Well, as late as I am in finding this story, I love responding to your questions anyway. Plus, I absolutely ADORE flea markets and swap meets. I just went to the Pasadena City College Swap Meet last Sunday and picked up some very cool stuff: an Eastern Star teacup (I am not an Eastern Star, but my great grandmother was, and I love items with stories), A GORGEOUSLY hand-embroidered strawberry doily from Belgium (circa 1930s), some adorable silver post earrings that look like robots, with tiny crystal eyes, and two tres beautiful pairs of shoes for $10 apiece. I could not help but go into description.
Anyhoo, as you can probably see, I don't limit myself with what I buy at swap meets, except by price and quantity. I don't think there is anything I wouldn't buy secondhand that I would buy new. I rarely go looking for a specific thing- that takes away half the fun. In the past, I've bought everything from a sewing machine to sequin earrings from the '80s to a Lily Ann Dress Suit (score!). <3

Hm,this is kind of an old story, but I must comment anyway!
I remember one of my old 6th grade teachers, and his wife had the greatest names: Mr. White, and she kept her name, becoming Mrs. Black. It was great!

I hit thrift stores if I'm in the mood to rummage...I usually look for tops and pants and sometimes bags. I love looking through antique stores for 1960's-80's jewelry (my FAVORITE!)
also yard sales for vintage home decor and jewelry. I draw the line at used undies and socks, though.
check out these AWESOME boots I found at a yard sale for $0.50!!!

Dear Doe,

How are you styling your hair? It's so gorgeous in these photos! Are you blow drying? What kind of styling products are you using? Do you use a curler or anything?

Thanks,

A.
