Mosh: Circus Time

Category Makeup Tutorials

Photo: X-Processed | Styling: Healing Heart Designs | Model: Mosh

Mosh runs away and joins the circus! She trusts Lime Crime eyeshadows to stay on faithfully, while she performs the fanciest acrobatic tricks under the hot lights. Today, she shares how you can achieve this look too.

INGREDIENTS

Mosh’s look in a few easy steps:

  1. Foundation Primer all over face first! Allow to settle and then apply foundation.
  2. Nymph all over lid, crease, brow bone, and lower lash line.
  3. Brush Lime Criminal all over the lower half of your lid and past the end of your eye, also on the lower lash line, and the outer lower eye region.
  4. Mix Primadonna with a little bit of Vixen to achieve a more magenta tone rather than a pink tone. Brush this mixture onto the upper lid area and the crease, blend into Lime Criminal!
  5. Use a little bit of Pink Poodle on the inner eyelid and blend into the Primadonna/Vixen.
  6. Vixen on the inner lower eye region, blend into Lime Criminal.
  7. Line eyes in a thick cat-eye style, apply Enchant on top of the liner to create a more opaque and color-tinted line. Top off with lashes!
  8. Lips, a mosh-concoction called Naughty Nurse. You can use a medium-brown lipstick with gold shimmer to replicate the look. Voila!

P. S. A Lime Crime/Mosh collaboration is in the works. :)

    That looks fantastic!

I like this, its a more subtle use of the bright colors of limecrime. That makeup style is one that I could see on myself as a fun and bright summer day at the park or something, that wouldn’t be considered over-the-top or dramatic for conservative little Minnesota. It really shows the versatility of this line, for sure.

  • Simone says:

Doe, this reminds me of the make-up you wore for the promo pictures for your music CD :)

I agree with Natalie… it’s dramatic and unusual, but in a subtle sort of way (I’d probably skip the cat-eye lines for everyday wear, tho). :3 Can’t wait to see the awesome collab, Doe! ^^

Love the pink and green combo, but I must admit I’m not a fan of the lipstick in this one. Why ruddy brown for such a fresh, exuberant look? I think it’s a little overpowering — but hey, there’s a reason why you girls are the makeup artists, and Mosh is too cute no matter what. :]

  • leah says:

doe my deer, could you please recommend a liquid eyeliner with a felt tip, for someone with quite sensitive eyes?
i’ve always used pencil liners before, and i’m constantly annoyed at the black lines that accumulate under my eyes when i do.
i’m not too comfortable with the brush liners, but i’m interested in felt tips. are they easier to use?
    thanks!
also, this look is lovely, very fresh and pretty.

I really like the make-up! I’ll try it out someday, but I think I’ll change the pink for something else. I’m not pretty in pink…

  • Zaruba says:

I love pink and green! It reminds me of Strawberry Short Cake!

  • Kate says:

I love everything except for the choice of color on the lips. The muddy water color doesn’t seem to go with anything else.

  • Becca Love says:

Xenia your makeup is AWESOME! After Mosh put it in, I didn’t believe it was a loose powder because it was packed with so much pigment! It’s not as bright in the photos as the lighting was edited on the shots. I thought it was Kryolan wet shadow in person:)

There’s a dress=up game inspired by this look
