I have a confession to make: I adore Tarina Tarantino. Then again, this doesn’t come as a surprise seeing how all of her stuff is covered in bows & jewels! Last Saturday I got to meet her in person at the book signing in Soho.

My outfit was a hit; I got interviewed by a couple people and had my picture taken many times. She was a real sweetheart and wrote a looong message in my book. She also seemed very interested in my makeup line (omg!) and insisted that she purchase it fair and square even though I offered to send it to her for free.
Who do I run into at the signing? None other than the international blogging sensation Gala Darling! We hung out in the store drinking pink lemonade out of pink martini glasses.

Afterwards Gala and I went accessory-shopping. At Girl Props, Gala got herself a pair or rad sunglasses and I found a bunch of candyfuturistic accessories – pictures soon! Then we both got kicked out of a cab. Wouldn’t be the first time, hehe. Last time in a cab with Amy of Vant, we scared the driver by talking non-stop about vaginas & clitoral piercings. Hey, sometimes things need to be discussed!
Fast-forward to 6 pm: I was on my way to meeting my friend Shien for dinner when I spied a girl with really striking haircut sitting on the stairs. As if her hair wasn’t cool enough, she was holding the tiniest, most adorable pup I’ve ever seen. This girl, as you may have guessed, was Agyness Deyn.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Agyness is a famous British supermodel and an extremely influencial contemporary style icon. I admire her more than words can express. I politely confirmed who she was and we chit-chatted a bit. She even complemented me on my makeup and took my card – I almost died!!
So, just like that I met two of my idols in one day.

A day like that, so full of stars and love and wondefulness, might have been too much for me! Agyness Deyn and Tarina Tarantino and Gala all in one twenty four hour period- damn, let’s just say I’m jealous, ha.

And Agyness is wonderful! I just love her look and style. If I wasn’t saving my hair for the moment it would go to that style!
And honestly, I would be completly star-struck if I ever met an idol like that ^^

As for me: if I ever met any of my idols, I would probably act like a total dork. LOL. Actually that’s already happened – the times I have met/talked to people I idolized, I totally embarrassed myself in front of them, cringe when I think back on it, and hope they don’t remember me. ;.;
I’m terribly jealous of your being in New York. There’s always something amazing going on there! You and Gala are actually my big dreamboats right now and I likely would have fainted if I’d been at Tarina’s shindig. You look fabulous, as always. Looking forward to more pics! :3
I really wished I lived in New York! I’ve always wanted to hang out with you and go to your birthday party, but I live in Louisiana. If I could meet someone, I have a few music personas in mind, but most of all, I’d like to meet YOU! You’re pretty much everything I’d like to be. ^_^ plus, I’m in LOVE with your makeup and style. Retro wedding dresses? Hells yes. And I’m really in love with shoes. :D That hummingbird outfit is MADE of glee. I kinda want to steal it. :) You know what would be cool? I normally prefer avant garde fashion but
I like Victoria Beckham. I know she has a lot of backlash but she always looks fierce and sexy. I don’t know what I would say if I ever met her. Probably ignore who she is and just talk to her like a regular person.

I “know” so many gals whose styles I admire (yay for the power of the internet!)–I’d have a hard time just picking one! ;) I dare say, the fantastic Fleur de Guerre is my style icon though. She has the most enviable vintage inspired wardrobe and amazing makeup and hair styling skills! I think I’d be speechless if we ever met. :)

I met my style icon, even though she really doesn’t have a style per se…>.> But when I met her, the first time I acted like a dork! The second time I was a little more graceful, the third time I got a KISS! ^_^_^_^ and the fourth time I gave her my hat, and showed off my nifty artwork based on her music. I love Amanda Palmer, and it was just an amazing thing to get to see her so many times ^_^.
If I met you Doe, I’d probably ask you out for coffee or something to that effect, and we’d chit chat, and such. Mark and my boyfriend can talk to each other for boy time while we girl talk. But I love your style ^_^ I”m trying to get more creative in my teaching clothes, cause I don’t want to be that bland teacher with bland clothing.
P.S. I’m gonna send you some photos from my Harry Potter Costume with Lime Crime eyeshadow galore! I did something to the effect of a Bellatrix/Slytherin look with curly hair ;)
I love and am inspired by two (well, three, technically) very separate celebs. First, I’ve always loved the Olsen twins and their sense of style. I love their disheveled put-togetherness, their flowly dresses, and bag lady sweaters, their rockin’ shoes, boots and sandals, and of course, their perfect long, wavy, hippie hair and make-up. Second, I think Sandra Bullock has had a great quiet style for years. She always looks great, always a little bit natural, and everything she wears allows “Sandy” to shine through. Love, love, love.

I met a woman I admired last year, Tairrie B. She was beautiful and incredibly sweet.
Oh my Gosh! That is so neat that you got to meet them, and SO neat that Tarina bought your makeup line and Agyness took your card– I would be super-excited as well! I would say I’m proud of you except that I don’t suppose I had much of an effect on your success. I’m still proud of you. Yay!
The two people whose styles I admire most are yourself (duh, why do you think I check this thing every day?) and Gwen Stefani. If I ever met either of you, I don’t think I would be able to say much of anything, although I might fall on my knees and sing out to the stars. Gwen somehow or another inspired me to have bangs for a while, made me realize in one picture in Seventeen before I ever listened to her music that plaid and leopard could work together (which opened a whole new world of possibilities for me: cue disney music!), and is the root of the reason that my lips are a tres gorgey red right now. She also inspires me to write and sing my music every day, because she’s just that cool. If I ever met you, it would take serious effort on my part to refrain myself from carrying out the storyline of the White Stripes song, Take, Take, Take. Which you should go listen to right now, if you don’t know extraordinarily well, as it is quite fabulous. The other people whose styles I admire I am fortunate enough to know, inclusive of my dearest Emma Dahling and my Fizzy Izzy. yay!

That first picture of the rainbow across the models face is just downright awesome. I think I may like Tarina Tarantino now, too! I would LOVE to do some photography with ridiculous makeup like that.
