, 30 seconds.

Glitter. End of story. I love the little MAC pigments to death, I use them for EVERYTHING, from eyeshadow to hiliter to eyeliner, they’ve got such a punch for such a little amount of product. And they’ve got stuff from the legitimate glitter looking stuff to the loose powder, all of which are equally metallic. Plus, mixing and matching colors? All the way! Not to mention, very easy to control.
The only problem you run into is when you get stuff like Teal which is not safe for your eyes… I learned that one only after I’d been using it on my eyes for a while… Oops.

My fav metallic product was this no name duo with this amazing true gold and beautiful olive green color that I had when I was 17. I havent been able to find it, or a better gold since. It made my blue eyes pop!

I have this uber old max-factor eyeshadow trio, and they are these incredible, metallic shades. one is called caribbean, and it’s this green-blue color, there’s a colour called sable, and it’s a purplish metallic brown, and the last one is violet, and it’s… well, violet. :P yeah, they looks so nice together, i love them!

I love my MAC Metal-X Cream Shadow in Goldspice and my Urban Decay liquid liner in Honey, but I just got Too Faced’s “Girls Dig Pearls” lip gloss in Mermaid and it is my favorite product ever. It’s pinkish with gold glitter and I know it doesn’t create the metallic foil look like the other products, but it makes my mouth look like a gemstone or something.

I love metallic eyeshadow, especially in silver. Using it as eyeliner gives my dark eyes that shimmer to make them pop!

My fav. metalic make-up product is the Lime Crime Empress eye shadow mixed with a bit of water. It turns in to the prettiest metalic purple when applyed wet. And it stays shiney all day. So many people notice it!!

I love any and all metallics! I can’t have my eyeshadows or pigments without some sort of shimmer. Honestly I love my highlight colour the best, its a loreal pigment in a frosty white shade that I have had for years and it definitely gets its use!

Right now my favorite metallic products are Kryolan aquacolors that I use as eyeliner. I have the silver and the gold one..well..HAD them. I think that someone borrowed them as I have not seen them in awhile! I also dig MAC pro pigment in Gold. Very lush!

I’m in love with a grey metallic pigment from Barry M which is so incredibly reflective when I put it on my eyes! I’m a big fan of the smoky eyes and this pigment is amazing over a wet black eyeshadow, it just magnifies my eyes. I’ve not yet tried any Lime Crime makeup because I’m only a student and I’m really quite poor, but I really hope to buy pretty much all of the pigments one day when I’m a rich artiste! (:

I haven’t had the money to try the Limeyshadows yet, so for now my favorite is Milani’s liquid gold liner. Cheap and so pretty! even my boyfriend notices and always comments on how much he loves it, and he’s a boy who can’t tell shadows from shinola, so that’s impressive.

I have some pale gold powdered shadow, and when I am going to a party or just want to glow, I tap a little into my face powder. Without adding shine, it just adds more lights and energy to my skin!

One of my favorite metallic beauty products is the Mehron Paradise Palette in Metallic they are sooo shimmery they make excellent eyeshadow bases. Also using mac or urben decay liners as a color base for the whole eye lid makes for an extra metallic color base.

I recently bought a bright green eyeshadow, because it has a lovely colour. It was a cheap drugstore brand, and I got it to experiment with colours. When I put it on, I discovered that not only did it have wonderful consistency, but it was shimmery and metallic, more of a green-gold than green. It is my absolute favorite eyeshadow, but I also use a metallic bronze eyeshadow occasionally.

I love mirror mirror. the intense sparkle is intense. I made this mask depicting the night sky in elementary school with the moon over one eye and stars around the other, and with mirror mirror I had the opportunity to recreate the mask out of makeup, and it was lovely.

I actually haven’t tried a ton of metallics yet–but have been dipping my toes into this unknown area of makeup more and more! :) There is something so joyful and glam at the same time about a bright splash of metallic. I have used a loose bronze metallic powder I purchased last December (or rather, my husband bought it as a Christmas stocking stuffer! ;). It’s great for adding a dash of something special if we’re going out, or I just feel like vamping up a smokey eye!

