A recent study showed that Thursday is the ‘angriest day on Twitter’ – more dissatisfied tweets than ever are likely to appear in your feed on Thursday. Truth be told, there are plenty websites to get your dose of negative information, and Doe Deere Blogazine is not one of them! Today’s post is a list of seemingly ordinary things that have a magical ability to make me happy on a daily basis, and have been quietly charging me with positive energy lately. Everybody has such things – a bracelet you slip on that reminds you of someone you love; a mug that conjures a happy memory… Here are mine!

Oh, and my new yellow duvet from IKEA – only $30 but oh, so much glee!

I just ran up to Mark and tried #10. Ran away. He is still in shock.
Makeup is a somewhat ordinary thing that makes me really happy. I only recently started having the guts to wear super bright colors in public, and now I lovee it! Centrifuschia, in particular, makes me really happy :)
Music, too- a song can totally turn my mood around. Wearing dresses. Bright glittery nail polish. I’m sure there’s more, but I’m half-awake haha.
Turkish delight! Have you tried any of the perfumes that smell like this candy? Loukhoum Eau de Parfum by Keiko Mecheri is my number one perfume lemming right now.

1. Getting packages in the mail. I know that they’re coming, but I get excited every single time.
2. Mascara. I am enjoying the Falsies as well at the moment.
3. Kittens. My kitten Arthur is currently sitting on my foot looking adorable.
4. Lookbook.nu. It’s full of fabulous people who dress better than I do. :)
5. The Horrors. Oh, how I love them so!
6. The sound of bracelets jingling.
I’m so glad you posted this, because I am – I mean, was – having my own angry Thursday!! ;)
1 – I have six pets, but I will lump them together here. :) But they really do melt away all the hurt, sadness, and frustration. They are the lights of my life. When I come home after a bad day and they are all scrambling at once to see me, I can’t stay in a bad mood.
2 – Thinking about my upcoming wedding makes me insanely happy. So does looking at my dress. Sometimes I just unzip the bag and look for a moment and smile. No Bridezilla here. It’s gonna be a big, fun celebration!
3 – Lime Crime lippies. I still keep all 10 in my purse with me at all times, and some days when I’m not even wearing makeup, I’ll just look at all my tubes and smile.
4 – Getting new comments on our “the closet narcissist” blog makes me REALLY giddy!! I love reading them!!!
5 – Seeing my toenails painted in e.l.f.’s Mint Cream. Every time I look down, I feel retro and cool.
6 – Flashing back to our recent beach vacation. Looking at photos makes me feel more serene.
7 – Getting mail. Packages, letters, cards, catalogs, I don’t really care; I just love getting things.
8 – Blasting Joy Williams and The Avett Brothers in my car and singing along at the top of my lungs!
9 – When my fiancee pulls me close to lean on him while we’re just watching TV. It’s a simple, sweet gesture that lets me know (as if I didn’t already) that he just likes being around me.
10 – My e.l.f. Mineral Mascara. I have not had even ONE bad lash day since I started using it!! It surpasses anything else I’ve tried.

The one ting that makes me insanely happy is snail mail, which is so rare these days. But if i get a personal letter, a purchase or a catalogue in the mail I am a super happy girl for the rest of the day. Also, posts like this make me happy on even the most depressing days.
