Deerlings: what are your vacation makeup essentials? What do you skip?

I just visited Lime Crime website…
(and loved the looks)
Here in Brazil, we’re on winter, so I’m betting on the oranges and purple (although I have ordered No She Didnt this weekend)
On summer, I’ll probably wear Cosmopop everyday!!!
Hate wearing eye makeup during summer, too hot. Also, foundation and such. Lipstick is the best! Love the new look, btw!!! :D

Agreed, I’m always super-lazy with my eyes when it’s hot out. Lipstick is just so much easier!
When on vacation, I love to just wear mascara. Sure it doesn’t make me feel glam, but I don’t feel over done. I think this year I’ll add some lip gloss to the mix, since I only have red lipstick haha!
Love and Turtledoves,
Jaco
I love that the Lime Crime website is going to have features like this, I was really inspired by the Marie Antoinette look!
Well in Uruguay now it’s winter, but on summer I keep it really simple, little or no eye make up, maybe just some liner, rosy cheeks (natural, since I don’t need blush) and my favourite gloss… Peachy golden, smells amazing and lasts for hours!
Ooh, the Centrifuschia looks amazing on her, I’m definitely gonna get that when I’m a little more tan.
I won’t lie, I’m totally one of those people that wears too much makeup to the baech. But I am gonna try to cut back this year- mineral foundation, a little waterproof liner and mascara, and tinted lip balm or gloss. I go to New Jersey to visit my family every summer, and it’s so hot and humid there that too much makeup feels gross and gets messy.
I’m always out in the heat during the summer so my summer essentials consist of lip gloss/chapstick with SPF along with a super bright nail polish for on the beach and a peachy blush. I also normally bring along clear mascara so if I go in the water, it doesn’t smudge.
Also, completely unrelated, but what happened to the Twilight magic dust?? I was planning on buying some and just looked and it’s not on the website…

It’s being reformulated – it will be back in a couple months. :)
The lipstick and crimped hair on Sam is just amazing! my essentials – powder/foundation, pink lipstick (I thought it was just me who used it as a blush as well!) and lots of waterproof mascara.
Summer makeup is kinda hard isnt it?I tend to think-Is it melting, how do i look like, why is that man/woman/dog staring at me….lol.So the essential for me here is the packet mirror ;)
Waterproof stuff is the best friend in the summer.
And oh,i skip foundation i cant breathe under it when its hot

Haha, you’re a riot. :)) Yeah, foundations can be difficult to wear in the summer… I always go for something light, like the loose mineral stuff. Come to think of it, even sunscreen can make you skin ‘suffocate’ after a while – when I get home, I always take it off immediately.
love it!
my makeup essentials are moisturizer, concealer, chapstick, and some lip gloss!
I only go all out with make up if I’m going out to a party or club, otherwise I go pretty natural.
Waterproof Masacara and SPF Face powder foundation are my essentials!
I always need concealer for my dark circles that I’ve had forever, and in addition mascara.
In the summer I make sure I’ve got my water/smudge proof eyeliner, and kiss me mascara. And of course some spf lipbalm under any sticks or glosses.
tinted moistureizer with spf, sunscreen powder, waterproof or clear mascara, a peachy blush and a pretty lippy or lipglass from MAC most likely money honey <3
I just saw this on “Toon Trendz” tumblr haha. Wasn’t sure how to post~ this :)

Hahaha!
During the summer, since I am still a youthful teenager (haha), I tend to go to a lot of summer camps. Since make-up attracts insects, which I hate with a passion, I tend to skip on a lot of it. I usually just were a mineral foundation to help with my oily skin, lots of sunscreen, and a coat or two of waterproof mascara. :D

Very smart, Melly!
Powder, concealer at times (I break out most in the summer because of Houston’s humid weather!), eyeliner, mascara, and blush. I smudge colored eyeliner like Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners, so I have my colored eyes, but not heavy with eyeshadow. I don’t need mascara, but it helps my eyelashes stay together in the heat, they get really heavy in the humidity. Other than that, its au naturale!

Great tip, Melinda! I too prefer to keep my eye makeup minimal in the summer, save the eyeliner which is an essential.
I personally only wear moisturizer, sunscreen, mascara ( water proof) and some lip gloss ( colored) unless I’m going out on the town, then I’ll put my whole face on.
On holidays I normally wear a light touch of eyeshadow and mascara and some bronzer (If it isn’t too hot :D) I don’t ususally wear much eyeliner or foundation. I just put a little bit of translucent powder on my cheeks so they don’t get too sticky! :D
Well I was in Greece last week on vacation and it was suuuper hot. I brought a huge case os makeup but I only used powder, mascara and lipgloss. I think what you really need is a good moisturizer for your face. Oh, and and Vichy’s thermal water spray is a must, I love it! :)

If it’s dry heat, moisturizer is a must! Here in NY it’s 90% humidity heat, so for us it’s all about blotting tissue and oil-absorbing powders!

Not for everyone. :) It depends on your skin type. My skin is always on the more dry side of normal so even in the humid summers of New England I still need to wear moisturizer daily.
Urban Decay 24/7 Black Eyeliner.
You can take it in your carry on and look fabulous every day with minimal effort. I also always carry some Carmex with me for harsh summer days and since I live in Florida I use it at least once every day.
My summer makeup essentials are: moisturizer, sunscreen (I love Clinique’s City Block spf 40), concealer where I need it, blush, dusting of mineral powder, lip gloss/lipstick.
I also wear 50spf sunscreen on my body if I am going to be outside for any amount of time. I’m pale so I burn very easily.

When the weather is hot I use potato flour instead of powder :D

On the face it’s transparent ;) You just need a little bit of that :D
I used Centrifuschia as blush today after reading this tutorial, it was lovely! Was worried it would be too bright, but it blended really easily, and created a lovely subtle, dewy look. Great tip!

Yay! Happy to hear that. :D
I usually skip eyeshadow and foundation. There’ll be some mascara, and my brows will need redefining – and some chapstick!
I don’t wear any foundation usually. It’s partly because my skin gets pretty oily in the summer but also because I don’t buy anything becasue I might tan and I don’t know what shade to get. Also I tend to skip mascara because I’m lazy :)
My SPF liquid to powder foundation, very lightly applied.
A shimmery Pink blush.
Waterproof Mascara.
And Contessa Lipstick.