I’ll have to say I love doing silver and gold on the eyes to look so chic and shinny! And apply some metallic silver to the lips for an absolute knockout look! Add a colored mascara or glitter to the lashes and you are set to reflect! :D

I think the “mirror mirror” eyeshadow is my favorite metallic. It just looks so magical on the eye. It’s vibrant and I’ve never seen another silver that is so bright. I like the way you can make it look solid or put it on lightly for an over effect to add a little somethin’-somethin’ to other designs on the eye. ^_^

Okay, my favourite metallic beauty product has to be Urban Decay’s range of eyeliners. The pencil ones are very nice, and they include a lovely dark gold which is really metallic if you put it on thickly. But my overall favourite is definitely the red liquid liner. I used it to create a metallic red cat eye :)

I really enjoy the Heavy Metal Glitter liner “Baked” by Urban Decay. I like to be able to put it on with some funky greens. When I don’t have the extra time to do something extravagent I will take some nude shadows and apply it with them. I also love all silver shadows/pigments. There so fun to make your everyday makeup a bit more funky.
The “Treasure Chest” looks to die for though.

My favorite metallic makeup product is Manic Panic Hell’s Bells lipstick. It’s a dark silver/pewter color with a high shine that contrasts my pale skin. I originally bought it for a costume party (I went as a maniacal robot), but I find myself using it as eyeshadow now! It lasts really well, much longer than most cream eyeshadows, and it doesn’t crease.

I love love love my $$$yes nail polish from MAC. It looks like you have put tin foil on your nails, plus since its silver it adds a futuristic look to any nail look. I also love to use it as a decorating colour. The texture is amazing. As a lifeguard, I cant wear a lot of nail polish because it comes right off in the water but this is one colour I am willing to reapply. But all metallics are perfect in my books. Glitter and shiny things are my cup of tea. No wonder my Dad calls me a crow. lol

My absolute favourite metallic product has to be Rimmel’s All Over Pencil in the shade 010 Harmony.
It has great coverage and the colour is perfect. It suits different moods depending on what colour you use it with. For example, I like putting it over the ball of my eye and using a pink powder (by Go) in my crease, then blending. It’s a really fun daytime look. And for night time, I like to use it as an accent for a ’smoky eye’ look. Giving your a eye a bit of a lift, and adding more texture.
The consistency is creamy yet it holds and doesn’t bulk or weigh down your lid.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone!

My favorite metallic color has to be Diva, its the freshest metallic color this season, it was new for the spring runways, Versace’s outfits, Bottega Veneta accessories and Louis Vuitton used copper finishes on accessories as well. By the way I wrote today a review on your empress magic dust, the pics don’t do your make-up justice, but I think the color is absolutely fabulous!

My favourite metallic product is a metallic gold lip stick, i think by Rimmel? It goes on wet and it dries to a perfect gold finish
My second favourite would probably be Lucky Penny eye shadow by Clinique. It doesn’t look metallic at first, but if you wet the brush before using it, it dries with a metallic, pinky sheen.

I LOVE metallic makeup of all kinds. To me it reminds me of Jem & the Holograms, being truly outrageous with one’s own self. My favorite product is a no-name metallic hot pink eyeliner I got ages ago, it’s just now running out. (sadness!) I wear bright colours all year since they make me happy. I have some blue metallic eye gloss I bought years ago from The Body Shop, it’s absolutely stunning and I wish they did similar products now. Most of my make-up faves are products that have since been discontinued, in some cases the whole line was withdrawn! :(

i absolutely love love LOVE mirror mirror. while i don’t have any, some of the pictures are stunning. not a lot of people go around wearing silver eyeshadow, or the other fun colors like lime criminal. but i think that its pretty nifty to wear bright funky colors that make eyes pop. ^_^

i dont use a lot of metallics but my favorite metallic product is definitely Kat Von D’s autograph eyeliner in Love Metal. It looks great with a BUNCH of different shadows, its gorgeous and bright and lasts for freakin ever ;-)

My favorite metallic makeup was a combination that I had scrounged together over a year, and I adored the stuff. It consisted of some gold lipstick (from Lipsmackers–was vanilla scented too) that looked great with my skin tone and bronzey eyeshadow that looked like I’d dusted essence of bright brand new penny over my eyelids. It glowed brilliantly and it didn’t take more than a light dusting. (Sadly, the stuff disappeared in a moving exodous, and I have not been able to find anything like those items since, much to my disappointment)
What I liked most about the stuff was that I could wear it all the time and it made me feel like I was in a warmer place (I was living in Alaska at that point).

My favorite metallic item is this gold sparkle eye duo liquid eyeshadow and matching eyeliner by Malibu Glitz that I found at a dollar store. I use it every day almost its great if you just want a subtle shine or a very dramatic lid. Also, since its liquid it blends well and I can create a very sexy smokey eye look by blending it with some black pencil liner.

Well, I’m using a cheap metallic pallet from claire’s with 24 different metallic shades and I swear it’s as good as high-brand luxury metallic goods even though I’d love to try out yours.

