When JoEllen and I get together, magic happens. Whether we’re customizing latex mermaid tails, talking about fairy wings or simply sipping pink lemonade in her kitchen, the outcome is guaranteed to be whimsical. Last week we decided to create the ultimate fantasy photoshoot: JoEllen made the dress, I modeled, Mark took the pictures, and we created the set together. The result is an amalgam of all our favorite 80s fantasy movies such as Labyrinth, Legend, and Dark Crystal.
My costume was inspired by Queen Serenity from Sailor Moon, complete with big puffed sleeves and an oversized bow on the back resembling wings. I think this is my favorite shoot I’ve ever done so far because it captures my essence so perfectly. Check out more of JoEllen’s costuming work & blog here.
