Not pictured: hot pink cuckoo clock, Xmas ornaments: cupcake, ice-cream, cake and even a unicorn, all courtesy of my sister. Unicorn/carousel brooch, toy persians, and a lot of random/cute accessories. I also got some wonderful gifts from my readers – cards, sewing trims, a whole set of golden unicorn buttons. Thank you, I love you all very much!
Coming up this week: a double post from my husband & partner-in-(Lime)-Crime, Mark about surviving in the unicorn house. His candid take on the rainbow madness surrounding him every day, as well as tips on how you can convince your significant other that colorful living could be for you!
Nice loot! Isn’t the book FANTABULOUS?! I’m fortunate to have a fairy godmother in movie/TV costuming who bestowed many of her fashion books on me ^-^ Very excited to hear from Mark!

I can’t wait for Mark’s post…I’m moving in with my BF and his brother in the summer time so this is perfect timing. I will have a few months to work on them about turning their white apartment (or at least one room of it) into a Gothic sanctuary.

PS I’m also quite curious to see Mark’s post. i already know how my husband feels about living in a technicolour world and trust me, he doesn’t have it easy lol so i hope yours likes it more;)

I’m taking a wild guess, but the clock Doe has looks just like Gin & Tonic’s Kevin Cuckoo Clock from the past “Queen of Hearts” collection. You can go to their site and ask for stockists that carry them here in the states and then contact those stores and see if they still have it.

P.S. Expect the clock (if it’s in stock) to be on the more expensive side. It’s handmade from wood and painted in acrylic which means $$$$. It might be on par with traditional cuckoo clocks from Bavaria (aka Cuckoo Clock Capital of the World as it was the place the cuckoo clock first appears and my birthplace). Simple ones start at a few hundred dollars and more elaborate ones can get into the thousands!

One of my fave things I got was a heart-shaped egg shaper, with a matching red spatula. :D I also got a pair of Lady GaGa’s headphones, HeartBeats, and a miniature sewing kit; so cute.
As for rainbow living…naw. My boy and I have similar taste when it comes to interior design; modern/futuristic, muted but detailed, dark colors and mirrors with silver highlights throughout.
I got my friend one of those 3d unicorn journals for Christmas. XP

OH MY GOD I WANT THAT CLOCK. SOOOO BAD. I have had a strange desire for a cuckoo clock for quite some time now and that is the cutest one I have ever seen!! The rest of your presents are adorable and perfect, too. That sweater is yummy and reminds me of candy!
I got some really nice xmas gifts, too. My favorites were a bass guitar + amp (!) and a brand-new Astronaut Barbie from 1985!! SOOO COOL. She has the most amazing outfit.. sparkly magenta pantsuit that converts into a miniskirt, with these huge puffy sleeves. Check out a picture of her at the bottom of my post here! <3