I have this silver eyeliner that I just LOVELOVELOVE. Though, it ran out awhile ago and I’ve yet to replace it. ]: I also love metallic nail polish.
Those new eyeshadows are so pretty! <3 Gotta love the gold. My friend, who adores all things gold, would be super jealous if I got it… Hhehe, I don’t think I would be able to share, though.

My all time favourite metallic product is the Old Gold pigment by MAC. It’s ‘meant’ for the eyes but it stays on so well I can use it for anything! It’s usually in action on a night out, either in a thick band across my face and eyes like a ‘mask’, or painted onto my lips! :]

My favorite Metallic makeup is Old Gold, a pigment by Mac that I fell in love with years ago. IT shimmers gold but has almost a green quality to it. For me it has been the best summer color!

My favorite metallic product is the aqua eyes eyeliner collection by makeup for ever.the colors are really bold and i like piling two one on top of the other. they slide on so easy but are really smear proof. they call the bronze one ‘metallic’ but all of them (especially the turquoise) shine and look like a thin foil.
i buy it off of sephora (WORTH THE SPLURGE :D)

my favorite metallic product has to be the eyeshadow no.284 from Art Deco. It is an icy white with purple accents, kind of like Fairy Wings but more metallic and less glittery…like a piece of fluorescent snow on the eyelids…i love it so much that i use it pretty much everywhere, cheeks lips eyes wet or dry :P

Oh man, I have Urban Decay’s shimmer stick (not sure of the name, it’s rubbed off!) that I’ve been in love with for about 10 years now. I only have to use a little at a time, so it’s lasted. It looks like gold leafing on my eyes, I loooove it.

Shiny things are my most favorite things in the world.
Quite honestly I’ve never found metallic makeup that was vibrant enough for my tastes, perhaps I’ll win this and find that YOUR metallics are!! One can hope. *hops on one foot*

My favorite metallic ‘makeup’ product so far is acrylic paint. Yes folks, that’s right. Latex based, thick, happy acrylic paint. It’s stretchy so it moves with your face and peels right off when you want but doesn’t easily rub off and get everywhere!! I’ve tried some eyeshadows but… like I said, none were ever shiny enough! Yours look quite promising though! *hops again*

That leopard makeup is insane!
I’m going to have to go with metallic eyeliner.
The first thing people usually notice about me (or at least comment on) is my hair color, which is naturally strawberry blonde. I guess this makes sense; it’s an uncommon color. In fact, I can remember this boy in sixth grade who tried to argue that there was no way my hair was naturally this color because people just don’t grow hair that way! Ah, the wisdom of twelve-year-old boys.
Anyhow, several times I’ve had acquaintances become close friends. I have poor people-judging skills, but way I can tell that we’ve become closer is that they’ll comment on my eyes. Out of the blue, they’ll just look me in the eyes and say, “You have green eyes.” Exactly that; no comment on anything but the fact that they are green. Weird, right?
On a related note, my mom once asked my ex-boyfriend (we had been dating for over a year at this point) what color my eyes were. He couldn’t answer.
So… yeah. I used to have a gold eyeliner that I liked because it looked good with my eyes, didn’t clash with my hair or skin, and it had decent sticking power.

Normally I hate pink, but it looks fantastic in a super-vaunted catseye over some coal-black eyshadow. Way too much awesome for one single tube of cosmetic. I’m thinking of buying the purple and the Radium blue too.

My favorite metallic product is “Super Top Speed Chrome” nail polish from Revlon. They are sadly not available anymore but they’re definitely super fast drying and a fantastic chrome polish. “LilyChrome” is my favorite of that line.

Some of my favorite metallic products are Urban Decay’s 24-7 pencil in Lucky, Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Liner in Baked, Urban Decay’s Last Call and Baked eyeshadows, and Bare Minerals’ Platinum glimmer (only available in the pure platinum collection.) I love layering the liners over dark browns and blacks, or for a really eclectic look-layering over a bold blue or green (or combo!!) The eyeshadows are so versatile and you can apply as many layers as needed for any effect!! And my favorite line EVER (bare minerals) has wowed me again with the Platinum glimmer. It’s silver and has platinum infusions and is sooo versatile!!! Great for foiling alone or with the companion eyecolor Twilight (a midnight blue with silver/black glitters-one of my other favorites!!)

Diva looks gorgeous, I can imagine it’s really versatile, too. You could use it in the day for a really simple look, but it could be part of a really stunning nighttime look also.
I love metallics, I have this really perfect shimmery silver liquid eyeshadow – it’s so good, you can use it as a highlighter and it’s shimmery and pale, but it’s amazing for sticking glitter on effectively too. I’m so gutted though, they don’t make it any more! I really need a replacement. Such is life!

