Mouse over :)
Yes, it’s true!
Pop Romance collection is finally available for purchase, along with the rest of the out-of-stock colors, which are now vegan-friendly! All of you who have been waiting for Cosmopop, D’Lilac, My Beautiful Rocket, etc, they’re all back on the site!!!
Today is a special day at the L.C. HQ. It’s a quiet celebration on both coasts, and even Brazil (thanks for holding down the fort, Nanda!). We are grateful for the opportunity to create the cosmetics we love and having your support in spreading our message of happiness, self-expression and individuality.
I would like to extend special thanks to our wonderful lab, New Look Cosmetics, for tirelessly working with me on the reformulation and theĀ Pop Romance shades in the past 6 months. These guys, who have helped develop cosmetics for many brands you know and love, have been incredibly supportive of us from the start. Thank you, Luci and Yasmin, for making my dreams come true — time and again!
Love always,
Doe A. Deere

OMGOSH* I can’t wait until the package arrive! I’m so exited about the lipstick “Mint To Be”, because It’s the first “mint” colour lipstick on Earth. I’ll use this lipstick for my photoshoot :D
When do we get swatches of the lipsticks on medium/olive skin tones? I’d like to have an idea of what it looks like before I buy!

so exciting! i just bought “Mint To Be” as well as “Airborne Unicorn” and “No She Didn’t”. i can’t wait to try them out especially since all of the reviews i read were written by people with light skin. im native american and greek so i have a pretty olive skin tone and can’t wait to see how the lipsticks will look on me!
oh, and a quick question: are you still going to be releasing an eyeliner collection? :D

Yes, the eyeliners are progressing along very well, we are expecting them to be out in the summer :)
I’m in love with your lipsticks!!! MORE COLORS PLEASE!!! Oh and my mom is hooked too, she just stole my ‘great pink planet’ :)
Lol, that picture made me think I needed to clean my contacts for a second! These colors look so pretty and unique, can’t wait to see them in person! :)
Check out my blog: Principessa Gabriella
OOOooooOOOOoooh man, I am sooo buying these colors when I get paid on Friday!! Damn!!
My sister is buying me some of your makeup as a birthday present and I couldn’t be more excited. As soon as i have the money I’m buying everything doe!!!! can’t wait
I’ve never in my life worn a crazy lip color, but I am totally lusting after Mint To Be, soo gorgeous! Definitely ordering Coquette too…and maybe Countessa Flourescent…payday totally needs to come sooner haha.
I really love coquette but I am not too sure if my light olive Asian complexion can pull it off. I would love to see the other colors and different swaths of skin tones too. I’ve ordered your lipstick for friends but I might be tempted to order coquette for myself. :)
Do you sell anywhere in Sydney, Australia? You know how many sales you would have here hahas?

Try makeupnet and crush cosmetics!
I’m dying my hair dark brown again and I’ve clipped my bangs Bettie Page style, but a little longer, more high fashion, and it makes my light skin pop, as well as any highly pigmented lipstick I wear. I’m excited to finally be able to purchase No She Didn’t, and hopefully Mint To Be. I have been eying Cosmopop lately though and I think it’s been eying me right back. :O
Ooh! I’m gonna have to save up to buy Mint to be!! :D Aeriously can’t wait!!
Doe, could you write a post about nail polish. How to apply, what brands you like, nail care etc. i’m having al ot of trouble lately
I cant wait to try coquette also i heard you are doing eyeliners is this true because i would love to try those and what colours will they be in im hoping for a purple one :)
Where are all the pictures of these lipsticks (swatched)? The promo pics are great, but I’d love to see you wearing it and maybe some unretouched pictures of these so I can get a better idea what they look like–especially Mint to Be!

Off topic, but I thought I should share.

I hope you’re having a beautiful day!
I have a question, which is:
Why should we buy your lipsticks instead of OCC Lip tars? They are cheaper, the quality is AMAZING, they can be mixed and create a new color, they are vegan, they last really long, they apply smoothly and they have the colors you offer and even more.
I’m really curious to know what your lipstick offers more than OCC Lip Tars…
(I sound like an hater but I’m not! Just really straight forward)

Hi Adriana, I think it’s very natural to compare cosmetics and this is a legitimate question.
These two products, while accomplishing the same end result — bright, opaque lips — are very different in nature. Tars are a liquid lip color, meaning they contain more oils than wax. The advantage is spreadability, but you do need a brush to apply (excellent if you’re a makeup artist). LC lippies are more ‘user-friendly’, you can’t mess it up even as a first-time lipstick user. They are also more convenient. I love nothing better than pulling out my little mirror and touching up lipstick in public — I find it very glamorous! From the formulation standpoint, lipsticks generally tend to have a longer shelf life, where as glosses tend to separate with time.
All in all, I think both products are great and have a place in the makeup world. It all depends on what you want!

Just to add my two cents to Doe’s reply: I’ve been debating between Lip Tars and Lime Crime recently too, because I really wanted a true orange and a nude, and both company’s have exactly the right colors (and are vegan and cruelty free, very important to me).
I ended up with Lime crime for a few reasons (though i do want to try Lip Tars eventually as well). A big one is the packaging and messiness issue. I don’t want to have to carry around a lip brush in my purse, and get my fingers messy, and I’ve heard of Lip Tars bursting (I’m sure this doesn’t happen often though). Lipstick is just more convenient.
I’m also a huge sucker for packaging, and I’m willing to pay a little more for something cute that makes me happy to look at every day. Also, Lip Tars may be cheaper but the shipping was a few dollars more, and as I was only getting two it evened out.
And, finally, I had money in my paypal account I wanted to use and OCC doesn’t take paypal.
Oh how i wish Limecrime would be available in the Philippines. I admire your bold approach on lipstick colors. I was having a hard time looking for a candy colored lipsticks in our country, and then I found your site!
