My recent interview with Quail Bell magazine – who managed to make every question about fairy tales! :)

THIS – We need more people with a pro-active approach to their dreams, who believe that IMPOSSIBLE reads “I’M POSSIBLE.”
I need this reminder on my mirror every morning…
Cute interview! :) Also, I really like your hair that length. I know a woman from Germany and she always comments on how women in the United States insist on having long hair when it is considered juvenile in Europe. I’m not sure if that is true but it made me laugh. I do like shorter hair styles though.
Have a great day!
That fat little pink quail so freakin cute. I can’t even deal with his little puffy chest, awww. Great interview too, haha.

I have to say that Hans Christen is my favorite too! Especially the one where he is a shoemaker, I totally forgot the name….wait it’ll come to me…
Hehe, I decided to answer a few of the questions as well, I’m pretending it’s an online survey…
What is it about the fairytale world that fascinates you the most? Why?
I was always interested in fairytales and books as a child, preferring to be lost in the fantasies between the pages rather than real life. When I wandered the Forest and had a vision of my future, I started to walk the beaten path in the woods and realized I was like a fairytale maiden…
There is a quote on your site that reads, “Ariel Grimm’s The Forest storyblog is like the fairytale book of the blogosphere.” When you read that–what is it saying to you? What does being a “fairytale book” entail?
My life is my own fairytale story, I can relate to the inner quest the protaganists of many ledgends embark on…. My blog is like an enchanted book that can be read by anyone in the world through the magic of the internet. I feel like even though my story has humble begginings, I will have a “rags to riches” transformation that my readers will be amazed at as they dig through the archives. I write about my personal life in a segment called “True Fairytales” I also like to write about how readers can live the forest/fairytale life for themselves by showing them how to brew potions, craft spells, and realize the magic within each and every one of us!
You’re also a fairytale rock afficinado. Can you describe what that genre is for our readers? What was it about that music that pulled you in?
I discovered the fairytale rock genre when I read about it on Doe Deere’s blog. I then decided to listen only to music of this description. Emilie Autumn, Bambee, Woodland, Magic Wands, Tiggy, Sky Salt, Doe Deere and more bands would fit under this description.
What advice would you give others who are trying to get into the fairytale world and be successful?
Believe in yourself and read any and all fairytales you can. Read Gala Darling’s article on how to dress with the essence of fairytales. Read Doe Deere blogazine. Carry yourself with grace, magic and speak eloquently. Follow your life’s dream… Rescue the prince or princess, save the castle in the sky and aim high!
Do you have a favorite fairytale? Why is it your favorite?
Cap O Rushes, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Stardust are my current favorite fairytales. I love the work of the Brother’s Grimm and Hans Christen Anderson the most! I devour any and all modern re-tellings of fairytales!
What do you think needs to be done in order for the fairytale world to continue to expand and touch lives?
Everyone living the fairytale life needs to reach out and connect with each other, so we can start the awesome new subculture of the 10′s!!!

Yay! I knew this would be right up your alley!! :D
This is a really fab interview! Insightful, concise but informative of the brand and above all inspiring as always! Well Done.
“If you want a child to be intelligent read them stories, if you want them to be really intelligent read them MORE stories” That’s what my first college tutor said to me and I carry this spirit always! He also said that I was ‘All fur coat and no knickers’ which I took to mean that I am superficial and spent the rest of my education doing conceptual work! Today I have returned to my decorative heart and I also long to do more illustration, I think illustrating children’s books would be mega rewarding!!!
Loved the interview.