Sephora Brand Glitter Eyeliner is pretty great, as are Milani’s Wet/Dry Runway Eyes eyeshadows.
Revlon Super Top Speed nail polishes are wonderfully metallic, but I think they’re retired as a line.

My very best friend and I took our first Girls Only Vacation (5 or 6 years ago) to Toronto. Our first stop was the Eaton Centre where we rushed right to the MAC counter – because there was no way to get MAC where we lived except through mail/web order.
We both walked off with a few hundred dollars worth of goodies but one of the BEST Things we bought were these black eye pencils with metallic silver glitter in them and this metallic – sheeny purple eye paint. We went out that night and painted the town red (or glittery purple).
I still have a stub of that pencil… I just can’t let go – even five years later (although I’d never actually put it on my eyes at this point!)

My personal favorite is MAC’s “Virgin Silver” from their winter collection ‘07. It’s a cream shadow but I also use it under brows, on cheeks and under lipstick to girl it a full glittery glow. I’m almost running out and it was a limited product so I’m a little sad.

My favourite metallic beauty product is the Kryolan Aqua Colour in bright cobalt blue – an absolutely stunning product! The sheen on it is so dazzling that you can apply a layer of matte shadow over the top and it still shines brightly through.

I’m in love with gold at the moment. My mom reminded me that my grandmother loves it too and that I inherited it from her.
I own MAC’s Metal-X cream gold eyeshadow called “Pure Ore.” After I use my finger to put it on I have to decide which part of my face to rub the excess on because wiping it off on my shirt would be so wasteful. It’s too metallic for words.

My favorite metallic is my old Nars multiple in Maldives. Its a shiny champagne color that can add reflection to your eyes, cheeks, lips or decolletage! Plus it’s lasted me ages.

It goes on very metallic silver without water or sealant and is so shiny! I love it! It blends easily and glides on like a dream. This color is PURE SILVER! No black, grey under/overtones, a very true color. The best silver eyeshadow I have ever owned!

My favourite metallic product is by far my Bronze Shimmer lipstick by MAC. I like to apply it on my lips and then put on some lipgloss, where, the shade also becomes metallic-ized. My favourite combo would be the bronze shimmer lipstick and some orange lipgloss.

Oh metallics – how I love thee.
I have some lovely metallics from Kryolan and Wolfe Bros (I’m also a body painter/artist and these two are brands I use both on the job and in my personal kit) as well as some random metallics (coppers, brozes and golds are my favorite – Always wanted to try silver but have not yet found a silver I like to use. Also like metallic colours like metallic greens with a shine of gold or silver to them)
But back on topic, I find Wolfe Brothers to have the most intense colours – though the interferenz of Kryolan can be a nice sheer look.

This is about the lake I grew up by and had one of my first passionate kisses by.. Lake Erie.

I’ve been searching and searching for a beautiful, metallic silver color for the longest time. I’ve been pining away at a few of your colors for the longest time, Doe. The longest time.
Then I saw your beautiful new Mirror, Mirror, and it was an instantaneous, beautiful, passionate want, need, and love. It was as if I had found something I had been searching for for the longest time.
I have a deep passion for robotics. I love all the wires, the electricity, and metallic look of the android as a whole. I am even designing a beautiful tattoo to represent my love for all things metallic and robotic. Unfortunately, all the silvers or even greys I have tried using as an eye shadow have been nothing short of a disappointment. So obviously when I saw the Mirror, Mirror on your page, I knew I was going to have to have it! It would fulfill the glamourous, high-quality metallic silver I have been searching for to pay homage to my love for all things robotic and metallic!
So, even though I do not have a favorite metallic beauty product, I know your Mirror, Mirror shall soon consume and fill my heart (and eyelids!) with happiness and glee!

I love all metallic makeup. I have this really nice gold shadow(nothing like yours though, wow!) that I sometimes like to apply with my fingers because of the different effect I get from brushes. And two silver ones too, now that I think of it. Also, I have gold and silver liquid liners, that’s are pretty neat, but kind of irritate my eyes. :( Metallics are awesome!! They ALMOST win over bright colors. hehe.

I’ve been smearing Ben Nye’s Lumiere colours into the inside corners of my eyes for years! Its’ the most concentrated pigment I’ve found .. I’m sure it’s terrible for me!

