New York Couture show tomorrow!

Category Weekly Glee

I look forward to this event every year and wouldn’t miss it for the world. New York Couture fashion shows are the most colorful, most visually entertaining in New York!

If you are not familiar with New York Couture, I highly recommend you check them out – it’s a colorful, inexpensive line that even Katy Perry is a fan of. Designer Cassie is a candyfuturistic brain twin of mine who likes everything bright, extreme, and girly. I am especially excited for this year’s show because Lime Crime is a VIP sponsor – free giftbags for the first 100 guests, yay! Ultraviolet Sound are playing too – all the more reason to be there! But the best part is that this is the only Fashion Week show that is FREE (click here for details)!

See you all there! Now to figure out what to wear that tops Katy’s high-rise sequin hot pants…

  • Jessica says:

That is such a vibrant collection!!! I wonder what the PTA would think if I showed in in ones of those outfits; might be worth it!

  • Autumn says:

Looks fun! Wish I were there. I hope you post lots of pictures.

  • Belinda says:

Sounds like an awesome show, and I would love to be able to go! (Too bad I’m down in Texas, heh.)

    But… I’m going to have to disagree with you that those clothes are inexpensive. ^^;;

Ultraviolet Sound seems like a cool band, gonna go check them out.

  • Belinda says:

New York Couture does have gorgeous photography on their website, though. *_*

  • Rachael says:

Have fun! I wish I had some awesome couture party lined up to go to here in L.A.!

I guess some it can be sort of pricey. But still, seeing how most designers charge $300 for dresses they made a million of, same price for a one-of-a-kind doesn’t seem so bad!

  • Kat A says:

i’m stuck in texas as well, belinda. i’ll be living in nyc next year though, so maybe i can make it then. :D

  • Jenny says:

It looks like a great time, but I’m only 16! *shakes fist* Curses! Foiled again!

  • Noelle says:

Wow sounds like it’s going to bee a great time. I absolutely love their jumpers

  • Pinksky86 (Jackie) says:

Man, I wish I could go…I’d love one of those gift bags, and it looks like an awesome event. But once again I’m in California and not able to be in New York. Have fun and I look forward to lots of pictures!! =)

  • Jo says:

Very cool stuff. I love their panda and owl jumpers.
I may have to invest in a panda one…

  • Sera says:

Wow, wish I could be there to see it.

Seems like something I would absolutely LOVE!

We don’t have anything like that here. D8

You’ll have to make a post about it so that those of us who can’t attend can still sort of be there. <3

    Have FUN! 8D

    Ultraviolet Sound is going to be there!!! I wish I lived closer! D;

  • Belinda says:

@ Doe Deere: Yeah, good point.

@ Kat A: Ooh, where in Texas are you? And that’s awesome that you’re going to be living in NYC. :D

  • Rosie says:

Yet another reason to live in New York when I am an adult!

  • Rickey says:

I can’t believe– you know, I was BORN in New York. I was BORN THERE!!! But we moved before I turned even 1 year old and I haven’t been there since. It’s a pain, really, having to put New York in on all those forms for school and hospital and stuff, and I don’t feel like I’ve ever even BEEN there. Ah, well. Someday. Maybe for your 29th Birthday fairy tale picnic! ;)

  • Oh, god, I’m an avowed country girl, but this is one drawback; nothing like this! Lucky girl. I guess I’ll just continue to live vicariously through you for now! I expect pictures!

  • frifri says:

I just wanted to let you know this was a really weird place to find your face:

Oh god. Just so you know, I do not endorse Aveeno products, never tried them, and am in no association with them. It’s an awful practice to steal someone’s photo and then dupe people into thinking the person is wearing their product. *cringe*

Thanks for letting me know, I’ll try to get them to take it down. I the meanwhile, I’ll laugh at how distorted it is, haha.

  • Rose Lane says:

    I wish I could go!

  • Susan says:

  • Jill says:
