Also Leandra goes up to my cheekbones when we were barefoot and I'm 5'3" so she can't be taller than 5'0" so it's quite apparant to those who know her she is LYING! I don't know why she'd feel the need to lie but the girl is miniscule. I have freakisly tiny hands but mine look like those of a giant beside hers. I'm still sickened by this whole thing.

I'm 5'2", and I wish I were taller.

Your point about being able to relate to children better is so true! I was taking a class as relief teacher once, and my students thought that I was twelve.

However, I hate being short because there are very few clothes or shoes that fit! My shoe size is a teeny tiny 4, and that means that I have to wear shoes from the children's department (ie. no heels! Argh!)

I just came across this post, and I LOVE it! I'm a perfect 4'11'' and people in my school bug me about it all the time but I always hold my head high and tell them "I love my height, you seem to bee the only one with a problem with it". Good things do come in smaller packages!

This post is rather old but I'll leave a comment anyway. I'm pretty average, I think. A friend of mine however definitely is short. She's maybe 1 1/2 heads smaller than me and 2 heads smaller than her boyfriend (if they kiss she stands on her toes and he still bends his head down). But she rocks. Sure, she has to shorten all sleeves, long skirts and trousers, but she really knows what she's doing on that sewing machine so that's no problem at all. As she does martial arts her legs and feet are very well trained so she can walk whole days secure on really high heels which make her look elegant instead of short and adult instead of simply cute.