Oh, geez this is a toughy. It’s not necessarily my number one favorite product but… it’s definitely up there, plus it’s really unique!
It is Chanel’s Infarouge lipstick in “Malibu”, a warm copper metallic lipstick. It’s super gorgeous, and I have not found a color as interesting as it is. I don’t wear it much, for if you have even the slightest dry lips it will accentuate it like CRAZY, but a bit of gloss over remedies that <3

Well, I must admit to not having any metallics at the moment- purely because they’re hard to find in the area I’m living in at the moment. But I am coveting a metallic purple or pink eyeliner to bring out the green in my eyes :) There are actually plenty of items in the comments above that I’m going to look into also!

My favourite metallic make-up is this old pot of silver metallic cream eyeshadow from Club Monaco. It looks much like Mirror Mirror and is so bright and wonderful on the eyes but because it is a cream, it creases in the eyelid area so I have to keep blending the colour on my lid throughout the night. :( I bet Mirror Mirror would be much better! :)

My favorite used to be CoverGirl’s “Golden Sunrise” because it made my blue eyes look INCREDIBLE but then my brother bought me Lime Crime “Siren” for xmas which immediatly replaced that cover girl stuff as my favorite. My eyes have never looked more vibrant and brilliant than in the “Siren”

Oh, how funny! Today I was just thinking about how I am going to put away a little cash so I can get more of your shadows!
I happen to be really fond of Lorac’s Metallic Pearl shadow. I hear the other colors (of the metallic line – bronze and copper) flake, but for me, besides being a little messy, this gets the job done. I like to use it as a base and then add a little bit of Nymph to the outer corners of my eyes, it looks great!

I’m not sure if this counts as a metallic beauty product, but I fell in love with a nail polish called “Petalchrome” (can’t buy it any longer, but someone posted a video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqdx2_RYIyM – in fact, I liked the nailpolish so much, petalchrome became my YouTube nickname). The nail polish was a metallic light blue and made me feel like I had the hands of an ice Goddess. I haven’t tried any other kind of metallic cosmetic, as I avoided wearing all cosmetics until the last two years when I decided I kind of have to wear makeup now… surprisingly, in the past few months I’ve discovered I’m becoming pretty obsessed with makeup and have been adding more and more to my collection… and becoming much more daring, opting for brighter and louder colours (my new favourite lipstick is Vintage Wine by Clinique).

I recently bought a GOSH extreme art liquid eye liner in gold.. the color is Amazing and it applies so well. I even use it on the entire lid or smudged (while still wet) for a difused softer look. I really love it. If you can get your hands on gosh product try them theyre really good.

i dont use metallics much on a regular basis but i do tend to use urban decay’s 24/7 eye pencil in ‘yayo’ alot, its a beautiful metallic silver and i like using it on my waterline
i think it would work nicely with limecrime’s ‘mirror mirror’ shadow (loving that ‘treasure chest’ golden metallic shadow too, actually i love them all :D )

My favorite metallic product would have to be my O.P.I nail polish in At Your Quebec & Call which is a hunter green mixed with dazzeling gold. It looks fabulous at any time of the year and with most of my outfits. It’s glamerous yet can be both sophisticated and cute. Plus, I always get at least one compliment when I wear it. :)

Currently my favorite metallic product would have to be the Kryolan Aquashade in Interferenze Silver.
It is a metallic cream based product that I use mainly as an eyeshadow base, but this product can also be used as a face paint.
I love this product because I can wear it by itself for some lovel metallic silvery-white goodness–I swear it looks just like TIN FOIL–or as an eyeshadow base to give the eyeshadow I wear some lovely dimension. I can see your Lime Crime shadow in Mirror, Mirror would look lovely with it.
That is my favorite at the moment, but honestly, all the shadows in the Kryolan Interferenze Palette are TO DIE FOR and metallic. The color Interferenze Gold makes a wonderfully metallic yellow-gold which looks great under any warm color eyeshadow.
I love metallic eyeshadow bases and shadows because they 1) bring immediate focus to your eyes 2) give your eyeshadows a lovely dimentional look–not flat! 3) they’re pretty!

Oh man I have so many! Anything shiny will do, honestly. But my favorite right now is E.L.F mineral eyeshadow in Earth. When you apply it wet, it’s a stunning green-gold. I use it as eyeliner underneath my black liquid liner (cat eyes, yay!) and it looks like foil. I wear it constantly because I love doing green eye makeup with my purple outfits – and I wear a lot of purple. This shadow just makes my eye makeup POP!

