Auxiliary Magazine
, February 2010

When I was doing an interview with Auxiliary magazine, I didn’t expect to make the cover. Even though it’s my second one (first cover was with Lipstick Royalty), it’s always a mixed feeling of excitement and extreme humility. It makes you wonder, is what I’m going really that noteworthy?

One look at the photos from the collaboration between Emma Bell, Steve Prue and Kristin Jackson, and it becomes clear that it’s not me. It’s the team. With a group of talented people like this, how can you lose? I have been extremely fortunate to befriend and work with some of the best talent in the industry: models, makeup & hair artists, photographers, clothing and accessory designers. One thing all these people have in common is they are passionate about their craft and will plow through snow, rain, black ice, severe illness, just to make the shoot. They’ll be there, and deliver stellar results on top.

I wanted to thank everybody who has collaborated and supported Lime Crime throughout the years. I would like to especially thank bloggers and publications – it means equally a lot to me to see Lime Crime on the pages of Nylon magazine as it does in a small blog mention! This month, a lot of good press is coming out about LC, which I cannot wait to share. In the meanwhile, I would love for you to read the February issue of Auxiliary magazine which, aside from my interview, also features a review of the Tim Burton exhibit at MoMA, a no-sew DIY guide, Emma Bell, Lovesick Corsets, Shrinkle, and much much more.

Love,
