I promised to write in detail about how I do my skin. Well, here we go! I clean my skin first with Wet Ones wipes (or sometimes babywipes), then apply moisturizer. After a minute or so I put a couple drops of liquid foundation onto a sponge and cover the entire face to even out the complexion. Liquid foundation provides light, non-cakey coverage suitable for everyday make-up. I use Paula Dorf Magic Stick to cover the under-eye circles and then finish with transluscent powder, applied with a large powder brush. Now your ‘canvas’ is ready to be painted on!

Blush is an important part of this look. I used a bright pink shade (Milani’s Mango Tango) and applied with a brush, kind of streaming out of my eyes and out towards the temples. Then with an ivory-white eyeshadow (or a shimmer highlighter would work too) I highlighted the inner part of cheeks, like shown above.

I got the feather lashes at a beauty store locally but I think you can also get them on eBay. Apply foundation over your eyelids. Put 2 coats of black mascara top and bottom lashes. Line inner rim with turquoise eyeliner pencil (I didn’t have that particular color so I mixed green and blue pencils). I used peacock-green (dark teal)
eyeshadow to cover the entire upper lid (if you have Asian eyes, try approximating one) as well as well as lower lid. With a large eyeshadow brush apply turquoise blue under the brows, extending the color upwards and into the hairline.

To give eyes depth and definition, try blending in black eyeshadow into the outer corners and crease, which by the way is above where natural crease would be. Don’t overdo the black; use just enough to darken the green. Now take apple green and blend a tiny bit in under the eyebrows and inner eye corner. This should make the colors really pop!

I use with sea-green glitter for this look, which was applied on top and lower lid. Dab some hand lotion with a tip of your finger on where you want the glitter and apply it with a brush while the surface is still sticky. Use scotch tape to clean up any glitter on your cheeks. Liquid liner is applied last and extended outwards for the false lashes. Stick the falsies on top of eyeliner. Using the same eye lash glue, apply the blue feathers on outer corners of the eyes.

I extended the natural brow outwards and a little upwards with a gray pencil and drew on little ‘feathers’ on top. Quite bird-like, isn’t it?

For lips, I used a mix of eyeshadows dabbed over a chapstick base. I drew on the stripe down the center with a thin brush, using black cream liner. Voila!