Is there anything other than metallic? Metallic beauty products are great because they make me feel shiny, and in this dull town, I need shiny stuff in my life.
My favorite metallic beauty product is my Jane cream eyeshadow stick in Stormy. Stormy is a greenish gunmetal color with a fair amount of shine. It’s simple and fast, but easy to dress up. I can apply black on the outer corners to darken it, or bronze loose powder in the corners, creases, or all over, to brighten it up. The color reminds me of dragons and jewels (especially with the bronze or gold) but it also reminds me of the forest at twilight (even more so with black or a tad of silver glitter). Either way, this color makes me feel just a little bit more elegant. Not every stormy day has to be drab.

My favorite metallic product at the moment is MAC Pro’s pigment in Platinum. It’s seriously so bright and bold.
If your feeling gusty, you can use on your lips, or mix onto your cheeks, or just use it as a bright bold shadow or eyeliner.

I love Urban Decay’s liquid glitter liners. They give an amazing amount of sparkle that will stay put all day! I also have a soft spot for this Estee Lauder gold eyeshadow set. Goes on perfectly smooth with just the right amount of shine. Might have to invest in some Lime Crime shadow too!

I have this very old Revlon nailpolish that morphs from melted steel to antique gold to pearly deep brown as you shift your fingers. I definitely have a hard time looking at the road while I’m driving if that color’s on my tips! It makes me want to put on some khakis and a stylish hat and begin digging up an ancient empire.

I am obsessed with gold (I have been for awhile). Anyways, I found a seller on Etsy who produces her own makeup: PureMineralsSource. She is known for her “gold diggers,” which are multiple shades of metallic golds and bronzes.
I bought 10 different eyeshadow samples from her, and let me tell you, her eyeshadows are no joke. They are amazing. I think Havana Heat is my favorite. Besides golds, she has a bunch of different colors. Really amazing products and they are animal friendly (vegetarian). Which is a major plus in my book.

I love the blueish greenish metallic aquacolor from Kryolan. I usually wear it over black eyeliner because the way it shines reminds me of peacock feathers. And it looks awesome when it’s surrounded by MAC “Electric Eel” or “Humid” eyeshadow.

My experience with metalics in makeup isn’t vast, yet. My Makeup kit is lacking deeply. But one of my favorite products is the Green Luqid Eyeliner [I believe it's called Acid] from Urban Decay and has a beautiful metalic sheen to it. It’s an amazingly vibrant color, and it won’t budge without makeup remover once it dries.
I’ve yet to have the pleasure of trying your products [thanks economy], this would be a great oppertunity to add something new to the kit! :D

As far as metallic eyeshadows go, I’ve never quite found the *right* one (although Urban Decay make a good effort) so I look forward to this new range!
I love Kryolan’s entire metallic Aquacolour range, and the fact that you can create a whole range of effects with them depending on how much water you use. They are also fantastic for body makeup. I have this one thats kind of holographic pink/gold and its beautiful.

Mmm… my favorite metallic makeup would have to be this peachy-pinky-mauvey-bronze lipstick that my step-grandmother sent me when I turned 13. At age 13, I didn’t use lipstick, and I thought the gift of makeup was a bit odd (I was a tomboy), but when I was rifling through my drawer again at age 16, oh… that lipstick was right there. It was somehow just the perfect shade for my fair skin, and I used it as lipstick, rouge, and eye-tint every day for years. I still use it daily, and combine it with any reds whenever I wear red lipstick! It’s the perfect shade for me!
My second favorite would have to be a deep bronze compact, technically a bronzer, that I stole from my deeply tanned friend. With my pale, pale northern European skin, the bronzer that blended into her face turned into the most gorgeous sparkly eyeshadow on me!

My very 1st experiment w/metallics was Victoria’s Secret. Who woulda thought, right? It’s been a few years but they had a Liquid Glitter Liner from their “BEAUTY RUSH” collection that I’d received as part of a gift box. The color was called, Copperhot. From there, I was hooked!…so hooked I still have the empty container…
Right now I play w/a sparkly gold metallic liner from URBAN DECAY (Baked), combined w/a shimmery gold metallic shadow(Half Baked)…luvs it!!!

I have to name just ONE favorite metallic product?? :) I don’t think I can do that…so here are a few.
I’m going to go out on a limb without having tried it (YET)…but I am so intrigued by your Dragon Scales shadow. I’m not saying this to suck up, but honestly, I’ve never seen anything like it; it is totally unique and looks exactly like what I think dragon scales would look like.
Laremin mineral eyeshadow in Enchanted Moonlight – because it is such a beautiful shade of peachy-pinky-gold and, to me, looks like a brush of iridescent fairy’s wings when applied wet. The color doesn’t show up accurately on their web site, but they accurately describe it as “opalescent pink lemonade.”
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Mary Jane – it is THE perfect metallic cerulean blue-silver. I have it on today. I am so in love with the color that when I bought a car last year, I bought one in that color!! It reminds me of my childhood Siamese cat’s eyes. I can’t even describe the way this color makes me feel…somehow bold and calm all at once, and it brings back such happy memories of him.
Metallics just make you feel bolder and braver somehow, even the more subdued ones like the Mary Jane color.

Hmmmm.. my favourite metallic beauty product is probably my GOSH Effect Wowder. I had never bought anything of GOSH before because I thought it was just some wannabe-MAC brand. But then I accidently found an Effect Powder hidden underneath loads of cheap ‘n’ crappy makeup-brands, in the clearance box! I lovelovelove it! I use it as eyeshadow, as eyeliner, even on my cheeks/lips/eyelashes sometimes! My motehr sent me this little makeup set for Christmas called “Ice Princess” and I LOVE it! It’s has a frosty pink lip gloss and a collection of beautiful metallic eyeshadows in blue, silver, and white. I don’t know who makes it, but I think she bought it at Dillards. LOVE IT!!!!

My fav are the metallics from L’Oreal Hip sticks. I lurve my silver, gold and cooper. I think cooper and bronze are the best metallics for blue eyes. Kind of like an orange for some pop!

one of my fav products is urban decay “baked”.. it’s such a pretty golden color :) i like to wear it on my lids, and ONLY that color sometimes when i’m lazy with my makeup-doesn’t show up much but i know it’s there and it gives me a pretty shimmer that makes me feel happy inside.

I love metallic looks. Some of my favorite eyeshadows are from Mattese NYC. I love their eyeshadow dusts because they are rich in color. My favorites are Pookster (greenish color that is very shimmery), and Fabulous which is a silver with a hint of brown.
I also love Milan Minerals’s eyeshadows. I especially love the shades such as Passion Play, Yield, and Hyphy Green.
I am an African-American who favors the bright fuschias, purples, bronzes, oranges, yellows, and turquoises. I love vivid bright metallic looks. I also love MAC’s pigments which are rich in color also.

Well, I am in love with this gold glitter my little sister bought me many years ago, from some little beauty store. With a little primer and love it makes this beautiful coat over my eyes/lips/wherever. I use it when I am taking self-portraits every now and then for a glow of sorts, or for a new feel!

My favorite mettalic beauty product is Milani’s Black Magic. It’s an eyshadow on one side and an eyeliner on the other. I use it in SILVER to set off my ‘Mr. Roboto’ look. I dig all things futuristic and flashy, so I love to wear metallic eye shadow paired with big, poofy hair, red lips, and shiny spandex pants.

So I won’t be very afraid to admit that before I could wear make-up I would buy those small little tubes that carried gold dust. Trust me I bought this by the handful, and used that as eye shadow. Silly? Probably so. Impractical? Maybe.
But I loved the color, in fact I loved anything shiny when I was little and in fact still do tay, so for me to hoard small shiny glittery things was not unusual for my parents/friends/fiance to see.
In fact I still hoard things, I found a gold penny, possibly just cleaned till it shined. But the silly thing is I will not spend it, instead I flaunt it to anyone I have not shown before and possibly to others I have much to their annoyance. But with the brightness of such beautiful colors I learned I could stick out from the others, good or bad, I would rather be talked about instead of forgotten.
Finally the gold dust ran out, and I found a gold eye shadow to replace that gold dust. It’s not as bright as the gold dust was, but its there for everyone to know the girl in gold will still shine through the bad.

How terribly exciting! And the odds for now are 1:267… (No, my math’s not faulty; Miss Deere posted hers– unless you’re making yourself eligible to win your own product? Ha. But that makes me #167!)
Well. I know it sounds a bit ludicrous, but it’s great for costumes– tin foil! Seriously, though. Everyone’s talking about how their nail polish or eye shadow or whatever gives a near-foil look… well.
Of course, it’s highly impractical for everyday use, but when it is used, it’s an impact like no other. :) I’ll probably have to try a lot of the products recommended here too, haha, and of course Limecrime!

My favorite metal make-up is the Glam Rocks Metallic Copper shadow from LORAC. I just love how incredibly shiny it is and it’s so versatile! Because it comes out like a shaker you can use it so many ways… I like to rub it into my lips and throw sparkling lipgloss on top AND I’ll sprinkle some into a little mixing bowl and use a bronzer brush to “buff” it on top of my bronzer for that extra glow! If you pack it on the eyes you’ll stop traffic!
The best for that “rockstar” look!

The best metalic i’ve found is also the cheapest. It is by wet n wild and it came out as part of there halloween collection. (Which in its self uped the coolness factor)(Halloween is the best!) 1 bottle is gold and the other is silver and they work wonders. I’ve used it on my eyes in my hair and my mom’s hair and on her face. We went all out for halloween. The product has lasted really long too. And put in a few apperances at Christmas and New Years. But I can’t wait to try some LimeCrime when I have the cash.

My favourite metallic beauty product is my mini silver lipstick! It’s By Laura Mercier; I have no idea who that is but i love her for creating this. I got it in a bag of old sample products my moms friend gave her. I know it sounds disgusting but it looked unused and make-up is expensive! Plus i wiped off the 1st layer and dabbed it in a peroxide soaked cotton ball and then it was mine. It’s incredibly useful if your creative you can wear it under and over and in between various lip products to create really awesome effects. Or if your feeling bold wear just it and have gorgeous silver lips! Wish me luck because it’d go great with Mirror Mirror which I’m dying to have!

My favorite metallic product has to be Urban Decay’s liquid eyeliner, particularly Gash, which I’ve been using a lot lately, and Radium.
I accidentally bought NARS creme eyeshadow in Savage once (it was in the Zardoz section and I just grabbed it without checking the box!), and it’s pretty sweet, actually – a deep gold, almost bronze.
Also, gunmetal nail polish is the best thing ever. Hard Candy made it (Sex Pistol), but I can’t find it anymore so I find cheaper options like NYC Black Diamonds.
I love all things metallic (and glittery and colorful and… anything goes, really!)!

my favourite metallic product is kryolan aquacolour gold – its so rich and shiny.. wet it and you can paint stars or draw little gold eyelashes under your eyes or apply it dry and it looks like gold leaf on your eyes.. amazing! Also it smells like the theatre make up i used to use when i did make up for all the school productions back when i was a teen!

My favorite metallic product would be Natura Cosmetics pigment in Coppermine. Reason being is I love shimmery, vibrant colors, and especially since I am african american bold colors stands out way better on me. I love the fact that it is a multipurpose item, where as I can wear it as a eyeshadow, lip gloss, blush, nail polish and body glimmer is amazing. Another plus is it stays on all day and doesn’t fade, I wish there were many products made like this especially since I have combination/oily skin.
Since I’m a performer, and a go-go dancer this benefits me a lot. Although I still shop around for around brands because I know many more like this does exit.

My current favourite would be Bobbi brown silver moon limited eyeshadow! It has a wet effect when applied…It is also sparkly which is an extra bonus! With a translucent base it can also be applied over any color to boost its vibrancy…

My favorite metallic….hmmmm i have so many lol but i must say its my blue glitter eye liner/blue mascara duo. I’ve never found any other glitter liners, let alone one with METALLIC blue glitter. A close second fave would have to be another duo, gold and silver glitter mascaras. I wore the silver glitter mascara with one of my random costumes that i sometimes wear just for fun, looks especially awesome with my faeries. Those would have to be my favorites. :)

My favorite metallic make-up is the ‘Cool Cat’ cooling cream eyecolor by maybelline. I actually am not sure if they even make it anymore! I bought a huge supply a few years back when it came out cause I loved it so much and its still lasting me to this day :)

I love the China Glaze nail polish. They have the most beautiful metallic colors alone, or mixed with black or other colors. The mixed colors are a favorite because the colors look different depending on how the light hits, and the angle you look at it. :)

I absolutely love Urban Decay’s Liquid Metal Eyes in Mercury. Sadly it was discontinued years ago. When you apply it wet it literally look like you have mercury on you eyelids. Plus it stays on forever! I actually have to work to get it off. I don’t wear it too often because I’m afraid of running out of it.

I’m liking this eyeshadow from Estee Lauder Signature Silky eyeshadow in 05B Pink dusk, which is more of a dark Gray. It doesn’t look metallic in the case, but on one’s eye, it has a lovely sheen to it. It blends well to and makes a great eyeliner!

I really love metallic colours. I basically love everything that’s shiny :D Apart from the usual golden en silverish matellics I love to use blueish tones too. I have blue metallic eye-liner which I love to death and for the day to day make up I like to use the old gold eyeshadow:MAC wood winked blended with blue with golden reflexes MAC tilt.
I love those lips and those leopard eyes above!

I tried to recreate the first picture with the metallica lips. The gold isn’t as bright, but it’s because I didnt use a bright enough gold.
